Bradley focused on Freya as he softly asked, "What other dishes did you make?"
With a mischievous sparkle in her eyes, Freya playfully replied, "There's also scrambled eggs with tomato, and braised beef with carrots. What else would you like to eat?"
"Anything will do," Bradley responded in his usual calm manner.
Freya pondered for a moment and decided to offer some carrots. She picked up a carrot and fed it to him, and to Bradley's surprise, it revealed a unique and delicious flavor.
"Try some tomato. It's also delicious," Freya continued, selecting different dishes to offer Bradley, who finished each one without hesitation.
Although he was only given a small taste of each dish, Bradley seemed to desire more.
All of these dishes carried a great amount of nutritional value, providing nourishment to those who consumed them. Freya had prepared them using her own unique methods, never expecting Bradley to enjoy them.
As Bradley looked at Freya, a radiant smile illuminating her face with sparkling eyes, he couldn't help but question his initial assumption that she was merely a foolish girl. She had displayed intelligence and wit, repeatedly outsmarting Ethan, a feat that most people couldn't achieve.
Intrigued by her mysterious nature, Bradley made up his mind to delve deeper into Freya's secrets. Fool or not, now that she had entered the Royal Garden Mansion, she belonged to him for the rest of her life. Escaping was out of the question for her.
Bradley cleaned his mouth with a napkin before wheeling his wheelchair towards the elevator.
From a distance, he called Frederick, asking him to go to the study.
Together, they entered the study after the door closed behind them.
Once in the study, Frederick shared the news, "I heard Ethan has broken two ribs. He is still in the hospital."
"This is merely a lesson for him. He'll be doomed if he dares to cross the line again!"
He had already punished Ethan with twenty lashes last time, hoping it would make him learn his lesson. Since Ethan repeatedly bullied Freya, Bradley had no reason to show him mercy. The Austin family had never regarded him highly, so Bradley saw no need to hold back.
"Broke two ribs? Hmph..." Bradley's thoughts grew more sinister as he contemplated Ethan's fate if he dared to harm his bride.
The mere thought of it filled Bradley's eyes with a cold gleam and emitted a palpable aura of murderous intent.
"In addition, arrange for a hairstylist to come to the house tomorrow. Purchase the hair salon that Mrs. Austin frequents directly!" Bradley's voice lacked any trace of warmth as he swiftly rose from his wheelchair and made his way towards the French window.
The people at the hair salon dared to take Ethan's side and join the others in tormenting Freya, but Bradley couldn't tolerate such behavior.
Frederick nodded respectfully in response. "Yes! I will attend to it immediately!"
Having been by Bradley's side for so many years, Frederick found that it was the first time his boss was angry at what had happened to someone else.
He felt a flicker of happiness, knowing that someone had finally entered Mr. Austin's heart and he would no longer be alone.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Freya savored the delicious food with great enjoyment.
Rosa couldn't contain her curiosity and asked, "What did you add to the food, Mrs. Austin? It has such a unique and exquisite flavor."
The ingredients were simple, yet the dishes prepared by Freya possessed an indescribable taste.
Especially the blueberry yam dish, with its harmonious blend of sweetness and sourness, proved to be irresistibly appetizing. Rosa finally understood why Bradley kept eating the dish.
They say that if you want to win someone over, you have to win them over with food. In a short time, Freya had managed to cook foods that Bradley loved, and winning his heart seemed within reach.
Freya blinked in surprise and responded, "I added some special herbs to the dish that have a naturally appetizing effect. The blueberry jam adds a delightful sweet and sour taste that helps mask the yam's flavor."
"Mrs. Austin, do you have a background in medicine?" Rosa asked, clearly astonished.
Freya smiled and explained, "When I used to live in the countryside, I would often fall ill and lose my appetite. The village doctor would prescribe herbal remedies to improve my appetite. Through this, I learned a few things about medicine."
"Mrs. Austin, you truly are a savior for Mr. Austin. Since you arrived, he has started smiling again, and his appetite has greatly improved," Rosa expressed her sincere gratitude.
Having been by Bradley's side, serving him and witnessing his struggles and pain, Rosa couldn't help but feel a deep sadness for him. She hoped that he would meet someone who would genuinely care for him and provide him with support.
The three previous women who had come to the Royal Garden Mansion were all used by Arthur, who manipulated them with money in order to deal with Bradley. They would praise Bradley to his face, but behind his back, they would insult him, referring to him as a disabled abnormality. Rosa felt extremely uncomfortable listening to such disrespectful words.
However, these three women didn't stay at the Royal Garden Mansion for long, as Bradley discreetly got rid of them, ensuring they left and didn't cause any further trouble.
After seeing Freya treat Bradley with nothing but kindness and sincerity, Rosa realized that it is impossible to misjudge a person's integrity based on their appearance.
Feeling uneasy about her behavior and the change in Rosa's gaze, Freya decided to limit her conversation with Rosa after dinner and retreated to her room.
Freya then started practicing her dance moves, breaking a sweat before eventually turning to the bathroom.
Once inside, Freya filled the bathtub with warm water, finding peace in its comforting embrace. As the mist enveloped the room, she couldn't help but hum a tune, her mind at ease.
At that very moment, Bradley entered the bathroom. The mist created a hazy atmosphere, allowing him a clear view of Freya in the bathtub, her slender legs resting upon the edge.
He watched intently as she applied body wash to her legs, memories of her changing clothes flashing through his mind.
He recalled her soft and alluring figure, her delicate touch adjusting the shape of her garments, and her wet hair cascading seductively over her shoulders. She exuded an irresistible charm.
Overwhelmed by his thoughts and the sight before him, Bradley's cold and narrow eyes grew deep, he swallowed, and even his lower abdomen tensed up. A strong possessiveness began to take hold of him.
Bradley was afraid that he wouldn't be able to control himself if he continued to watch, so he slid his wheelchair and got ready to leave.
The girl's voice, singing, suddenly emerged from the restroom.
Her voice was like a heavenly melody, deeply moving Bradley's heart.
Memories of that day at the Shangri-La Bar resurfaced in Bradley's mind as he couldn't help but recall the veiled girl whose voice bore a resemblance to Freya's. It was a voice that held a pure and elegant quality as if it had been blessed by an angel.
Caught off guard and filled with disbelief, Bradley stood frozen, unable to tear his eyes away from the sight of Freya in the bathroom. As she dried off the bubbles from her body and stepped out of the bathtub, she wrapped a towel around herself.
Freya's previous delightful mood from the relaxing bath quickly dissipated as she was met with Bradley's cold gaze. Instinctively, she recoiled, sensing an unsettling intensity emanating from him.
