Chapter 591: Eva, Apologize to Nan Now!

The Old Mrs. Lesser saw that Nancy Swinton's expression had finally improved a bit. She frowned and said sternly, "Eva, apologize to Nan now!"

Eva Luther stood aside, having watched for a long time. She truly did not believe Nancy had any solution.

Upon hearing the old lady scolding her, Eva's back stiffened in shock, and she looked at the old lady in disbelief, "Mom!"

Old Mrs. Lesser looked at her authoritatively, "Don't call me! Charlie was right earlier. If you ask for help, you should do so humbly. Even if Nan didn't manage to bring Dr. Windward, that's no excuse for your attitude!"

When you beg others, you act all humble, but when they fail, you belittle them, such character is utterly despicable!

Even if Eva felt discontent with Nancy, she shouldn't act like this!

But Eva didn't think so. Charlie Firth was her own son. Even if she didn't acknowledge Nancy as her daughter-in-law, Nancy was still her daughter-in-law!

As a mother-in-law, apologize to her daughter-in-law?

Does Nancy not fear the wrath of the heavens?

Still stunned, Eva stood there. Old Mrs. Lesser had clearly lost her patience and shouted again, "What are you standing there for? Apologize to Nan now!"

Feeling incredibly aggrieved, Eva had no other choice but to walk over and reluctantly muttered, "Sorry."

Her apology was so quiet, it was almost inaudible, even she wondered if she heard herself.

Nancy wasn't the type to hold grudges. With Old Mrs. Lesser and Andrew lowering their stance so much, it would be rude of her to remain aloof.

"Alright."

Nancy took a deep breath. It was extremely difficult for her to utter these words.

"There's still one way, I'll perform the surgery myself!"

"What!?"

Andrew, Old Mrs. Lesser, and Eva exclaimed in unison.

It wasn't that they wanted to be so shocked, but what Nancy suggested truly floored them!

This time, it wasn't just Eva who doubted Nancy, but the old lady as well.

"Haha... Nan, you must be joking. You perform the surgery? Isn't that... too risky?"

Andrew also closed his eyes in disappointment, "Nan, even though you're a brilliant PhD graduate, you've never worked in a hospital, you lack the experience. Even seasoned doctors wouldn't dare to undertake such a risky surgery lightly."

"Mom, see, what did I tell you?"

Eva was quick to take advantage of the situation, "Not only could Nancy not bring Dr. Windward, but now she's making a mockery of us. From the beginning, she never intended to help us. She's just pretending to be virtuous and considerate for our family, which is utterly disgusting!"

Old Mrs. Lesser was extremely disappointed, a clear reflection of Eva's earlier words - the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment.

She had thought that if Nancy couldn't bring Dr. Windward, she would have some other solution. But her suggesting to perform the surgery herself was ludicrous!

Even if they couldn't get Dr. Windward, she wouldn't let Nancy, who had just graduated and had no hospital experience, gamble with the old man's life!

"Never mind."

Old Mrs. Lesser waved her hand, "Nan, I know you meant well, and we appreciate it."
