"Miss Hamilton, we just received news that the private plane purchased by Charlie has already taken off!"
"What?"
Tina's face turned extremely grim as she processed the news. "Just took off?"
"Yes."
The informant spoke cautiously, "His wife was also there. Everyone who came with them got on the plane."
"Damn it!"
Tina couldn't help but curse.
She had completed so many missions before, but this was the first time she had failed.
She couldn't understand how Charlie and Nancy's departure was timed so perfectly, almost as if they knew about her plans.
Her face was a picture of burning anger, and at that moment, Tina felt like taking out her gun and unleashing her fury on everyone in the airport.
"Enough, Tina."
Young Master Micheal stood beside her, smiling casually. "I always found this mission strange. Just because the girl can tie a lover's knot, they want to kill her? Grandfather is getting more stubborn with age."
"What do you know!?"
Tina took a deep breath, trying to suppress her rage. "The family's legacy falling into the hands of an outsider is a disgrace! Regardless of how she acquired it, the master cannot allow her to live!"
She continued, biting her teeth in frustration, "Each knot is a story. After thousands of years, these knots are no longer mere ornaments. They have a spirit and have helped our family through countless difficulties!"
Young Master Micheal scoffed dismissively, "It's just a knot, made from rope. Anyone can tie it if they know how. Those old stories are just lies to prevent it from becoming obsolete, deceiving people like you."
"Young Master Micheal!"
Tina suddenly turned, her eyes red with anger. "If you don't understand, don't talk nonsense! The family's knots are useless now because you are all men. Why does the master insist on a girl? Because only a girl can bring spirit to those knots!"
Young Master Micheal was taken aback by her intensity, momentarily lost for words.
Realizing she had overstepped, Tina bowed to him, "I went too far, I shouldn't have spoken to Young Master Micheal like that."
She straightened up, but her eyes still blazed with anger. "My grandfather told me that in their time, the family faced a major crisis. It was the master's mother who used a unity knot to secure a chance, bringing the family back from the brink of extinction!"
Young Master Micheal's expression shifted from shock to disbelief. As a young master of the family, he was surprised to know less than Tina.
After a while, he asked quietly, "Does a knot really have that much power?"
Tina nodded, "In this world, not everyone can be fulfilled. A knot is a kind of hope. If used correctly, it can bring things money can't compare to."
If Nancy were here, she would applaud Tina.
She had once used a knot of yearning to acquire a piece of land at a bargain ten billion cheaper.
Indeed, some things simply cannot be measured in monetary terms...
Young Master Micheal gasped, then suddenly pointed towards the sky outside the airport, "What do we do now? They've already flown away!"
