Chapter 678: Sleep Wherever You Want!

Nancy was struggling to accept the situation. The father she had always trusted and loved turned out to be this way, and she couldn’t accept Charlie’s words about her mother.

“So, you’re saying my mother was fickle, my father was deeply manipulative, and my biological father wasn’t wrong but rather pitiful?”

Charlie immediately realized she had misunderstood him, “Nan, that’s not what I meant.”

“Enough.”

Nancy took a deep breath, suddenly grabbed Charlie’s hand, and stood up, pulling him with her. “I’m in a bad mood now. I don’t want to hear your analysis anymore. Get out!”

“Nan…”

Charlie tried to explain, but Nancy pushed him out of the room and slammed the door shut.

Charlie turned around, looking at the closed door, feeling frustrated.

She had asked him to analyze the situation, and after he did, she threw him out. What sense did that make?

Those past events had nothing to do with him; he was just analyzing from an objective and fair perspective. Why was Nancy taking it out on him?

He raised his hand and knocked on the door, “Nan, you kicked me out. Where am I supposed to sleep tonight?”

Nancy, feeling irritated, shouted towards the door, “This is your house. Sleep wherever you want!”

“But…”

Charlie knocked on the door a few more times, “My room is here. Where do you want me to go?”

Nancy had already walked to the sofa and was about to sit down when she heard Charlie’s words. She gritted her teeth, took a few steps back to the door, and opened it.

Seeing her open the door, Charlie sighed in relief and was about to speak, but Nancy glared at him and tried to walk past him.

If this is your room, fine! I’ll leave! Is that enough?

Seeing her annoyed and frustrated expression, Charlie knew exactly what she was thinking.

As Nancy tried to pass him, he suddenly extended his arm and scooped her up.

Nancy’s feet left the ground, and she screamed, “Charlie! What are you doing!?”

Charlie pulled her into his arms and, without a word, carried her over to the bed. He took a step forward and used his heel to shut the door.

Even if Nancy was slow, she knew what he intended. She was furious and hit him, “Put me down! Put me down!”

Charlie didn’t let go; instead, he held her tighter, walked to the bed, and tossed her onto it.

The mattress was soft, so even with both of them falling onto it, Nancy didn’t feel any pain, but she was somewhat breathless under Charlie’s weight.

“Charlie…”

Before she could finish saying his name, her lips were seized in a forceful kiss. Charlie seemed to be venting his anger through the kiss.

When Nancy was really out of breath, he finally let her go.

He lifted his head slightly, looking at the woman he had kissed until she was dazed. Charlie clenched his jaw, “Nan, I’m not trying to reason with you. I just think your anger today is a bit unreasonable!”

Nancy snapped back to reality at his words. Her amber eyes widened, glaring at him furiously, “You’re the one being unreasonable…”
