Nancy frowned, eager to know, "What happened? What's the problem?"

Henry's friend seemed hesitant, struggling to find the right words before finally sighing, "Ah, sister, I don't even know how to say this. You better go see Henry yourself."

Nancy nodded, "Where is he?"

"He... he locked himself in his room and won't come out."

"Alright, I'm going now."

Nancy rushed towards the staircase to the second floor, where she saw another of Henry's friends sitting anxiously outside his room. Seeing her, he immediately got up.

"Sister, you're finally here."

Curious, Nancy asked, "Why are you sitting outside the door? Why not go in?"

"I... It's not that I don't want to, but Henry locked himself in as soon as he got back. He bolted the door and won't respond to any of us."

Nancy knew Henry well; he had never acted like this before.

Unless something significant and distressing had happened, Henry wouldn't behave so childishly.

Taking a moment to calm down, she asked, "Damian, you were with him all day today, right?"

Damian nodded, "Yes, sister."

"Good."

Nancy patted his shoulder, "Then tell me everything that happened today in detail. I need to know what exactly happened to solve it, okay?"

At that moment, Charlie and another of Henry's friends, Jilian, also came up. Jilian went straight to Damian's side, while Charlie stood next to Nancy.

"It was like this."

Damian, having no choice, began to explain.

"Today, Jilian and I went with Henry to Grand Era Group to meet with Derek West, the project manager. Henry intended to sell the software we developed to Grand Era Group. But Derek didn't want to buy it; instead, he wanted us three to join Grand Era Group. They offered us a million in research funds to develop our program as a project for Grand Era Group."

"How is that different from outright robbery?"

Nancy scoffed, "If the deal didn't go through, then that's the end of it. What happened next?"

"The problem is, Derek's attitude was very pleasant at first. But when he saw Henry's firm stance, his demeanor changed instantly. That wasn't the main issue, though. The critical point was that Grand Era Group's second daughter happened to be there. She mocked Henry relentlessly, saying the million was a pity offer for Henry and that he shouldn't be ungrateful."

As soon as Damian finished, Jilian spoke up indignantly, "Henry has never been treated like this before. He argued with the second daughter, who turned out to be a shrew and slapped Henry. Henry was about to retaliate when two security guards rushed in and started beating him."

"What!?"

Nancy was shocked, "Is Henry hurt?"

"Of course!"

Jilian was furious, showing his own sleeve, "Not just Henry, but Damian and I were injured too. They were ruthless, aiming for places that wouldn't show. Henry took the worst of it, and to add insult to injury, he was slapped by a woman, which really hurt his pride."
