Chapter 165 Get Lost!

"I'll do it, I'll do it!"

Bruce crawled over in panic, bowing every three steps. The sound of his head hitting the ground echoed through the large cemetery.

When she reached Freya, she kicked him hard in the lower abdomen. Now, Bruce knelt on Charlotte's tombstone.

"Bruce, my mom must be blind to have fallen for you. A heartless wretch like you is not worthy of my mom's love for all these years."

After discovering that her mother's purchase of insurance led to a murder, her last connection with Bruce as father and daughter was utterly broken. The man in front of her was a beast-a cruel beast.

"Freya, I know I was wrong. But I swear I had nothing to do with it! It was all Sophie's doing. I was kept in the dark the whole time." Bruce reached out toward Freya, only to be stopped by Bradley's menacing gaze. Bradley's intense stare made Bruce shudder.

"You made a mistake by bringing Sophie into our home and kicking my mom out. Even if Sophie is the one who did all this, you're still an accomplice." Freya's eyes were cold, but her pupils burned with two flames. "Give back all of my mom's things and leave here. I'll take my mom's surname from tonight on and become Freya Barnes. I have nothing to do with you, Bruce."

"I can overlook the dirty things you've done, Bruce. Consider it payback for the eye you gave me. But Lawson Corporation no longer belongs to you today."

Bruce was stunned for a moment, then suddenly became furious. "I'm the chairman of Lawson Corporation! How dare you try to take my company away from me?"

"Starting now, Lawson Corporation is being renamed the Barnes Group. Bruce, you are now terminated. Get out of my sight."

"What do you think you're doing?" Bruce stood up in wrath, trembling.

"I didn't do anything special. I just bought some shares of Lawson Corporation and now own 35% of the company. That makes me the largest shareholder."

Freya stared down at Bruce with a contemptuous smile.

Bruce was unconvinced and yelled with a flushed cheek, "You little schemer! How dare you mess with my company behind my back!" No wonder the stock of Lawson Corporation plummeted some days ago, all the projects he collaborated on mysteriously failed, and the clients he previously partnered with suddenly terminated their agreements. It turned out that Freya was behind the scenes.

"So what if I mess with you? These things originally belonged to my mom. If it weren't for my mother building Lawson Corporation back then, you, Bruce Lawson, would still be a stinking bug in a ditch!"

Bruce clenched his fists hard, wanting to slap this bitch to death, but he didn't dare because Bradley was there. So he could only grit his teeth and swallow it while sneering.

"You may have 35% of the shares, but remember I have 40%. Lawson Corporation is still under my control."

"Do you still have shares? Sophie has taken all your assets to support her toy boy. She quietly sold off your shares long ago. You don't even have 1% of shares left. Now, Bruce, besides this worthless life, you have nothing left," replied Freya with a disdainful smirk.

"By the way, you're still in debt to the bank for a lot of money. You'll have to work hard to pay it off."

Bruce tried to retreat weakly but tripped over and fell to the ground. His glasses fell off his face. He was soaked all over, looking like a drowned rat.

At that moment, his phone rang.

Bruce tremblingly swiped the screen and answered the call, then heard a voice coming from the other end.

"Hello, Mr. Lawson. I am from the bank. We're calling to inform you that your villa has been frozen due to unpaid debts. The villa will be auctioned off in two days, so please pack your things and move out as soon as possible."

Boom!

Bruce felt like the sky was falling and instantly dropped from heaven to hell!

He's lost all hope, with his blood vessels on the verge of bursting.

He suddenly lost control of himself and vomited a mouthful of blood.

Freya casually wiped off the few drops of blood that had splattered on the tombstone, showing no emotion.

"Don't let your blood stain my mom's tombstone. Get lost. My mom doesn't want to see you!"

Bodyguards directly dragged Bruce out of the cemetery. Only then did Freya kneel weakly before Charlotte's grave, gently stroking the black and white photo.

"Mom, can you see me from heaven? I've made Sophie pay for what she did, and I've made Bruce kneel at your grave and beg for forgiveness. No one will ever hurt us again."

Bradley knelt next to her and bowed deeply. "I should also call you Mom, just like Freya does. I'm Bradley, your daughter's husband. From now on, I will be responsible for protecting Freya. I will devote my life to making her happy."

Freya glanced at him, her eyes a bit teary. She reached out her hand and held his, their fingers intertwined.

Today, she was no longer alone when visiting her mother's grave after years. She had her husband, Bradley, by her side.

Freya closed her eyes and thought, 'Mom, I love him. I love him the way you loved Dad, but he's different from Dad. He cherishes and protects me. I'm so happy with him.'

The drizzle gradually intensified, with raindrops drumming against the large black umbrella. However, Bradley held most of the umbrella over her head, creating a sunny space for her while leaving himself half-drenched.

Freya's knees grew numb as she knelt in the rain for half an hour, causing a wave of dizziness to overcome her.

She nearly passed out from a coma this morning. Still, despite her bad state, she attended the news conference in the afternoon. Now, the continuous rain and cold wind weakened her even more.

The cold seeped into her bones. When she looked around, her vision was blurry and she saw everything in double.

Freya felt dizzy and light-headed. Her body uncontrollably lurched forward.

Suddenly, she felt herself being lifted into the air. The world spun around her, and then she was in Bradley's arms.

Freya struggled to open her eyes. She was curled up in his arms, shivering.

"You have a fever. I'm taking you to the hospital now!" Bradley's face was pale as well. His wound had burst open, blood surging on his back. Despite the needle-like pain from being soaked in the rain earlier, he didn't care.

He carried Freya's slender body toward the car's parking spot, leaving a bloody trail.

Ella and Madeline followed behind.

As Ella watched the two figures walk away, she saw the blood on the ground. She sighed, "Freya has been through so much. She's finally found happiness. I believe Bradley will protect and give her the future she deserves."
