Chapter 602: Am I That Frightening?

Andrew chuckled softly, his hand subconsciously lifting. When his fingers touched Henry's hand around his shoulder, Henry's heart jolted. Just when Henry thought Andrew would laugh and pat the back of his hand like before, Andrew instead grabbed his hand and removed it from his shoulder.

"Is this how you used to interact with me?"

Disappointment flashed in Henry's eyes; it seemed Andrew truly had lost his memory.

His lips curled down slightly in dejection, recalling the past, the smile on his lips turning increasingly bitter.

"Yes, we always interacted like brothers. I called you Andrew, and you called me Henry. Back then, you were the greatest father figure in my heart, but now, I can't find that feeling anymore."

Henry, like Nancy, changed his behavior around Andrew. When Nancy found Andrew and noticed his gaze had changed, she restrained all her affectionate feelings towards him.

They continued their relationship carefully and cautiously.

Andrew smiled kindly, "It's okay, you can interact with me like before."

Henry shrugged; he knew Andrew said this, but who would dare to be informal with the great son of the Lesser family?

At that moment, a figure in the corridor suddenly caught Henry and Charlie Firth's attention.

Charlie, who was standing by the window, straightened up instantly at the sight, and Henry also stood up as if facing a great enemy.

Seeing their expressions, the person laughed mockingly, "Charlie, Henry, am I that frightening?"

Charlie's deep eyes stared at Quentin like a venomous snake, but he said nothing.

Quentin casually curled his lip, "Relax, I'm here to see my father, not to cause trouble. But well..."

He lowered his head, his right-hand fingers gently twirling the wedding ring on his left hand. His gaze darkened, "If Nancy deliberately harms my father's life, this matter won't end well today!"

Charlie watched him intently, his hands by his sides gradually clenching.

Quentin's elegant yet slightly rogue-like demeanor weighed heavy on his heart.

In fact, he really did not want Nancy to perform the surgery on Old Master Lesser, all because of Quentin!

"Brother..."

Andrew stood up, placing a hand on Quentin's shoulder, "Nan is here to save father, how can you say that?"

Quentin tilted his head, glanced at Andrew's hand on his shoulder, and slapped it away without courtesy, "Whether she's here to save someone or not, big brother, you know very well in your heart."

This was an unreasonable statement.

A matter is seen differently by different people. In Andrew's eyes, Nancy is a kind girl, and he naturally believes Nancy truly wants to save Old Master Lesser.

But Quentin harbors a personal grudge against Nancy and Charlie, so his negative perception of Nancy is understandable.

So, this 'knowing well in one's heart' is just a matter of personal perspective and differing thoughts.

Andrew furrowed his brows, feeling a surge of anger, "Brother! The work of doctors inherently has a failure rate. I believe no doctor in the world can guarantee a hundred percent success rate in surgery, especially when dad's condition is already critical. Even Dr. Bell and his team aren't confident, otherwise, why would they call Nan here?"
