Chapter 590: Is This a Bad Attitude?

Before Nancy could speak, Charlie flared up first.

"Nan helping you is a favor, not helping you is within reason. Ha... The Lesser family really knows how to demand, so righteous in their requests. It seems the arrogance of Taylor Lesser isn't without reason!"

Henry was also very displeased, "Yeah, like mother, like daughter. Sis, I told you to cut off all ties with the Lesser family. They're not worthy of your kindness!"

After saying this, they each grabbed one of Nancy's hands, intending to turn around and leave with her.

Upon hearing that Dr. Windward hadn't agreed, Andrew couldn't hide his disappointment. But if that was all, Nancy could have just informed him over the phone. Why did she come in person?

Suddenly realizing something, he quickly stepped forward, blocking their way.

"Nan, do you have a solution?"

Nancy, having been unjustly berated by Eva, was quite upset. Even a clay figure has a temper, let alone her?

Even in front of Andrew, her expression was far from pleasant, her anger evident as she said, "No!"

Yes, Andrew had been a benefactor to her, a crucial figure in her life's first half. But that doesn't mean she has to tolerate bullying or insults from those around him!

Seeing her expression, the absence of a confirmation meant there was a possibility!

Old Mrs. Lesser, with her years of experience, excelled at reading people. Seeing Nancy's expression, she felt a surge of hope and approached her.

"Nan, Eva was just worried about the old man's health, so her attitude wasn't great. I apologize on her behalf."

"Ha..."

Charlie's lips curled into a cold smile, "Is that what you call a 'not great' attitude?"

Henry, with a stern face, chimed in, "That's quite an understatement. It was terrible!"

Old Mrs. Lesser, embarrassed, turned and glared fiercely at Eva.

Did she not understand Eva's little schemes? Eva, just like Vivian, looked down on Nancy's background, hence the consistent difficulties she posed whenever she saw Nancy.

But this time, Eva's words were indeed too much.

"Nan..."

Old Mrs. Lesser licked her dry lips, forcing a strained smile, "Lives are at stake now. My husband might pass away at any moment. Please, let bygones be bygones. If you have any solution, tell us. Afterward, I'll ensure Eva apologizes sincerely, and all members of the Lesser family will be grateful to you."

"There's no need!"

Charlie was already against Nancy intervening, and with Eva's attitude, he was even more reluctant to let Nancy take the risk.

Why trouble oneself with thankless tasks?

Old Mrs. Lesser was desperate, quickly signaling Andrew with her eyes.

Andrew sighed softly, his eyes showing sadness, "Nan, my niece was wrong. Master apologizes to you. Look, you've come here, so you must have a solution, right?"

Seeing Nancy's expression still stern, he earnestly appealed to her emotions, "Nan, you've called me 'dad' for over twenty years. Now, your grandfather, my father, is on his deathbed. If you can, please save him. I'm begging you."

Nancy's expression finally softened. Andrew's words had deeply touched her heart.

Indeed... in a sense, wasn't Old Master Lesser her grandfather?
