"Yes."
Nancy nodded casually and said, "I forgive you all."
The girls' faces turned red with excitement. They had thought that Nancy would make things difficult for them, or even scold them harshly for their previous treatment of her. They were surprised and relieved to find Nancy so easygoing. A couple of girls even jumped up in excitement.
Nancy watched them with a smile and raised her hand to close the door.
Seeing Nancy about to close the door, Sophie's heart skipped a beat. She quickly reached out to hold the door open, asking in surprise, "Nancy, didn't you forgive us?"
"Yes, I forgave you, so you can leave now," Nancy replied, a bit perplexed.
"No... it's not like that."
Feeling the resistance from the door, Sophie raised her other hand and forcefully held it open.
"Nancy, since you've forgiven us, you should invite Zach and the four instructors back, and you should return to the training camp too..."
"What?"
Nancy was taken aback. She relaxed her grip on the door, and Sophie, not expecting this, lurched forward as Nancy released her hold.
Nancy quickly caught her, laughing in annoyance, "I said I forgave you, but that doesn't mean I'm going back to the camp. And as for Zach and the four instructors, I don't have a say in their decisions. Whether they leave or return is their own business. How can I possibly influence their thoughts?"
At this, Sophie and the other girls started to panic.
"Nancy, that's not fair. You said you forgave us, so you should return and bring the instructors back. If you do nothing, is that really forgiving us?"
"Yes! If you do nothing, it's better not to forgive us at all!"
"Heh..."
Nancy was really amused now. "Since that's how you feel, then fine, I don't forgive you. You can leave now."
As she moved to close the door again, Sophie quickly placed her hands back on the door.
She turned her head, glaring fiercely at the other girls, before looking back at Nancy.
"Nancy, we didn't mean it that way. We're sincerely apologizing. We hope you can return to the training camp. I think if you go back, Zach and the four instructors will return too."
Nancy shook her head, "I've decided to leave the camp, and I won't return. I really can't influence what happens in the camp. And with so many of you still there, Smith should be able to hire four new instructors for you."
"This..."
Sophie could see that Nancy was serious about leaving the camp.
After a moment of hesitation, Sophie cautiously said, "Nancy, actually, it's Smith who sent us to find you. He said if we can't get your forgiveness, the camp can't continue. Your husband has already withdrawn his funding, and several investors are causing him trouble, so..."
She didn't finish her sentence, but the implication was clear.
In reality, they were not just seeking Nancy's forgiveness, but they were also appealing to Charlie.
Especially regarding their teachers' situation, if Charlie really carried out his threat to the end, they would all be expelled from their schools!
