Chapter 669: I'll Count to Three

Charlie and the others had no objections, though they were somewhat disappointed. They had originally come to pay their respects but couldn't complete their visit.

Charlie grabbed the man by the collar, lifting him effortlessly, “Let's go!”

The man, dangling like a small chicken, wore a terrified expression but felt smug inside.

Hmph!

My elder brother is a big shot in City Nustin. Who doesn’t call him Mr. Strong when they see him?

You dare hit me and bully me? Wait until you meet my brother. He’ll wipe all of you out!

He had this plan in mind all along, to lure Charlie and the others over so his brother could avenge him.

Henry held onto the urn.

There was no other choice, as it was indeed heavy, and since Henry was Nancy’s brother—though not by blood, their bond was stronger than that—it was appropriate for him to carry it.

Once everyone got in the cars, they split into two groups.

Charlie wasn’t going to let the aunts and uncles come along. He had them sent back to the Firth Family’s old residence and made a phone call.

Soon, a dozen black Rolls-Royces followed their convoy at a distance. Unless Charlie mentioned it, no one would guess those cars were with them.

About forty minutes later, at the border between the city and the suburbs of City Nustin, the cars stopped.

The man got out and pointed to a construction site with a smug expression, “My brother is right here!”

Charlie glanced at it casually and pushed him forward, “Lead the way!”

“Huh? No need, no need.”

The man chuckled, “The site is under construction, it’s not safe inside. I’ll just call him.”

Charlie didn’t say anything, just nodded in agreement.

The man eagerly pulled out his phone and dialed a number.

As soon as the call connected, he started yelling, “Bro, I’ve been beaten up! They brought me here. Come quickly!”

Tom Adams, hearing this, kicked the man’s butt, “What, you want your brother to bring people to deal with us?”

The man yelped but couldn’t escape with Charlie holding his collar. He pouted, “If I don’t say this, my brother will think I’m asking for money again and won’t come out!”

Tom wanted to hit him again, but Charlie stopped him, “No problem, I’d like to see how many people his brother brings.”

Tom sneered but said nothing more, standing behind Charlie with a straight posture, watching the site entrance.

Twenty minutes later, a man with a sleazy look led a large group of construction workers out.

He spotted the man Charlie was holding and angrily tossed his cigarette aside, striding over, “I’ll count to three. If you don’t let my brother go, none of you will leave here alive!”

He raised his right hand, slowly extending a finger, “One!”

Charlie smirked mockingly, “Three!”

Linda burst out laughing, “Haha…”

The man blinked in confusion and froze. Hearing Linda’s laughter, he finally realized what had happened and cursed furiously, “Who the hell are you! Damn it! I said I’ll count to three, not you!”
