Chapter 672: How Could You Not Know?

Mr. Strong looked at the toothless spot on the man's face, then thought about himself...

“Alright, I’ll talk, I’ll talk…”

He knocked his head against the ground twice and then started speaking with difficulty, “Actually, I don’t know who that person is either…”

Nancy asked in confusion, “How could you not know?”

“I really don’t know!”

Mr. Strong was almost in tears from anxiety, “If I knew who it was, do you think I’d be hesitating about how to tell you?”

Charlie’s face was grim, his voice dangerously low, “Tell us everything you do know!”

“Well, okay.”

Mr. Strong raised his head, trying hard to recall, “A few years ago, I received an email. It said to find someone to regularly clean that grave and promised a generous payment. At first, I didn’t pay much attention, but then they sent another email with the same request. I thought it might be some scam group.”

At this point, he looked embarrassed, “I have a bit of a rebellious nature and love to mess with scammers, so I replied. To my surprise, they actually sent me money…”

Charlie asked coldly, “How much?”

“Well…”

Mr. Strong rubbed his chin, giving a sheepish grin, “Not much, just ten thousand, as a fee for helping them.”

He got excited as he continued, “This was a small matter. Since they paid, I found someone for the job. Plus, my brother was always idling around, so I figured it would be a stable job for him. That’s how it started.”

Mr. Strong’s brother nodded vigorously, “Yes! I gave my account number to my brother. According to their request, I just had to take pictures each time and send them over.”

Charlie turned to Nancy, his voice low, “Nancy, what do you think?”

Nancy pressed her lips together tightly, “Can you give me the email address?”

“Of course, of course!”

Mr. Strong quickly took out his phone and opened his email, “I never deleted any of our conversations. You can check.”

Nancy took Mr. Strong’s phone and opened each email one by one.

As Mr. Strong had said, it was straightforward: email communication followed by regular payments.

Nancy noted down the email address and handed the phone back to Mr. Strong. Then, the group left.

Watching their backs, Mr. Strong’s brother sat on the ground with a sigh of relief, “Mr. Strong, we won’t be getting that money this time, will we?”

“Of course not!”

Mr. Strong spat out in frustration, “This time, if we had gotten the stuff out of the grave, he would have given us half a million! Damn… half a million just slipped away…”

Mr. Strong’s brother tilted his head and sighed again, “Well, at least we’re alive. Young Master Firth is too scary!”

Once in the car, Nancy took out her laptop.

With the laptop on her lap, her fingers flew over the keyboard.

Charlie didn’t ask anything, but he knew what she was doing and waited patiently.

In just a short while, Nancy finished her task and looked at Charlie with some frustration, “The earlier emails from this address were sent from around City Nustin, but the last few can’t be traced.”

“Hm?”

Charlie looked at her in surprise, “Even you can’t trace them?”
