Chapter 536: Really Calmed Down?

Under Charlie's relentless pressure, Henry's head was nearly touching the ground, and he was completely subdued.

"Charlie, let me go!" Henry said.

Charlie looked at his side face and sneered, "Still want to go find Taylor?"

Henry's breathing hitched. Although he was reluctant, he knew that as long as Charlie was there, he wouldn't be able to leave the house today.

A wise man knows better than to fight when the odds are against him. Reluctantly, he said, "I won't go."

Charlie raised an eyebrow, "Really calmed down?"

Henry almost gritted his teeth to dust. He even suspected that Charlie had deliberately taken action against him today, as if to teach him a lesson!

Through clenched teeth, Henry nodded, "I'm calm, really calm."

"Good."

Charlie finally released him slowly, "Even if you hadn't calmed down, I could have subdued you again."

Jilian and Damian immediately went up to help Henry from the ground.

Seeing Henry's miserable state, both of them cast a wary glance at Charlie.

The brother-in-law was indeed formidable!

Henry, disheartened, sat back on the hospital bed, his head drooping, utterly deflated.

"They can slander me all they want, even expose my identity, I don't care. But the way they talk about my sister... I can't swallow this insult!" Henry exclaimed.

Damian and Jilian nodded in agreement, "Right! This matter has nothing to do with our sister, and we can't swallow this insult either."

"What are you panicking about?"

Nancy chided Henry, looking at him with disappointment, "My husband already said the Lesser family would definitely take action and told you to stay calm. With your impulsive nature, if you had really charged to the Lesser family, wouldn't you have given them exactly what they wanted?"

Now calmer, Henry understood this logic, but he was still infuriated.

After scolding him, Nancy turned to Charlie, "Husband, what should we do next? Quentin Lesser's move was like striking the snake's vital spot, and I must say, it hurts quite a bit."

Charlie lightly pursed his lips, and after making sure Henry wouldn't act rashly again, he took Nancy's hand and sat back down.

"Nan, if Quentin dared to announce this publicly, it means the Lesser family has endorsed his approach. Do you understand what I'm saying?"

Nancy turned her head, her amber eyes locking intensely with Charlie's deep gaze. After a moment, she exhaled deeply.

"I understand. The elders of the Lesser family must have accepted Quentin's statement. In their eyes, I'm probably now seen as a scheming and ungrateful person."

She continued firmly, "But I still trust Master. I believe he doesn't agree with this statement; he just doesn't have the ability to help me."

"That's not important anymore."

Charlie tightened his grip on Nancy's hand, "Now, our target is the entire Lesser family. We're already in opposition, so we must not be soft-hearted. Being merciful to the enemy is being cruel to oneself!"

Nancy understood this logic, but she never imagined that after all she had done, her relationship with Andrew would reach this point.

She had lived for nearly twenty-four years, and Andrew had been the longest constant in her life. Even though she was not his biological daughter, her gratitude for his upbringing was profound and complex.

She truly, truly didn't want her relationship with Andrew to become irreparable.
