Chapter 652: "Brother-in-law Thinks the Same?"

This was precisely what had been troubling Henry. He looked at Nancy, somewhat puzzled, "Sis, why can't I think about it? If I want to be with her, it’s with the intention of marriage. Since it’s about marriage, I have to consider her family and whether her parents will accept me."

Henry was the epitome of clarity and practicality.

He wouldn't get into a relationship unless he was fully committed to striving for a future with his partner.

But he also had a clear understanding of his own status and felt unworthy of a wealthy family's daughter, just as he had opposed Nancy marrying Charlie Firth before.

Differences in social status could make marriage difficult and might not end well.

He chuckled dryly and looked at Nancy with a bit of foolishness, "Why not consider it? If we don't have a future, why waste both our time? It's better not to start than to end on a sour note."

"Silly brother!"

Nancy lifted her finger and poked Henry's forehead hard, looking exasperated like a mother scolding her son.

"Are you really that bad? You are now the Technical Director of the company, the head of the technology department. My husband even said that the company listens to you, and he won’t interfere with any decisions. He also said that your future isn’t limited to this; once you mature a bit more, he will give you even better resources."

Henry pouted, "In the end, I still rely on brother-in-law."

"Bullshit!" Nancy was genuinely angry now. She raised her hand and hit Henry's shoulder, "If you were an idiot, not even ten Charlies could help you! And those second-generation rich kids rely on their families, don't they? Why not take the easy way if you can? With my husband paving the way for you, you can achieve at least ten years' worth of success in less time! This narrows the gap between you and Linda."

With that, she proudly lifted her chin, "You have a sister like me and a brother-in-law like him. We are your background, your strongest support. Who dares say you are an unwanted poor boy?"

Henry Swinton's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at Nancy Swinton, "Really? Brother-in-law thinks so too?"

"Of course!" Nancy felt even prouder when Charlie was mentioned.

"In fact, I used to think like you, that your family background didn’t match Linda’s. Just a while ago, I was even thinking of breaking you two up. It was my husband who told me that you’re no worse than anyone else and are more than a match for Linda. He also told me not to worry about family backgrounds. After all, as Charlie’s brother-in-law, is there any woman you can’t match?"

Looking at Nancy's proud expression, Henry felt a warm surge in his heart.

Yes, he not only had a sister now but also a brother-in-law.

And to be honest, Charlie had indeed treated him quite well.

"Yes!"

Henry nodded vigorously, "I also think, as Charlie's brother-in-law, is there any woman I can't match?"

"Haha..."

Nancy lifted her hand and ruffled Henry's hair affectionately. "Henry, there’s not much I can do for you, but if you love a woman and are lucky enough that she loves you back, it doesn’t matter who she is. Even if she’s a princess, I will help you overcome any obstacles and marry her!"

Henry's luck was indeed extraordinary!

As the saying goes, when a man pursues a woman, it’s like climbing a mountain; when a woman pursues a man, it’s like a thin veil.

The first thing Linda did when she woke up in the morning was to put on her slippers and dash towards Henry's room.
