Chapter 586: The Kind Who Would Rather See You Dead?

Having been in business for so many years, Charlie had experienced his share of overt and covert dangers and was naturally not so quick to trust Micheal. However, since Micheal was openly willing to foster a good relationship, Charlie was not one to snub such gestures.

"Alright, then I'll be looking forward to it."

While the two of them conversed with subtlety and intrigue, Henry's face remained somber, his lips tightly sealed, not uttering a word.

Nancy looked at him worriedly, "Henry, what's wrong?"

Hearing Nancy's voice, Micheal and Charlie also turned their attention to Henry.

Henry shook his head, "No, I'm just thinking, if today's car accident wasn't arranged by Young Master Micheal, then who could it be? Could it really just be an accident?"

But the car accident had too many signs of human intervention; no one would believe it was merely an accident.

Charlie's gaze darkened, clearly pondering the same question.

Micheal was deeply concerned about Nancy's safety. If Nancy truly was a lost gem of The Thompson family and something happened to her before she could reunite with her lineage, wouldn't The Thompson family be driven mad?

Considering the elders' obsession with kin, he was sure that if Nancy's identity was confirmed and she suddenly passed away, The Thompson family would indeed create havoc in Henriana.

He looked at Nancy anxiously, "Nancy, have you offended someone? The kind who would rather see you dead?"

"Ah?"

Nancy was taken aback.

She awkwardly touched her nose and forced a laugh, "Well... if I've really offended someone, it would probably be Vivian Lesser. But my feud with her is old, and there hasn't been any major conflict between us recently. If she wanted to kill me, she would have acted long before now."

Charlie frowned, "Indeed, Vivian may not be kind-hearted, but she's also not bold enough. Petty mischief, perhaps, but she doesn't have the courage for something like this."

Micheal was somewhat confused, "No one else but Vivian?"

"Someone else..."

A face flashed in Nancy's mind, but she forcefully shook her head, dismissing the thought.

Charlie, who had been watching her, asked, "Nan, are you thinking about Quentin?"

Nancy chuckled dryly, "Indeed, but the disputes we had with him before aren't enough for him to want us dead, right? If he wants to kill us over such trivial matters, then he's too petty."

"It's not impossible."

Henry tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest of the sofa, "Sis, think about it. In today's car accident, all three of us were in the car. If it had succeeded, it would have wiped us all out in one go. And the only one who harbors hatred towards all three of us is him, right?"

Charlie's brow furrowed even deeper, as if he had thought of something but chose not to speak.

For a moment, they couldn't think of anyone else and fell into deep thought.

"Oh no, not good."

Micheal suddenly exclaimed, jumping up from the sofa, "I've been chatting with you for so long that I forgot I have a plane to catch!"

He glanced at the time and hurriedly went on to finish packing his things.

After he was done, Charlie, Nancy, and Henry escorted him to the hotel entrance.

"By the way, Nancy..."

Micheal suddenly seemed to remember something, his gaze intensely fixed on Nancy.
