Chapter 616: It's Practically Killing Her

Andrew gently patted the old lady's back, soothingly helping her calm the resentment in her heart.

"Mom, I just find it troublesome, and besides, Lily and I have been together for so many years. We have a daughter together, and spending the rest of our lives together is the best outcome for me."

Old Mrs. Lesser, "......"

She truly didn't know what to say anymore. No matter what she said, Andrew had made up his mind to marry Lily. What infuriated her the most was Andrew's always pleasant demeanor; he spoke neither warmly nor harshly, leaving her unable to vent her anger.

"Forget it......"

Old Mrs. Lesser waved her hand, "I'm old now, I can't manage you all. Just don't end up like your father, getting so angry that he ends up in the hospital. That would be too much of a loss. I still want to live a few more years."

Saying this, she pushed Andrew's hand away, "I'm going to see your father and discuss this with him. I just hope his heart condition doesn't flare up again."

"Hehe... it won't."

Andrew smiled and patted the old lady's shoulder, "Dad will surely understand me."

From the moment Andrew announced his plans to remarry Lily, Vivian's mind had been a blank, bewildered...

She could never have imagined that Andrew would actually remarry Lily!?

Nancy, on the other hand, had been watching calmly, but inside, a tempest was raging, violently pounding against her heart.

Even though Charlie had warned her before they entered, hearing Andrew say it still shook her deeply.

But this was the Lesser family's business. She wasn't a member of the Lesser family, and even the old lady was letting it go, so what could she say?

Seeing that no one else was speaking, Nancy gave Charlie and Henry Swinton a look, and then the three of them walked towards Andrew and Lily.

"Dad, it's getting late. We'll be going now."

Andrew looked at Nancy with complex emotions, his voice surprisingly gentle, "Nan, I..."

"Heh..."

Nancy smiled sweetly, "Dad, this is your matter. As long as you think it's okay, I have no objections."

Lily, standing by, was deeply shocked by Nancy's demeanor.

Where was the meek little lamb she used to dominate?

The way Nancy just spoke to Andrew, with a hidden edge in her tone, was practically lethal!

"Nancy, you little brat, how dare you speak like that!?"

As soon as she blurted out, Andrew's gaze swept over her face, that icy and fierce look making Lily instinctively shrink back.

Charlie also looked at her grimly, "Lily, this is the last time. If I ever hear you insult Nan again, even if you've found a strong backer now, I'll still make you pay!"

Lily pouted in grievance but said nothing more, lowering her head in silence.

Andrew softened his facial expression, smiling kindly, "It's indeed getting late. Nan, if you're going to leave, then go. Call me when you get home to let me know you're safe."

"Okay, sure."

Nancy smiled politely and then left the Lesser family with Charlie and Henry.

Sitting in the car, Nancy drove while frowning, "Honey, why do I feel like Dad's attitude towards me has changed?"

Charlie's lips curled up coldly, "He's been nicer and more gentle to you than before. Now, he's like a father treating his own daughter."
