Chapter 497: Not Happy to See Your Sister?

Sigh...

Tom shook his head. When Charlie said such things, it was just his way of venting. Now, in a society governed by law, otherwise, he really would have rushed over and shot Quentin, that bastard!

After Tom left, Charlie leaned back in his boss chair, his eyes gradually darkening.

This matter couldn't have just happened recently. It must have been a long time ago when Quentin had already bribed a technician, staying hidden until now, waiting for their research to bear fruit. Then Quentin directly stole it – such a deep scheme!

Thinking of the question Nancy Swinton asked last night, Charlie felt it might indeed be possible.

Quentin was too tolerant. Perhaps he really knew Eva before she married Edward Firth. Then, the death of Edward Firth might have been a trap from the moment he married Eva!

Whenever Nancy had free time, she would take Linda to see houses with the keys.

She and Charlie were already married; they couldn't possibly let Linda live with them forever, right?

That would be too inconvenient.

But Charlie said, once the manor was built, they could give Linda a yard to live in as she pleases.

So for now, Charlie had arranged an apartment for Linda to stay in temporarily.

Nancy spent a whole day helping Linda settle in, and just as she stepped out of Linda's apartment, her phone rang.

Seeing it was Henry Swinton's call, all her tiredness dissipated. Putting the phone to her ear, she happily asked, "Stinky Han Han, how come you have time to call your sister?"

Henry coughed lightly, "Sis, come pick me up."

"Hmm?"

Nancy was slightly startled and asked instinctively, "Where should I pick you up?"

Henry suddenly laughed happily, "Of course, at the airport!"

"What... what?"

Nancy exclaimed in surprise, "You're in Liverton?"

"Of course!"

Henry said somewhat smugly, "I've brought a few friends with me. Sis, come pick me up quickly, otherwise your brother will have to sleep on the streets."

"Oh, okay."

Nancy hung up and immediately drove towards the airport.

She hadn't seen Henry for two years and, truth be told, she really missed him.

As soon as her car approached the airport entrance, Nancy saw Henry.

He was sitting on a suitcase, chatting with two friends.

"Henry!"

Nancy got out of the car and walked towards Henry.

Henry's friends, seeing Nancy's car, got as excited as if they had entered a grand manor.

"Wow, Henry! Your sister is so rich, a Maserati!"

"Henry, isn't your family very poor? How come your sister drives such a nice car?"

Nancy originally thought that upon their first meeting, Henry would give her a warm hug, but when Henry's gaze fell on the car, his expression instantly turned cold.

Nancy looked at his indifferent expression sitting on the suitcase, her brows slightly furrowing, "Henry, what's wrong? Aren't you happy to see your sister?"

As she spoke, she reached out to touch Henry's head as usual, but Henry tilted his head and coldly avoided her hand.

Nancy was instantly stunned, looking at him incredulously, "Henry, what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

Henry stood up from the suitcase, glanced at the Maserati with a sarcastic tone, "Is this a gift from Charlie to you?"
