Micheal's sincerity was too compelling for Nancy to refuse, and although their interactions hadn't been very pleasant, she could see that Micheal was not a bad person.
"Well... okay."
After hesitating, Nancy agreed but with a caveat, "Young Master Micheal, if you really want to see it, you can only do so at my house. I'm sorry, but I can't take the book out."
Seeing Nancy's consent, Micheal breathed a huge sigh of relief.
He would go anywhere, even into the lion's den, for his mission, let alone Nancy's house.
"Great, great, great, Nancy, there's no time like the present, let's go now!"
His eagerness darkened Henry's expression, "What's the rush!? The book won't run away. Do you think my sister will go back on her word?"
"That's not it."
Micheal, slightly embarrassed, smiled, "That book is just too important to me, sorry, I got carried away..."
Nancy chuckled, shaking her head. The current Micheal seemed much more likable than before.
Knowing his intentions made it easier to deal with him than guessing and suspecting without a clue.
"Alright, since you're so eager, after my brothers have finished buying their houses, I'll take you there."
As they spoke, Sarah returned with Jilian and Damian. The two young men, brimming with excitement, immediately clung to Henry.
"Henry, um... hehe..."
Henry knew what they were up to just by seeing their mischievous grins.
With a stern look, he pulled out his card, "Look at you two! Can't you stop grinning so lewdly?"
"Thank you, Henry!"
Damian, thrilled, took the card and bowed deeply to Henry, then scampered off with Jilian and Sarah to handle the paperwork.
With the finances settled, the procedures were quickly completed.
When they heard that Nancy was taking Micheal to the villa to see some book, they curbed their impulse to dash into their new homes and followed Nancy's group instead.
Micheal glanced at the large group and felt a bit daunted.
He wasn't some deranged villain; did so many people need to accompany him to Nancy's house?
Including Henry, the three brothers, and Linda, there were six of them in total...
"Cough cough..."
Feeling slightly miffed inside, Micheal kept quiet and happily followed Nancy's car.
Upon arriving at the villa, Nancy led everyone inside, and they found Charlie sitting on the living room sofa. She approached with a smile, "Husband, you're back?"
Charlie reached out, taking Nancy's hand gently, and nodded at her. But his warm gaze turned icy when he looked at Micheal.
"I hear Young Master Micheal is not from Henriana but from RYELAND, where his family's business is intimidatingly large. Is Young Master Micheal visiting Liverton alone just for a book?"
Before arriving, Nancy had informed Charlie about Micheal's visit, prompting him to drop everything and hurry back to wait for Micheal.
The moment their eyes met, the atmosphere turned tense, like two sharp swords clashing.
