Vivian sat at the head table, watching everything unfold before her eyes. Just moments ago, she had been secretly pleased with Lily for finally doing something right—breaking down Nancy’s defenses and avenging her past grievances.
But now, Andrew publicly declared that Nancy was his bottom line. What about her?
She was his biological daughter!
Feeling the strange looks from those around her, her eyes reddened, and she felt incredibly wronged.
Why was she, the favored daughter, being overlooked while everyone unhesitatingly protected Nancy?
Just as Lily said, Nancy must have inherited her mother's depravity!
Otherwise, why would all these men flock to Nancy one after another?
Bitch!
Such a bitch!
And Lily, shocked into clarity by Andrew’s low roar, instinctively shrank back, no longer daring to shout back at him.
“No... it’s not like that, ahhhh... it’s not like that...”
Nancy could no longer hear any external sounds. Her mind was filled with Lily’s words.
She never imagined that the truth would be so cruel to her.
So... it was she who killed her biological mother...
The immense pain overwhelmed her, coupled with the tormenting doubts since Micheal appeared, and the long-term suppression followed by Lily’s deadly stimulation. She felt as if a giant stone was blocking her chest, making it difficult to breathe.
After several gasping breaths and sobbing, her vision suddenly went black, and she fell backward, losing consciousness instantly.
“Nan! Nan!”
Charlie watched as Nancy fainted before him. He grabbed her shoulders and shook her gently, but Nancy remained unconscious, her breathing growing weaker and weaker...
“Henry!”
Henry had been standing by Nancy’s side all along, staying silent because Charlie was there. Now, hearing Charlie call him, he immediately responded, “Brother-in-law!?”
Charlie picked Nancy up in his arms, “You drive! We’re going to the hospital!”
“Got it!”
Henry didn’t hesitate, turning and running outside.
Despite carrying Nancy, Charlie moved quickly, following right behind Henry.
Micheal turned and gave Lily a cold look. He said nothing, but with a mocking gesture and a cold smile, he turned and followed Charlie and Henry.
Andrew took several deep breaths, watching their retreating figures, his heart sinking bit by bit.
Suddenly, he turned around and violently grabbed Lily by the collar, his face icy and his teeth clenched, “Lily, if Nan is fine today, I won’t hold it against you. But if anything happens to her, I’ll rip out your tendons and skin you alive. You better pray hard!”
With that, he threw Lily aside and, ignoring his own wedding banquet, ran after Charlie and Henry.
Lily stood there in a daze, tears streaming down her face.
A wedding, a wedding!
Why was her fate so miserable? Andrew left, leaving her to face the music alone, utterly disgracing her...
