"I’m sure the Lawson family is responsible for my mother's death. In that case, I will send each of them to prison. However, Bradley still has doubts about me, so I need to choose the right time to take action. But now that Lola is getting close to Ethan, I can start with her first," Freya explained.
Suddenly, they heard a commotion outside, a sound that was all too familiar to Freya. Speaking of the devil, Lola had arrived.
"Stay inside. I'll go out and meet her," Abby said, fixing her short red hair and approaching the door.
Abby was a secret agent known for her cold and composed demeanor. With her straight legs and mature beauty, she exuded a cool aura.
Freya didn't worry about Abby being at a disadvantage; instead, Lola might find herself in huge trouble.
In the clinic lobby, Frederick had the bodyguards prevent Lola from entering.
"What the hell?" complained Lola indignantly. "Is this clinic a part of your Royal Garden Mansion? Why can't I come in?"
Abby walked out, caught sight of Lola, and raised an eyebrow, offering a cold smile. "As the boss, I have the final say!"
"You're the boss?" Lola forcefully pushed past the bodyguards, placing her hands on her hips and adopting a haughty demeanor. "I'm just a customer coming to your clinic, so you should welcome me. Why did you let them stop me from coming in?"
"Sorry, miss. Our clinic doesn't treat two types of customers," Abby touched her nose and looked at Lola with disdain.
"What are you talking about?"
"Miss, please turn around and take three steps back. There is a sign at the entrance clearly explaining our rule. Go and have a look," Abby said calmly, crossing her arms in front of her chest, a cold smile on her face.
Intrigued, Lola turned to look at the entrance, and sure enough, where she saw a small sign hanging there saying, "No dogs or individuals showing nudity allowed." She didn't have a dog, so it was clear that she fell into the category of someone showing nudity.
Lola glanced at herself, realizing she was wearing a revealing, tight crop top and mini shorts that accentuated her figure. She recently underwent minor plastic surgery to correct her slightly crooked nose.
She just discovered that she had unexpectedly missed her period today, which caused her concern and led her to the store to buy a pregnancy test.
However, she was denied entry to the clinic after being stopped by guards from the Royal Garden Mansion, which made her fuming with rage.
"These rules are ridiculous! I'm here to buy things, not to get anything for free. Let me in," she exclaimed, her anger rising.
Abby stood her ground in front of Lola and responded, "I'm sorry, but these are rules set by our boss. Please leave."
"You..." Lola seethed, her chest heaving with anger. "Who is your boss? Bring her out to meet me."
After Freya heard the commotion, she let out a chilling laugh. Intrigued, she stood up and made her way toward the entrance, eager to see what Lola wanted.
Lola immediately spotted her half-sister as she stepped out of the lounge and called out, "Freya!"
Freya pretended to just notice her and asked in feigned confusion, "Lola, did you just say my name?"
Lola rolled her eyes at her and responded sarcastically, "Well, aside from you, who else is named Freya here? Come here."
Freya obediently approached Lola, curious to hear what she wanted.
Lola haughtily commanded, "Go and buy something for me."
"What do you want me to buy?"
Lola gestured for Freya to come closer and whispered in her ear, "Go buy a pregnancy test. And remember, say that you're the one buying it."
Freya's mind raced with questions. She wondered if Lola was pregnant and whose child it could be. It couldn't be Ethan's, as their relationship had only been brief. Lola had a complicated personal life involving multiple guys, so pinpointing the father would be a challenge.
"Oh!" Freya nodded. As she looked up, she noticed a few familiar faces walking in.
With a mischievous smile playing on her lips, Freya confidently approached the counter and loudly declared, "My sister is pregnant, and she needs a pregnancy test!"
A group of affluent girls walked into the room and coincidentally overheard the conversation. They stared in disbelief at Lola.
"Lola, are you really pregnant?" one of them asked.
"Whose child is it?" another chimed in.
"How far along are you?" a third girl added.
A flurry of questions bombarded Lola, catching her off guard. She couldn't fathom that Freya would betray her like this.
"You're talking nonsense, Freya. Who's pregnant? Definitely not me!" Lola hadn't confirmed anything yet, but she did have strong suspicions that she was pregnant, and Freya had begun spreading those rumors.
She was so upset that she felt like she would have a heart attack.
Freya spoke with a dull tone, her eyes appearing innocent and sincere. "You asked me to buy a pregnancy test because you're pregnant, right?" she stated matter-of-factly.
Lola's friends crowded around, their expressions now tinged with suspicion.
"Lola, is this child Ethan's?" they questioned, knowing well of Lola's affinity for muscular men from the Shangri-La Bar. They couldn't help but wonder whose child it could possibly be.
"Of course... it's his!" Lola's heart sank as she felt helpless and resorted to blaming Ethan for the pregnancy. She feared being exposed as a laughingstock in high society and losing Ethan's support if the truth came out.
Her initial plan had been to purchase a pregnancy test discreetly and handle the situation quietly if it turned out positive. However, Freya's intervention forced Lola's hand, and she had no choice but to falsely claim that the child was Ethan's.
Lola reasoned that since everyone already assumed she was involved with Ethan, they wouldn't question the paternity. Although she knew Freya hadn't rushed to expose her, she understood that there would be consequences for her lies later on.
As word spread about Lola carrying Ethan's child, the socialites began to surround her, eager to please her.
"Lola, when you become Mrs. Austin, don't forget about us. We'll need your father-in-law's help in business," they pleaded.
"Yes, if you're carrying Ethan's child, Lola, you'll become highly respected," another chimed in.
These flattering words brought a smile to Lola's face. She would gain status and position if she could conceive Ethan's child.
Lola envisioned herself proudly holding her head high in high society once she became a member of the prestigious Austin family.
"Don't worry. We're all like family here. I will never mistreat any of you," Lola proclaimed, her head held high. She felt a surge of confidence and status now that she had the support of the Austins.
This newfound power gave her a plan. If she truly became pregnant, she would ensure that Ethan would take responsibility for it. She began to make plans.
The socialites gathered around Lola, offering both physical support and constant flattery.
Lola basked in the attention, relishing in the role of a queen. With a haughty smile, she turned to Freya and declared, "Quickly, go and buy me a pregnancy test. I am carrying the distinguished child of the esteemed Austin family!"
