Chapter 545: Do You Have Another Woman?

Taylor initially wanted to return home to tell her father that she might have made a mistake, but she overheard her parents arguing outside the door. To her dismay, the argument was about her.

Feeling wronged, she pouted, unable to understand why her mother would side with an outsider...

...

Outside the Civil Affairs Bureau, Vivian and Alexander each held a divorce certificate in their hands.

Alexander spread his arms, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath of fresh air.

Hmm... Why does the air feel fresher after divorcing Vivian?

Vivian, observing his content demeanor, angrily scolded, "Alexander, are you that happy and proud to divorce me? Don't forget, you're just a bastard of the Caine family. Without the support of my Lesser family, you'll only be oppressed by your brothers."

With this thought, she felt a surge of triumph, "Alexander, let me tell you, there's no such thing as a regret medicine in this world. If you come back crying and begging to remarry me in the future, you'll have to kneel!"

She didn't know what Alexander had been up to, but she was aware that, at least until now, he hadn't won over the Caine family. His brothers were no easy opponents, and it was impossible for Alexander to claim the Caine family all by himself!

Hearing her words, Alexander opened his eyes, lowered his arms, and turned to look at her.

His face was beaming with a sunny smile, the sinister air around him vanished. Stepping out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, he seemed transformed, rejuvenated.

The warm sunshine on his face softened his features, making him look even more handsome.

"Vivian, don't worry. I'll never regret it. Divorcing you is the best decision I've ever made in my life!"

Vivian, gazing at his handsome face, was momentarily captivated. Despite being with Alexander for so long, she was just now realizing how attractive he was.

But his words were like a bucket of cold water poured over her head.

She asked in disbelief, "Why!? Alexander, you haven't taken over the Caine family yet, have you? Do you think you can win it back on your own?"

Alexander shrugged with a smile, "That would be difficult."

Vivian was shocked, "Then why divorce me? You know that grandpa, grandma, and dad all liked you and were supporting you, right?"

Suddenly, a thought struck her, and her expression twisted, "Or is it because... you have another woman?"

Alexander shook his head, his response sincere, "No, that's not the case."

Vivian was nearly frantic, "Then why? Why must you divorce me? Weren't we fine before?"

"Heh..."

Alexander, with one hand in his pocket, looked at Vivian with a bright smile, "I don't like it anymore, so I don't want to settle. The Caine family? I indeed desire it, but compared to something else, the Caine family is trivial."

"You..."

Vivian stared at Alexander, utterly confused about what he meant.

What could be more important to him than the Caine family?

Alexander gave her a farewell gesture, marking a cordial end to their relationship.

Then he swiftly turned, opened the car door with flair, and sat in the driver's seat.

As he pressed the accelerator, he looked up through the car window at the clear blue sky, his heart filled with brightness, "Nan, I'm back. How are you?"
