Chapter 77 Hold Her Hand and Tease Her

Freya waved her hand and said, "It's not necessary. The staff from Royal Garden Mansion will send me back."

Just as she finished speaking, she saw Frederick walking over to her with a group of bodyguards behind him.

"Madam, it's getting late. We should head back."

After saying that, Frederick turned to look at Bradley. The two locked gazes for just a moment, but that was enough for Frederick to understand what Bradley wanted.

"Mr. Adams, you've helped Madam today. If you don't mind, shall we go together?"

"Perfect. I didn't drive here anyway. Thank you, Mr. Johnson, for the trouble."

Bradley's voice was indifferent when he spoke, but there was a sly slant in his raised eyebrows. In reality, his car was parked nearby. However, he wanted to spend more time with Freya.

In the car.

Freya and Bradley sat in the back while Frederick sat in the passenger seat. Throughout the journey, no one spoke.

Bradley knew that Freya would continue to act dumb as Frederick was there, so he decided to just lean back and silently observe her with narrowed eyes.

She silently sat there, looking out of the window. Her eyes were as black as obsidian as they reflected the brilliant shimmers of the night while her long lashes gently brushed against her cheeks. She looked so pure and clever, just like an ethereal elf. One look at her was enough to send his heart racing.

Freya could feel his gaze on her, so she turned to meet his eyes. "Where do you live?"

"Coincidentally, near the Royal Garden Mansion."

"Oh, that's a real coincidence."

Freya did not suspect anything as the area around the mansion was a wealthy neighborhood where the rich and powerful lived. It was not strange for him to live there.

Just then, the driver suddenly slammed on the brakes, causing Freya to lurch forward uncontrollably. Bradley reached out to pull her into his arms.

In that moment, his handsome and charming face was reflected in Freya's clear eyes. He gazed down at her with deep eyes that were framed by a few strands of his hair that had escaped his neatly groomed hairstyle. It added a touch of mystery to his attractive looks.

Freya's heart skipped a beat, and she awkwardly averted her gaze.

He was way too handsome. Being with him made her feel suffocated. More importantly, his eyes were just too similar to Bradley's. Whenever she met his gaze, she could not think of Bradley.

Bradley smiled upon seeing her blush while looking at him.

"Do I make you nervous? Perhaps you're falling for me because you find me more attractive than your husband."

Inexplicably, he wanted to tease her. He enjoyed seeing her blush. Of course, he also wanted to test how she truly felt about that "ugly" side of him.

"No way! Before disfigurement, Mr. Bradley was definitely more attractive than you are." Freya pouted.

She did not know what Bradley looked like before. While she had gotten Ella to help look into it, there was not a lot to find. Still, they had surprisingly found a photo of him from the back.

With her eyes closed, she could still recall his tall and muscular body dressed in only a pair of swim trunks. It was likely taken while he was at the beach. Even though his face could not be seen, his entire being radiated with a masculine charm.

Hence, there was no doubt that Bradley was a very handsome man.

Of course, she would admit that Adams was very attractive as well, especially his eyes which seemed to have a magical power that could draw people in with one glance.

Upon hearing that, Bradley chuckled. "As you said, that was before. He is now an ugly beast."

He had been the one to upload the photo Freya knew of. Frederick had hold him that Freya was asking what he looked like before, so he uploaded a photo of him from behind to leave a mark in her mind.

What she just said inexplicably made him feel very satisfied.

She would defend him against outsiders yet remain calm when faced with his true face. Arthur thought he had given Bradley a fool who would bring him down to the depths of despair, but Arthur had actually been the fool for Freya was a treasure.

He stroked his chin as his mood improved. The smile on his lips were both mesmerizing and daring.

Up ahead, Frederick asked the driver in confusion when he realized the traffic was not moving. "Jason, why aren't we moving?"

"An accident seemed to have happened, causing a traffic jam, Mr. Johnson."

When Freya heard that, she asked, "How far are we from Royal Garden Mansion?"

"It's about a 20-minute walk, Madam. Don't worry. I'll have someone deal with this right now."

Freya rolled down the window and saw that the roads were all congested. Judging by what she saw, it would take at least an hour or two before they were free to move."

"There's no need, Frederick. I'll walk home by myself." She did not want to waste anymore time. The 20 minutes would just be spent on a leisurely stroll.

Bradley looked at her and whispered, "I'll walk you home."

His warm breath lingered by her ear, causing Freya's face to turn bright red. When she realized she was still in his arms, she quickly pushed him away.

She was now Bradley's wife, and Frederick was also in the car. If he saw that she was flirting with another man, Bradly would be furious when Frederick informed him.

The man instantly knew what she was thinking with one glance. His smile turned meaningful.

He was the first to get out of the car. He then went to the front to speak to Frederick who then breathed a sigh of relief.

"I leave Madam in your hands, Mr. Adams. I'll personally thank you another day."

Freya was confused. Why did it seem like Frederick was being way too respectful toward Adams? He even entrusted her to him without hesitation.

Could it be that Adams knew Bradley in a way she did not know of?

If not, the only explanation was that Frederick trusted her completely since he thought she was too pure and simple-minded.

"Why are you spacing out? Let's go." Bradley gently smiled and reached a hand out to her.

Freya did not take his hand and just walked around him.

This man is very dangerous. Even the inexplicable familiarity coming from him made her somewhat uneasy. She really did not want to get too close to him.

When Bradley saw that she was already far ahead of him, he swiftly strode forward and caught up with her in a few steps before forcibly grabbing her hand.

Inside the car, Frederick had a look of contentment on his face.

Mr. Bradley has really changed. He used to dislike it when others touched him, especially women. Now, he's taking the initiative and holding his wife's hand. He has even been smiling the entire night.

Over the years, Bradley had kept himself in the dark. He was always cold and aloof, never investing in anyone in any emotional way.

However, Freya brought light into his life.

Frederick prayed for the day when the couple could be open an honest with each other without any need to hide anymore. When Bradley truly brought Freya into the family, it would be the perfect ending.
