Chapter 483: Humiliated All the Way to Foreign Lands!

Nancy and Linda were chatting happily when Rosey, accompanied by a group of young female pianists, approached them.

Although Nancy had previously won first place in a domestic young pianists' competition, that was just the beginning of her journey in piano. Her later performance with Zach hadn't been publicized due to the day's drama.

So, these female pianists didn't think much of Nancy. In their eyes, she was just a newcomer.

Standing beside Rosey, they looked down at Nancy and Linda with their chins up and an air of arrogance.

"Nancy, Linda, you two snatched the spots for the training camp, only to fail in the first round. Isn't that embarrassing?"

Their performance in the training camp had been kept confidential, except for Rosey. She had belittled them to these young pianists, inciting their resentment and curiosity to come and mock Nancy and Linda.

"Yeah, why bother taking the spots if you're so mediocre? If we had gone, at least we wouldn't have embarrassed our country."

Nancy, quick-witted, saw through Rosey's triumphant smirk and knew this scene was her doing.

"Hehe..."

She gently swirled her wine glass, her amber eyes interestingly observing the group of women.

"Do you dare guarantee that you wouldn't embarrass the country if you went?"

This question ignited their anger like a fuse.

"We might not be great, but we're better than you! To fail in the first round and still show your face, I would have hidden at home in shame!"

"Ha... No talent yet snatching training camp spots. I thought you were something special, but you're just clowns, humiliating us internationally!"

"Trash should stay in the trash bin. Coming out like this is just disgusting!"

Linda was furious, her eyes wide, "Who told you we failed in the first round!? We won first place in the first public competition!"

"Pfft..."

The girls burst into laughter, looking at Linda as if she was a fool.

"First place? Linda, you must be dreaming! Such a bold claim!"

"Hehe... First place, and yet you scurried back here? If you really won, shouldn't you still be in the training camp? Linda, don't think we're ignorant. Think before you speak!"

"Oh, wow, first place! So impressive! Hehe... Only a fool would believe that!"

Linda was indignant because she and Nancy did indeed win first place. Frustrated by their relentless mockery, she bit her lip.

Nancy, without a trace of anger, smiled at the girls, nodding earnestly.

"Yes, first place. We came back because we didn't want to stay in the camp any longer. It's lonely at the top. Being far superior to others and crushing them feels good, but it's a waste of time."

"Hahahaha..."

The girls laughed mockingly.

"Lonely at the top? Hahaha... Nancy, are you trying to kill us with laughter?"
