Charlie looked at Linda amusedly, shaking his head helplessly.
She was clearly terrified but still insisted on sharing the responsibility with Nancy. Nancy had indeed found a good sister.
Suddenly, the old man, who had been motionless with his eyes closed, trembled slightly and slowly opened his eyes.
Nancy, seeing this, let out a long sigh of relief. "Finally, he's been revived."
To Nancy's surprise, the old man looked at her with tears welling up in his eyes, unable to utter a word.
She comforted him, touching his forehead gently. "Grandpa, you have a serious heart condition. An ambulance is on its way; you should get a thorough check-up at the hospital. It’s important to treat such conditions early, or the consequences can be severe."
The old man made a couple of weak sounds, still unable to speak coherently. He suddenly grabbed Nancy's hand, staring at her intently as if trying to convey something.
Nancy nodded with a smile. "Are you trying to thank me for saving you? You don’t need to. I believe any doctor would have helped someone who fainted."
The old man seemed even more agitated, gripping Nancy’s hand and making unintelligible sounds. Right then, the ambulance arrived. A doctor with two assistants rushed in.
Nancy explained the old man's condition to the doctor, who then conducted a brief examination before instructing his assistants to place the old man on a stretcher.
As they were taking him away, the old man kept making sounds at Nancy, his expression urgent, but he couldn't articulate his thoughts, and no one understood what he wanted.
Linda watched the old man being taken away, finally breathing a sigh of relief.
"Phew, good thing he's okay, or we really wouldn’t have been able to explain ourselves today."
Nancy seemed unfazed by the incident, as such events were quite normal for her.
She looked around and found some boxes in the old man's cabinet, packed up the jade beads and colored ropes, and then turned to the shop.
Suddenly, it dawned on her. "Husband, do you think the old man wanted to talk about his shop?" she asked Charlie.
Charlie pondered for a moment and replied uncertainly, "Maybe. After all, he was the only one in the shop. If he goes to the hospital, the shop will be unattended, and the items inside are quite valuable. That might explain his urgency."
Linda, putting the pieces together, nodded vigorously. "That must be it. But what do we do now? We can't just stay here and look after his shop, can we?"
"Don’t worry."
Charlie reassured, taking the bags from Nancy and calling out, "Jake!"
A few seconds later, Jake Levi strode in. "Young Master Firth, what do you need?"
Charlie tapped the counter lightly. "Close this shop by any means necessary."
"Yes, sir."
Jake replied, watching Charlie and the others leave before immediately finding someone to lock the door.
Walking away, Linda was still shaken by the old man's sudden collapse. "Nan, how did you do it? Just by pressing like that, you revived him?"
