Chapter 459: Honey, Do You Smell Something?

With a loud "boom", a bolt of heavenly thunder struck down from the sky, hitting the girls on their heads, leaving them stunned and slightly charred.

How could it not be Smith?

Why wasn't it Smith?

However, Lucy, standing at the front of the crowd, recognized Charlie at a glance. Besides the time Smith had invited them for a meal, Lucy had also seen Charlie at the first public competition.

Others might not know Charlie's identity, but Lucy did!

It was as if she was startled by some monster. She raised her hand, pointing at Charlie and screamed, "It's you! It's you! It really is you!"

The girls quickly reacted. The girl standing next to Lucy asked in surprise, "Lucy, you know him?"

Lucy, with eyes fixed on Charlie, felt a surge of jealousy turning her red. She never expected Charlie and Nancy to have advanced to this stage in their relationship!

"He is the big shot who was invited by Smith on the first night of our training camp. Nancy is such a good actress! At first, she pretended not to know him, and then this man pretended to be her fan. I didn't expect they had already gotten together long ago!"

The word "gotten together" sounded unpleasant, especially with the previous rumors about Nancy, no one believed Nancy was speaking the truth now.

"No wonder! I was wondering how Nancy has been so smooth-sailing. She actually has a financial backer."

"Exactly, being invited by Smith, he must be some big shot."

"Haha... Nancy is really something, bringing resources into the group. How can we compete with her? Just let her take first place."

They looked at Nancy, mocking her with sarcastic remarks.

But Nancy remained unaffected. She sniffed around, then covered her nose and mouth with her hand, looking uncomfortably at Charlie, "Honey, do you smell something?"

Charlie knew exactly what she was implying.

He nodded cooperatively, "I do, it's quite sour."

The faces of the girls darkened instantly, glaring at Nancy with fury, as if they wanted to devour her alive.

Nancy was not afraid at all, returning their gaze with ease, "If a Buddha observes the world, his whole life sees only Buddhas; if a demon observes the world, he sees only demons. Your hearts are dirty, so you think I am as dirty as you. I don't blame you. But before, you spoke ill of me without virtue. I didn't hold it against you. Now, with dozens of you blocking me here, I can't pretend not to see anymore."

As she spoke, the slight smile on her face turned cold, "If I don't stand up for myself today, you'll think I, Nancy, am easy to bully!"

Lucy was startled. She had to admit that Nancy's aura at this moment intimidated her.

Before, she had mocked Nancy face-to-face, but since she only targeted Nancy as a person without involving others, Nancy had never reacted. Lucy instinctively thought Nancy was easy to bully.

Even with Yvonne and Rivata as precedents, she thought it was just David and Smith protecting Nancy, unrelated to Nancy herself. In her mind, Nancy was a pushover, to be manipulated as she pleased.

But now, the pushover had toughened up, and Lucy suddenly lost her confidence...
