Chapter 722: I Want to Go Up Too!

Nancy followed Linda’s finger and looked down, immediately recognizing several familiar faces. Vivian and Taylor were already seen when they entered, but now Nancy also spotted Alexander, Sarah Brown, and—her face lit up with joy—Emily Wilson!

Turning to Ashley, she smiled. “Could you please invite that guest to come up?”

Ashley followed Nancy’s gaze, nodded with a polite smile, and said, “Of course, please wait a moment.”

Meanwhile, Vivian and Taylor had settled into their seats, constantly glancing around, clearly searching for Nancy.

After a while, without spotting her, Taylor muttered sourly, “Vivian, do you think that server earlier was just an actress Nancy hired? I haven’t seen any private rooms around here.”

It made sense. The private rooms were discreetly hidden by sheer curtains that weren’t see-through from below. Unless the curtains were lifted, no one could tell where they were, nor would people guess they were private rooms since they didn’t resemble traditional enclosed spaces.

Vivian and Taylor had been here twice before, but they had never seen anyone sitting in the private rooms, nor had they heard any bids coming from them. Therefore, they were unaware of their use.

Vivian scoffed, feeling smug. “Hmph, ever since Nancy married Charlie, she’s become more and more vain. The Thompson family wants to recognize her, and she refused, trying to act all high and mighty. She doesn’t realize she’s the laughing stock of all of Liverton!”

Vivian wasn’t exaggerating. After Nancy and Charlie’s wedding, word quickly spread that the Thompson family had attempted to reconcile with Nancy but was rejected.

Socialites and wealthy heirs gathered at parties just to discuss this, laughing at Nancy’s so-called arrogance. Yet behind their mockery, many of them were secretly envious and sleepless with jealousy.

Taylor covered her mouth and laughed. “Haha… exactly!”

“That’s why…” Vivian smirked. “Hiring an actress or bribing a server to play along is exactly the kind of thing Nancy would do. It’s no surprise at all.”

At that moment, a beautiful young woman in a uniform approached Emily, bent down, and whispered something in her ear.

Emily looked slightly surprised, glancing up at the upper floor where she spotted Nancy.

Seeing Emily’s gaze, Nancy cheerfully waved at her.

Emily smiled warmly and gracefully stood up. “Please, lead the way.”

“Of course,” the young woman replied.

Most of the audience were focused on the auctioneer, but Emily’s actions, along with the sudden appearance of the beautiful server, caught quite a few eyes. People began glancing in their direction.

When they saw Nancy on the upper level, casually greeting Emily, a wave of murmurs spread through the crowd.

“What’s that place up there? Is it open to the public?”

“Isn’t that… Nancy? How is she up there?”

Vivian and Taylor, hearing the growing chatter, also looked up. When they saw Nancy casually leaning on the railing, looking down at them from a higher position, both women were instantly infuriated!

Vivian immediately stood up and blocked the beautiful young woman.

“Hey!”

She pointed angrily in Nancy’s direction, her attitude dripping with arrogance. “That’s the private room, isn’t it?”

The young woman smiled politely and nodded. “Yes, it is.”

Grinding her teeth in jealousy, Vivian spat, “I want to go up too! You take us up there now!”
