Chapter 195 To stay as beautiful as a flower

“Dear child, Lawson Corporation has been poorly managed for years. Ever considered selling it and stay comfortably as the young lady at the Royal Garden Mansion? Bradley has more than enough means to support you."

"Women need not work so hard. You don't have to personally handle everything. That's exhausting! Women should stay at home, take care of the family, and raise children. Since you're married to Bradley, it's about time to have a child."

"In the old days, your mother-in-law and I... I was out building my career, and she focused on staying as beautiful as a flower. Whenever I came home, there was a hot meal waiting for me. How wonderful. Bradley has just taken over the Austin Corporation, and he must be tired lately. He needs you by his side to take care of him. If you're both building your careers, who will be taking care of the family?"

Freya smiled helplessly and corrected him, " Lawson Corporation is now known as the Lawson Group, named after my late mother. The Lawson Group embodies a great deal of my mother's effort, before being mismanaged by Bruce Lawson. I want to revitalize Lawson Group and bring it to its peak to fulfil my mother's wish."

"As for having children, Bradley and I have discussed it, and we'll consider it in a few years." Freya glanced at Bradley and asked, "Isn't that right, Bradley?"

Bradley nodded reluctantly.

He wanted a child, and he wanted one now.

Freya continued, "I will also devote myself to managing the household, without affecting our relationship."

After listening, Owen didn't try to persuade further.

After spending this time together, he realized that Freya was a woman with strong opinions, but that's precisely why she was most suitable for Bradley.

The plan for Solterra was imminent, and this battle would sooner or later be fought. What Bradley needed most was a supportive and wise wife to stand by him.

He had initially worried that Freya might hinder Bradley, but now it seemed that all his worries were unnecessary.

After discussing the Lawson family matters, Owen dismissed Freya. After all, the fewer people who knew about Solterra, the better.

Once Freya left, Owen's expression immediately turned serious.

"Bradley, thanks to you, the crisis in the company was resolved so quickly this time. I really didn't expect that the fire was set by that bastard."

Just yesterday, Bradley confessed the truth about the fire seven years ago to Owen.

Originally, he didn't want to reveal it so soon, but Arthur Austin insisted on pushing things, so he didn't blame himself for being ruthless.

"It's too late for me to say anything now, but can you please spare him considering my contributions to Solterra over the years? Give him a way out."

Owen kneeled before Bradley, his eyes brimming with tears. "I know what I'm saying is selfish, but no matter how bad Arthur is, he's still my biological son."

Bradley's dark eyes dimmed.

He did indeed spare Arthur repeatedly over the years, considering Owen's contributions to Solterra. Otherwise, Arthur would have been dead five years ago!

Yesterday, he had already ordered Shadow to hand over all the evidence of Arthur's arson to the police for processing!

Arthur Austin immediately fled with Lydia Austin, and now they were both wanted by the police citywide.

"Father, please get up!" Bradley helped him up. "You may be my subordinate in Solterra, but in the Austin family, you're my elder. You don't have to do this for me."

"After Arthur is arrested and brought to justice, I will try to mitigate his death penalty, but he'll probably spend his life in prison."

Owen's tears flowed freely. "One who walks a sinful path will meet his own end. This is his retribution! I know I've been lenient with him over the years, hoping he would mend his ways, but who knew he would not repent and even worsen his actions. Sending him to prison is letting him off lightly."

"I've given up on Arthur and his family. I just hope you can support James well. Even if you return to Solterra in the future, James can still hold up the entire family."

"Don't worry, I will." Although Bradley harboured resentment toward James because of Freya, he didn't deny James's capability to support the Austin Corporation.

"Oh, by the way, when do you plan to start the plan in Solterra?" Owen asked, remembering something.

Bradley furrowed his brows. "It's still early. The timing isn't right yet."

As long as he found that girl and obtained the Shadowfang Jade Whistle, it would be the best time to reclaim Solterra.

But that girl seemed to have disappeared from the world.

Where should he go to find her?

Bradley's brows furrowed deeply. If he couldn't retrieve the Shadowfang Jade Whistle, this campaign would have to be executed within two years; otherwise, all his years of planning and preparation would be in vain.

"Does Freya know about the situation in Solterra?" Owen asked again.

Bradley's brows furrowed deeper. "I haven't mentioned it to her yet. After all, this plan is extremely dangerous. I don't want to get her into danger, so I still need Grandpa to keep it confidential for me."

"Without your permission, I won't say a word. But I can see that Freya will become your virtuous support in the future. Although Arthur has a twisted mind, he accidentally helped you find a good partner."

"This is perhaps the best thing Arthur has done in the past ten years." Talking about Freya, there was a barely noticeable smile on Bradley's lips.

Everything between them was destined to be tangled for the rest of their lives, when he was chased and broke into Lawson's mansion, stealing her first kiss. He would tightly hold her hand and never let go again.

Thinking of this, Bradley couldn't wait to see Freya.

"Well, Freya has been waiting outside for a long time. Go and accompany her!" Owen, as an experienced elder, naturally understood Bradley's thoughts and ended the meeting with a smile.

"I'll go look for Freya. We won't stay for dinner."

"Go ahead." Owen waved his hand. "You young couple should go have a candlelight dinner!"

Bradley faintly smiled.

Leaving the study and going downstairs, he didn't find Freya in the living room. After asking the servants, he learned that she had gone to the garden, so he went to

"Uncle Bradley."

On the road, someone suddenly called out to him.

It was Jinny Austin. His expression darkened.

Jinny hurried over and knelt in front of him, tears streaming down her face as he pleaded, "Uncle Bradley, please spare my brother. He knows his mistake and won't dare to cause trouble to Aunt Freya anymore."

Bradley remained expressionless.

Yesterday, he had revealed all of Ethan's deeds to their grandfather. While Arthur thought he might end up in prison and fled with his wife, Lydia, Ethan wouldn't be so lucky.
