After enjoying her breakfast, Freya went to a luxurious hair salon in the heart of the city accompanied by Frederick.
Freya walked in while Frederick and the guards waited outside.
As she entered, someone smiled warmly and came out to meet her, "Hello, welcome."
Freya said politely, "Hello, please help me fix my burnt hair," and sat in an empty chair.
However, just as she was about to sit down, Freya overheard a familiar female voice from inside the salon. "Ethan, we're together now. You can't break up with me!"
"My dad made the call on this. He now forbids me to date anyone from the Lawson family. Take this million, and we can part ways on good terms."
Freya couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, surprised by the constant encounters with those two irritating people wherever she went.
The last time Freya saw Lola and Ethan, they seemed happy together, but now it seemed like they were on the verge of a breakup.
It was hard to believe that they had only been dating for a week.
As Ethan came out of the room, Freya quickly lowered her head, hoping to go unnoticed.
However, Lola caught up with him, her curly hair falling around her tear-streaked face as she cried, "Ethan, you're only giving me 200,000 dollars? Do you think I'm desperate?"
"What do you want from me?"
Ethan was irritated because he had not anticipated getting rid of this woman would be so challenging.
Lola lifted her chin defiantly, arching an eyebrow in response. "Last time, you spent 2 million dollars on Freya. Give me the same amount of money, and we'll break up."
"How dare you? Lola, you have no shame. You should be grateful that I dated you. Don't push your luck," Ethan angrily retorted.
Freya quietly sat on the side, listening as the two of them argued with each other.
Just a moment ago, their relationship seemed so promising, but now it felt like they were enemies.
However, Freya had no desire to involve herself in their affairs and continued to feign ignorance of their presence.
At that moment, a hairstylist approached Freya respectfully and asked, "Miss, Do you need us to wash your hair??"
"No need for anything fancy, just fix it," Freya replied, eager to complete her hairstyle and leave.
The scent of the salon made her feel a bit dizzy, and she couldn't wait to step out into the fresh air.
She was surprised, though, when Lola recognized her voice right away.
"Freya?" Suddenly, Lola's expression changed, and she began staring angrily at Freya.
Lola believed that Ethan wouldn't have broken up with her if it weren't for Freya's meddling in their relationship last time. On top of that, over ten million dollars of Ethan’s money had been wasted on Freya.
Lola felt an intense mix of jealousy and reluctance.
Lola hadn't expected to meet Freya there, and she figured she could use the opportunity to teach her a lesson.
"Lola, didn't you say you didn't want to break up with me? If you can teach this little fool a lesson and make me happy, you can still be my girlfriend!"
Lola immediately latched onto Ethan's arm, saying sweetly, "Ethan, you said that yourself."
"Alright, let's do it!"
Ethan harbored deep resentment towards Freya. This foolish girl not only made him endure twenty lashes but also deceived and swindled him out of over two million dollars.
To make matters worse, he ended up being beaten and thrown in prison for failing to repay the debt, becoming the laughingstock among his friends.
His father even froze all his credit cards, making his life miserable lately. When he saw Freya now, he couldn't help but feel an immediate urge to strangle her to death.
Since Lola wanted to break up with him, he believed that he could ask her to solve this matter for him. Ethan thought that perhaps he could gather a few people, strip Freya naked, and publicly humiliate her on the streets. He also planned to record and upload a video online, making everyone laugh at Bradley.
Freya felt a surge of unease. She knew that after the immense trickery, she pulled on Ethan last time, he wouldn't let her off easily.
With a desperate attempt to escape unnoticed, she tried to stand up quietly.
"Freya, stop!" Lola seized her arm and spoke fiercely. "Where do you think you're going?"
Aware that she needed to teach Freya a lesson and release her pent-up anger, Lola disregarded her parents' advice not to hurt her sister and focused solely on winning back Ethan.
Lola won't mind slapping Freya a few times if she had the chance.
Freya feigned innocence and looked at her, saying, "I've finished getting my hair done. I want to go home."
"Go home? We haven't settled the score yet!" Lola placed her hands on her hips and said maliciously, "If you want to leave, hand over four million dollars. If Ethan is pleased, he might consider letting you go."
Lola's audacity frightened Freya, but she didn't possess that much money, and even if she did, she wouldn't give it to Lola.
Ignoring her demands, Freya continued to play dumb, preparing to leave. "It's getting late, and Mr. Austin will worry if he can't find me."
Lola forcefully pulled her arm, causing Freya to stumble and nearly fall. Expressing fake fear, she shouted, "Frederick! Someone is trying to bully me!"
Frederick, who was waiting outside, heard the commotion and hurriedly rushed in with the bodyguards.
Upon spotting Ethan and Freya, Frederick turned pale. He motioned for the bodyguards to protect Freya and immediately dialed Bradley's number.
Fearing for Freya's safety while Ethan was around, Frederick knew the Austins wouldn't show mercy because they lived in the Royal Garden Mansion.
...
In a luxurious black Rolls-Royce that was moving on the road at full speed, Bradley and Xavier sat together, engaged in a serious discussion.
"So, your new wife stitched you with needles last night, and you didn't get angry?" Xavier exclaimed, his face displaying a mix of surprise and disbelief.
"Enough with the unnecessary talk. Just check my condition quickly," Bradley replied in an indifferent tone, devoid of any emotions. His handsome face tightened, and his narrow eyes squinted.
Xavier looked down at the test report next to him and was shocked by what he saw. He stopped slouching and started sitting up straight right away.
"Bradley, it seems that the blood clot in your brain is gradually dissipating," Xavier revealed.
Over the years, he had been responsible for treating and healing Bradley's numerous injuries and illnesses, from his legs to his face, and even restoring his vision. However, the persistent blood clot in Bradley's brain had proven to be the most perplexing and challenging condition.
Due to the clot's precarious position, surgical intervention carried significant risks, and Xavier hesitated to take that path. Instead, he had opted for conservative treatment, managing Bradley's condition through medication.
Xavier was well aware of the potential side effects of excessive painkillers, but he had no other viable options.
He had asked his assistant to keep an eye on Bradley’s condition while he was away on business some time ago.
The assistant told him that Bradley's headaches had become unmanageable and that a dose increase was required.
Xavier had spent the trip looking for alternative treatments, but surgery appeared to be his only option.
He had invited Bradley out this morning to discuss the surgery, but it now seemed there might be a better option.
Bradley sat back in the plush leather seat, reminiscing about what happened last night. He shared with Xavier how Freya had used a needle to stitch him, and to his surprise, he felt an immediate sense of relief in his head. It was as if a tightly pulled rope had suddenly loosened, easing the tension within him.
Bradley couldn't help but chuckle as she humorously blamed the incident on a mischievous mosquito.
