Chapter 137 Exchange Secrets.

Just as their lips were about to touch, a voice from outside interrupted them.

"Why are you so paranoid? It's just us here, and everyone else is busy doing their own thing in their rooms. Even if someone did hear us, they wouldn't have a clue what we're talking about."

"No, I really smelled a woman's scent nearby, right around us. I can't be wrong."

Herbie eagerly closed his eyes and took deep breaths of the air around him.

"I think you've gone mad with thoughts of women. Everyone on this ship, including us, is the same, all males. I bet what you smelled is the scent of female marine creature."

The other person sneered and lit another cigarette.

Herbie kept moving closer until he reached the storage room. He stared at the door and was about to push it open.

Just then, someone called out to him, "Herbie, what's going on? You said you brought some good stuff on board. Why don't you share it with the guys here?"

Herbie pulled back his hand and glanced at the newcomer. "Oh, right, I totally forgot! This stuff is top-notch quality, straight from Mr. Zoller himself! Alright, let's not waste any time. Let's go have some fun together, guys!"

As the footsteps outside faded away, Freya's tense muscles finally relaxed, and she exhaled heavily.

However, her breath ended up right into Bradley's nostrils.

Bradley took the chance to seal her lips, blocking her breath back into her stomach.

Until both of them were almost out of breath, Bradley released her, leaving Freya's face looking as pink as a peach.

Bradley grinned satisfiedly, his lips curled in a smirk.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, followed by a familiar voice.

"Freya, it's me."

Freya recognized James' voice and told Bradley to open the door.

As the door opened, a cool breeze from the sea blew in, cooling of the heat around them.

James and Ella appeared at the door.

Seeing Bradley's joyful expression and noticing Freya's slightly swollen lips, Ella realized deeply that they might not have come at the right time.

James glanced at Freya and his eyes reddened, "Those two almost found you just now. Ella and I have distracted them, but I'm worried they might come back. Let's hurry and leave."

"I have checked out the ship thoroughly just now. The cabins were filled with crooks and it's too risky to stay on deck. There's no place to hide. Our only option is to blend in with them, pretending to be one of the crooks"

Ella used to be a special agent, so she had a keen sense of danger and knew precisely how to disguise effectively without blowing our cover.

When she got on the ship, she checked it out completely. It was a small passenger ship, with two floors. The lower floor is full of crooks, and the upper floor was the control room, not ideal for hiding.

"I knocked out four crooks just now. Although the clothes are a bit dirty, let's change now to avoid exposure!" Ella threw out three outfits, signaling for the three of them to change quickly.

The four of them briefly talked over their strategy. It wouldn't work to act on the ship, so they had to wait until it docked to make their move. With over thirty people on board, all drug addicts, getting into a fight with them wouldn't be in their favor.

Once the plan was set, the four of them split into two teams. Too many people would make it too obvious.

It was late at night, and they were out in the middle of the sea. Once they boarded the ship, there was no turning back.

Especially since everyone on this boat is a crook, they have to stay alert at all times. Otherwise, if one of those crooks suddenly jumped out, they would end up becoming shark food in the depths of the ocean.

Right now, Freya and Bradley were positioned at the back of the cabin, the safest spot onboard.

"I just heard Herbie talking with some guy. He admitted to have caused that car accident years ago, claiming that someone had manipulated him. He even brought up Wilson. So, I figure this whole thing is also related to Wilson."

Freya gazed at the calm sea surface, where everything seemed peaceful and tranquil. However, no one could predict what risks lay ahead in the next moment.

The sea breeze blew her hair, a few strands clinging to her cheeks, making her appear somewhat fragile.

Bradley leaned against her with a deep gaze, "If this is all connected to Wilson, once we're back in the city, I'll make sure he's brought in so you can deal with him."

Upon hearing this, Freya chuckled and turning her head to look at him, "You must have got quite the ability to bring in the Lord Dane's crew for me to be punished. In fact, I overheard them saying you're tied up with the Sigelac too. Tell me, Bradley, how many more secrets do you still keep from me?"

Bradley grinned, his hand resting on her waist as he pulled her closer. "Well, what about you?"

"Do you know that Mr. Zoller is known as 'The Number One Dart Thrower' in Aurigon? Any dart he throws always hits the mark. Yet, you easily avoided his darts. Let me ask you, Miss Lawson, what other secrets are you hiding from me?"

Being so close to each other made Freya feel nervous once more. When she looked up and met his intense gaze, the heat in his eyes made her feel all flustered and unseasy, so she quickly looked away.

"I won't pry into your secrets, and you better not try to unravel mine!"

Hmm…

Bradley couldn't hold back a little laugh. "You're the one who brought it up first, so why am I suddenly the one prying into your secrets?"

Freya felt a bit embarrassed. She was the one who brought up the topic, but now she didn't feel like talking about it.

She decided to play dumb and remained silent.

During this time, Bradley received a phone call. It wasn't clear what was said, but his eyes were fixed firmly on the rear, as if he wanted to see something clearly.

Once he ended the call, Freya asked with concern, "What happened? Did we get caught?"

"No, my men are trailing us in a boat to keep us safe. Once we hit land, with their backup, it won't be difficult to catch Herbie!"

"Oh!"

Freya let out a sigh of relief. She had feared something had gone awry, which would have ruined everything.

Little did they know, danger was gradually creeping closer as they talked.

Just as Bradley saw Freya shivering and was about to take off his jacket to warm her, a bright light flashed behind them.

At the same time, Freya and Bradley both became alert and squinted their eyes.

"I told you I smelled a woman's scent. Look, there really is a woman!" Herbie charged forward with a military knife, followed by a burly man.

The burly man grinned creepily, "Spending too much time among women really changes your senses. Once we catch that woman, I'll have some fun with her for sure."

"Of course, friends share blessings and face challenges together!" Herbie readily agreed.
