Nancy, being so intelligent, immediately understood their underlying intention.
She smiled and turned to call into the room, "Honey, it seems they are actually here to see you."
Charlie, who had been listening to the conversation at the door, found it ironic. Those girls who had looked down on him, calling him weak, were now shamelessly seeking his help.
He stayed silent for a while before leisurely saying, "Nan, in our home, I make the big decisions, and you make the small ones. But in my eyes, nothing is a big deal except for you, so you decide."
The girls outside were dumbfounded by his words.
Didn't that mean Nancy made all the decisions at home?
Ouch.
They winced at the unexpected 'dog food' thrown at them.
Nancy shrugged her shoulders and looked at them again.
They had come to apologize to Nancy, but it was just a guise to get Charlie to intervene. Now, the decision lay entirely in Nancy's hands, forcing them to be more humble.
"Nancy..."
Sophie tried to flatter her with a smile, "See, Mr. Firth has left the decision to you, and since you’ve forgiven us, does that mean..."
Nancy didn’t respond, just kept looking at them.
For some reason, Sophie felt intimidated by Nancy's suddenly overwhelming presence and involuntarily stepped back, hardly recognizing the Nancy before her.
Although Nancy was smiling, her gaze was icy cold, entirely different from before.
Sophie's voice lowered, "Nancy, I know we were too harsh on you before. We really realize our mistake. If you're still angry, you can hit us or scold us, just please forgive us."
The other girls also began to plead, "Nancy, we really know we were wrong. We're sorry, truly sorry."
They collectively stepped back and bowed deeply to Nancy.
They were all young pianists of their respective countries, yet they were humbling themselves before Nancy. Even Andrew's expression softened considerably.
Finally, Nancy smiled. She had no great grudge against them, just disdain for their petty jealousy. Now, seeing their collective bow, she deeply felt their sincerity.
"Alright, I forgive you. But I won't return to the training camp. I'll talk to Zach and ask him to return, but whether he does or not is not up to me."
The girls straightened up, their faces brightening with joy.
"Nancy, you're so kind. I misunderstood you before. I didn't expect you to be so magnanimous."
"Anyone with such a broad mind must be a good person. I won't believe rumors anymore."
In that moment, they were genuinely impressed by Nancy's character, smiling happily.
Sophie was pleased but suddenly remembered something important, looking anxiously at Nancy, "What about Mr. Firth blacklisting our teachers?"
Nancy smiled lightly, "Let's follow the company's procedures. The company will decide who's qualified and who's not. It won't target anyone specifically anymore."
"Ah, Nancy, you're really the best!"
"Nancy, you're my idol! I'll strive to be as open-minded as you!"
