Micheal's hand hung in mid-air for a moment before Nancy ignored it. Without showing any embarrassment, he casually withdrew his hand behind his back.
Turning towards the group of girls, he asserted,
“I can confirm Nancy and Linda dominated the first public competition of the training camp, securing first place. Everyone, including Zach and Parmelo, stood up to applaud them!”
Zach?
Parmelo?
Those were towering figures in the international piano world!
Had Nancy and Linda said this, no one would have believed them. But coming from Micheal, not a single girl questioned it.
They stared at Nancy and Linda in disbelief.
Rosey, seeing the tide turn, said with a stern face, “You’re not some spokesperson hired by Nancy and Linda, are you?”
Then, mocking Nancy and Linda, she added, “Really, to stand out at the exchange meeting, you resort to such cheap tactics, thinking everyone here is a fool?”
The girls, realizing Micheal's timely appearance, looked suspiciously at Nancy.
Nancy, feeling helpless, shook her head, “I don’t know him at all.”
Micheal nodded, “That’s right, Nancy doesn’t know me.”
Nancy, "..."
Great, now it sounds even more suspicious!
She wished he never spoke for her.
Sure enough, the girls’ expressions grew more furious.
Rosey smirked, “Yeah, right, as if I'd believe that.”
Nancy, irritated, glanced at Micheal, “Are you some comedian sent here to help? What’s this, a joke?”
Micheal shrugged innocently, “Nancy, these people are being used as pawns due to their lack of intelligence. Not my fault.”
The girls couldn’t hold back anymore. Though Micheal was handsome, his insult to their intelligence was intolerable.
“It seems you do know each other.”
“Nancy, is it worth it just to show off?”
“And Micheal, aren’t you an actor? Admit it, how much did Nancy pay you to stage this?”
Nancy and Micheal were at a loss for words. In Micheal’s eyes, the girls were just brainless beauties, not worth a glance.
He wouldn’t bother talking to them if it weren’t for the opportunity to meet Nancy.
Nancy, exasperated, stood up, pulling Linda with her, “Let’s go, Linda.”
“Leaving?”
The girls quickly blocked Nancy and Linda’s path, “Sure, leave! Just get out of the exchange meeting, stop embarrassing yourselves here!”
“Yeah! Get out!”
Nancy, finally angered, burst out with a commanding presence, “Move aside!”
With Nancy's recent 'exaggeration', the girls hesitated but didn’t move, thinking Nancy was just bluffing.
“Oh, I’m so scared.”
Mocked a girl, her eyes suddenly hardening, “You’ll leave now, or we’ll make sure you regret it!”
