Chapter 717: The Company Is Mine?

Perhaps Charlie had held back for too long, and now he had an endless supply of energy. Unfortunately, Nancy was delicate and couldn’t keep up with his enthusiasm, leaving Charlie no choice but to restrain himself and be gentle.

The next morning, Charlie's younger cousin, Leo Firth, came knocking at the door.

He knocked for quite a while, but there was no response.

Frustrated, he knocked harder. “Bro! Bro! Get up already! The sun’s high in the sky!”

Finally, there was a response from inside—Charlie’s angry roar, “Go away!”

Leo stood there, speechless.

What was going on? Why did his brother sound so... unsatisfied?

Old Master Firth, hearing about the incident, laughed heartily. “Let them rest, let them rest! Who knows, I might be holding a great-grandchild soon!”

Several of the aunts chuckled, nodding in agreement. One of the elder aunts even instructed the kitchen to prepare some medicinal meals.

Meanwhile, Henry stood by his window, looking distantly toward Charlie and Nancy’s courtyard. Linda, sitting behind him, pouted in frustration. “Henry, you’ve been standing there for hours. Can you come and take me out for a walk?”

Henry slowly turned his gaze away from the courtyard and looked at her. Something in his heart felt lost, yet something else seemed to have settled in its place.

“Alright, where do you want to go? I’ll take you.”

As the saying goes, if the emperor doesn’t attend court for three days, the kingdom falls into chaos. But Charlie hadn’t left his courtyard in two full weeks, and yet, the Firth family remained calm and organized, the company running smoothly, and no one panicked.

But Nancy, on the other hand, was about to lose her mind.

“Charlie, enough! You need to get back to work.”

Charlie wrapped his arms around her waist, planting a kiss on her pale cheek. “Come on, call me ‘husband.’”

Why call him by his full name? “Husband” sounded so much better.

Nancy gritted her teeth in frustration. “If you don’t get out of this house and go to work, I’ll…”

Before she could finish her sentence, Charlie silenced her with a kiss.

This little firecracker—she was even more irresistible when she was angry!

Another week passed, and Charlie finally left his courtyard, looking refreshed and in excellent spirits.

Once he arrived at the company, he called Henry into his office.

“Henry, about your sister and me…”

He paused, clearly pleased with himself. “It seems she won’t be able to focus on work for the next year or two, so the company will rely on you. But… I feel a bit guilty about having you work so hard for my company.”

Henry had thought about this a long time ago but hadn’t had the chance to discuss it with Charlie yet.

“Mr. Firth, I’ve been meaning to talk to you. I’d like to leave Glory Group and start my own company…”

Charlie raised a hand, cutting him off. “Henry, let me finish.”

Henry pressed his lips together and remained silent, waiting for Charlie to continue.

“The company you’re managing now is doing well. The management, human resources, everything is in great shape, and both you and Nan are talented in this field. So, I’m giving the company to you.”

“What?”

Henry was stunned. “You’re giving me the company?”

“Yes.”

Charlie nodded. “I’m transferring all the shares to you and Nan—50 percent each. From now on, that company will belong to the two of you. Henry, it’s up to you to take the company to new heights. And…”

Charlie knew Henry would refuse, so he quickly added, “Your sister’s future allowance will depend on you. This isn’t charity—I just want you and your sister to have a business of your own.”
