Chapter 581: Find Micheal for Me!

Nancy's face was so fraught with worry that it wrinkled like a bun. She rubbed her face, wishing she could just vanish on the spot.

Tom Adams, sitting in the driver's seat, glanced at the tumultuous scene in the rearview mirror and silently mourned for Nancy for three seconds.

As he looked back, a large truck suddenly charged out from a crossroad. They had the green light, while the truck had a red, but it barreled through the intersection like a mad beast, heading straight for them.

Tom's quick reflexes kicked in as he spotted the truck. He spun the steering wheel sharply, and their car swerved like a drunken man, narrowly missing the truck by a whisker.

"Be careful!"

Charlie and Henry simultaneously lunged towards Nancy in the middle, their hands and arms flailing in a rush to protect her. Their four hands and two chests firmly shielded Nancy.

"Ah..."

The close contact with the truck jolted the car, frightening Nancy into screaming.

Tom, an experienced driver, managed to avoid a direct hit, ensuring the car suffered damage but the passengers remained mostly unharmed.

After skirting past the truck, Tom slammed on the brakes and shouted, "Young Master Firth, madam, get out of the car!"

Charlie reacted swiftly. As the car halted, he kicked open the door, shielded Nancy's head with one hand, and wrapped the other around her waist, quickly pulling her out of the vehicle. Henry wasn't slow either; seeing Nancy secured by Charlie, he kicked open the other door and leaped out.

The group, who had been chatting moments earlier, was shocked by the sudden turn of events. They watched the truck drive away without stopping, leaving them shaken.

"What's happening?"

Henry roared in anger, "It ran a red light, hit us, and just drove off without a word?"

Tom, standing by their side, quickly noted the truck's license plate. Without waiting for Charlie's command, he pulled out his phone to track down the vehicle's owner.

Charlie remained composed, guiding Nancy to a safe spot before examining her closely, "Nan, are you okay?"

Nancy shook her head, "You both protected me well; I was just a bit startled."

"Damn!"

Henry couldn't help but curse, "Charlie, you have to catch that driver! Driving like that, he's clearly trying to kill us!"

Charlie's eyes darkened, his hand gently patting Nancy's back, his voice cold, "We must find the driver, but more importantly, the person behind him..."

Turning to Nancy, he continued, "Nan, whether you like it or not, from now on, you must stay within my and Henry's sight! If Henry and I weren't here today, and you were driving alone..."

Nancy playfully stuck out her tongue, "Maybe if I were driving alone, nothing would have happened."

That reminded Charlie of Nancy's driving skills, which were certainly on par with Tom's. If she had been alone, she might have indeed avoided the truck.

"That's still not acceptable!"

Charlie was adamant, "The Thompson family has many tactics. Who knows, next time it might not be a car accident but something else. I won't allow any harm to come your way!"

With that, he turned sharply to Tom, his eyes filled with fury, "You have half an hour, find Micheal for me!"
