The four men simultaneously turned their heads with incredulous looks towards Nancy.

Nancy raised an eyebrow and scoffed, "Weren’t you leaving? Why are you all standing around watching me?"

Xander swallowed hard, cautiously asking, "Mrs. Firth, I just want to know, did you... really do this within ten minutes?"

Nancy shook her head, honestly replying, "Before deciding to come to the company, I had Mr. Firth shown me the programs you had written before. So, I had already read those before seeing your modifications to the previous version of the program. I didn’t think much of it, so I couldn’t help but make some changes..."

The four men exchanged looks, feeling as if a stampede of metaphorical animals was trampling through their hearts.

Not to mention Nancy had only seen their previous version; even showing the new version to a professional, it would be unheard of to have it improved in such a short time.

And with precision getting down to three millimeters, the difficulty increased exponentially. They couldn't believe Nancy had done this on her own.

After another exchange of looks, their unanimous thoughts were clear!

Xander turned to Nancy, arrogantly saying, "Mrs. Firth, it’s not that we don’t believe you, but your arrival today and improving the program within ten minutes, while impressive, isn’t enough to convince us."

Nancy, of course, knew that just this act wouldn’t change these men's opinions of her. After all, in the programming field, dominated ninety percent by men, it was hard for them to accept that a woman could be better.

Nancy shrugged, "What do you propose?"

Xander lifted his chin, trying to appear more confident, "Nothing much, just thought of having a challenge with Mrs. Firth. I wonder if you’d dare?"

"Sure."

Nancy nodded, "What’s the challenge?"

After exchanging looks and a silent conversation, Xander proposed, "Well, the company’s system is maintained by us four. Given Mrs. Firth’s position, even if you were to breach the company’s system, no one would fault you. If you can infiltrate the company’s system within an hour, we’ll consider you the winner!"

Nancy alone, against all four of them? They had the nerve to propose such a thing!?

However, Nancy didn’t show any dissatisfaction; instead, she smiled, "Alright, all four of you, come at me, is that it? Let’s go. If I can’t handle the four of you, I shouldn’t be a director anyway."

The four were momentarily stunned, Xander blinking dumbly, "I meant, I alone will maintain it, and you just need to break through my defense."

"No need!"

Nancy waved her hand dismissively, dominantly saying, "All four of you, come at me!"

Seeing the underestimating glances in their eyes, Nancy cunningly smiled, "If all four of you take me on and I still win, then you’ll have to treat me to lunch for the next month. Dare to take the bet?"
