After Andrew left, he didn't return for a while.
The people of the Lesser family, along with Nancy, Charlie, and Henry, had finished their dinner and waited a bit longer, but Andrew still hadn't come back.
Old Mrs. Lesser laughed awkwardly, "Nan, Andrew might have gone to handle some matters, don't mind it."
Nancy nodded understandingly, "Hmm, dad is now in charge of the Grand Era Group, it's normal for him to be busy with a lot of things every day."
Quentin, sitting aside, suddenly stiffened his face, casting a cold glance at Nancy, and pressed his lips tightly.
Actually, without the old lady's explanation, everyone knew what Andrew was doing.
Lily had come, and Andrew left in the middle of the meal, obviously to meet Lily.
However, the name Lily was extremely sensitive for Nancy and the Lesser family, so the old lady took a detour around it, and naturally, they wouldn't blatantly bring it up.
Charlie glanced at the time and whispered to Nancy, "Nan, it's getting late, we should go."
With Andrew not around, Nancy felt somewhat uncomfortable staying at the Lesser family's house, so she nodded and said with a smile to the old lady, "Since dad is busy and it's getting late, we'll leave first. Please tell him I said goodbye when he returns."
"Ah, okay!"
The old lady felt unbearably awkward, especially with Quentin and Charlie there, exchanging covertly sharp looks that sent chills down her spine.
If it weren't for Andrew, she really wouldn't have agreed to invite Charlie over.
Old Mrs. Lesser stood up personally to see Nancy, Charlie, and Henry out.
But just as they reached the courtyard, Andrew, who had been missing for half the day, suddenly returned!
And with him was a woman whose presence made Nancy feel a chill—Lily!
Lily was looking around like Liu Lao Lao entering the Grand View Garden, her eyes constantly scanning her surroundings, her face filled with irrepressible joy.
Indeed, the Lesser family was the top household in the country. Not to mention the whole estate, even this courtyard alone was magnificent, making her ecstatic. She even wondered if the Lesser family's toilet was bigger than the villa she used to live in!
"Mom, Nan..." Andrew looked at them with a complex expression in his eyes, "I have something to announce."
"Hmm? Ah?" Old Mrs. Lesser was clearly stunned, her gaze shifting back and forth between Lily and Andrew.
Nancy remained calm, not speaking, just quietly waiting.
Andrew smiled, raising his hand in a welcoming gesture, "Let's all go inside. I want to announce this in front of the whole family."
"Ah, okay." Although the old lady was surprised, she didn't stop them and took Nancy's hand to return inside.
Charlie and Henry followed behind them, with Charlie suddenly reaching out to gently tug on Nancy's sleeve.
Nancy turned her head while walking.
Charlie's voice was deep and as low as it could go, "Nan, brace yourself."
Nancy had been with Charlie for quite some time and didn't need to ask more; she understood that whatever Andrew was about to announce might be shocking to her!
Meanwhile, Andrew and Lily were walking at the back. Andrew deliberately kept a distance from Charlie and the others ahead, gave Lily a warning look to tone down her unsophisticated demeanor, and only then quickened his pace to catch up with them.
As they entered the living room, Vivian saw Lily and was so shocked that her eyes nearly popped out, "Dad! Why did you bring her here!?"
