"Ahh…"
Nancy let out a surprised laugh and hurriedly pushed him away. "No, no, I didn’t push you."
Charlie's lips pressed down in annoyance as he growled lowly, "Still saying no!?"
"I really didn’t!"
Nancy’s lips playfully evaded his, but being in Charlie’s embrace, where could she hide?
As she was about to get caught, she pouted, pleading in a tone of grievance, "I was wrong, okay? Can’t I just admit I was wrong?"
Charlie exhaled deeply, frustrated.
If it weren't for Nancy's concern about 'status,' he would have already taken her.
Releasing Nancy, he climbed off the bed with a gloomy expression and glanced at the bathroom before getting off the bed. "I need a shower to cool off."
"Okay..."
Nancy watched his retreating figure, grabbing a pillow to cover her giggles.
She found this side of Charlie somewhat cute.
...
Linda was thrilled to hear Nancy was going out and insisted on joining her.
Nancy had planned to invite everyone anyway, considering the safety in numbers after Vivian's incident. With Charlie around, she expected no danger.
"Are you guys coming?" Nancy asked Patrick Hastings and Andrew.
Patrick smiled and waved his hand, "I've been to Taurus several times. I’ll take the day to rest."
Andrew shook his head too, "You young people go. I’ll discuss with Patrick about the next competition's pieces."
Vivian had already been eliminated and moved to a hotel the day before.
Nancy looked at Andrew, licking her lips awkwardly, "Master, what about Vivian…?"
"She’s flying back alone tomorrow."
"Alone?"
Nancy frowned curiously, "What about Alexander Caine? Isn't he accompanying her?"
Andrew sighed.
"Alexander said he had business here. He won't leave until it’s done."
"Oh…"
Nancy didn't really care, asking only because of Andrew.
"Okay, Master, we’re heading out then."
Patrick and Andrew waved them off, "Have fun!"
"Ha ha… Let’s go!"
Linda, excited, grabbed Nancy’s hand and ran out.
She hadn't explored Taurus yet.
What mattered wasn't the activity but the company.
She was really fond of Nancy, feeling a sense of regret for not meeting her sooner.
The three reached the hotel entrance, where Linda was astounded by the ten identical Rolls Royces, each with at least two people inside.
"Mr. Firth, you don’t always travel like this, do you?" she asked.
Charlie chuckled, "Not usually. But considering Taurus’s instability and Vivian's incident, I brought more people for Nancy's safety."
"Wow.."
Linda looked enviously at Nancy, "Nan, your husband really treats you well! I'm so jealous. I, Linda, vow to find a man like Mr. Firth!"
