Chapter 204 Absolutely Beastly and Inhumane

Freya clenched her fists upon hearing what Bruce said.

She was still a child when her mother died, so Bruce bought a random plot of land. Without a funeral or a proper burial ceremony, her mother was buried by a few random people Bruce hired.

She had actually built and furnished the grave mound herself. From start to finish, Bruce never showed up.

She had been thinking of tidying up her mother's grave soon, but Bruce was now viciously selling off the plot of land which included her mother's grave.

He was absolutely beastly and inhumane.

"Bruce, I'm warning you. If you dare touch my mother's grave, I will make you wish you were dead!"

On the other end, Bruce wickedly laughed. "If you want to keep your mother's grave, bring the money now to save me. Otherwise, I will mortgage that piece of land right now.

"Miss Lawson, do you hear me? Do you want the grave or the money? It's up to you. You only have half an hour to make up your mind. One second late, and I will have people dig up the grave and dispose of the body."

Freya clenched her fists. Her throat felt dry as she forced herself to say, "Send me the location."

Soon, the address was sent to her.

"Come alone. If you dare to report to the police, you'll bear the consequences!" the man said before hanging up.

Freya glanced at the address and quickly called Ella.

"Prepare 50 million for me. I'm getting it right now."

"What happened? Why do you suddenly need all that cash?" Ella skeptically asked.

"I'll tell you when I get there."

Without further ado, Freya quickly grabbed her bag and hurried downstairs.

Rosa came out of the kitchen and asked, "Madam, where are you running off to?"

"I have something to take care of. Please make dinner for tonight." Freya did not have the time to tell Rosa more as she hurriedly ran toward the door.

She drove all the way to Culinary Crown Court where Ella was waiting for her by the entrance with the prepared money.

"Are you in trouble?" Ella asked when she handed Freya the case.

"My father got a high-interest loan and has been kidnapped. He is planning to use my mother's gravesite as collateral. I have to go there and get back the deed. Whether he lives or dies, I don't care. I just want to retrieve the deed."

Freya was rushing as she had only been given half an hour. She did not have much time.

"I'll go with you," Ella said, opening the car door to get in. However, Freya stopped her, saying, "I just sent you the address. Just follow me discreetly."

"Alright. Be safe." Ella waved her hand, closed the car door, and then followed Freya in her own car.

When Freya arrived, it was already 5:00 p.m. The location given was in the city's outskirts and deserted with only an old abandoned iron yard around.

When Freya got out of the car, a dozen thugs holding sticks and knives surrounded her with lecherous smiles on their faces.

"Where is your leader?" Freya coldly asked.

"Haha! As expected of Bradley Austin's woman. You're bold!" The coarse voice of a man came from the factory as a middle-aged man walked out while clapping his hands.

Freya looked at the speaker to find a man in a black work vest standing on the steps with arms tattooed with fierce open-mouthed dragons.

It seems that men in this line of work liked that type of tattoo. Did they think it would make them look fierce and intimidating?

Freya coldly smirked. "I'm here, where is Bruce? Take me to him."

The man squinted his eyes as he looked her up and down. She was a real beauty who was as attractive in person as on TV.

More importantly, she was Bradley's. It would certainly be pleasant to have her.

The man made up his mind that he would definitely have a taste of her today, no matter what.

The man's lecherous gaze made her uncomfortable, causing her to darkly asked, "Are you going back our deal? Money for the man, right?"

He smirked and said, "Who knows if you'll resort to tricks? I'll have to pat you down first!"

With that, the man walked down the steps and signaled two thugs to hold her down while he began to grope her.

When she sensed that he was becoming more aggressive and was even reaching toward her chest, Freya's pupils dilated as she grabbed the man's wrist.

"Don't move, or I'll destroy you," she coldly stated.

The man was even more excited as he savagely laughed. "Good, good. You're feisty. I like it."

He then reached toward her buttocks with his other hand.

Freya felt disgusted and could not hold back any longer. With a strong grip on the man's wrist, she twisted her hand. There was a loud sound of bones cracking.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch!" The man's face twisted in pain as he screamed.

Soon, a dozen knives were held against Freya's neck.

The man angrily barked out, "Take this woman inside!"

Two thugs came over and forced Freya into the scrapyard with them.

Far away, Freya spotted Bruce. He was tied to a chair and covered in blood, a clear sign that he had suffered a lot.

Freya narrowed her eyes and shook the briefcase in her hand as she blankly said, "Take the 50 million and do what you want with Bruce. I just want the deed."

The man coldly sneered. "You really are heartless. You don't even care about your father!"

Freya smiled. "Now that you know, do as I say and hand over the deed."

"Go. Bring us the deed," the man instructed the thugs around them.

Soon, the thug walked over with a piece of paper. "Boss, here is what you asked for."

Freya reached out to grab it, but the man dodged her hand and thumbed his nose as he scoffed. "We'll check the amount before we hand it to you."

Freya then threw the briefcase in her hand to the ground. The man signaled for two thugs to open and inspect it.

Inside was 50 million in cash.

"I have kept my promise. Give me the deed." Freya held her hand out with cold eyes.

At that moment, Bruce woke up. When he saw Freya, he immediately started begging. "Freya, please save me. I know I was wrong."

Freya furrowed her brows. With her eyes shining in annoyance and indifference, she casually said, "I don't have a dad."

Once she had made up her mind to cut ties with Bruce, he was already dead to her.

If he had not gone mad and threatened her with her mother's grave, she would not have stepped foot in this place at all.

"Freya, if you don't save me, I won't spare you even after I'm in hell," Bruce frantically said as he threatened her, even biting down hard on his teeth. He seemed to have injured his gums as blood began to drip from the corner of his mouth.

Freya remained indifferent.

She defiantly looked at the boss of the thugs. "Give me the deed." She was losing patience. It was late. Bradley would be worried if he could not find her.

The boss smirked and suggestively said, "I can give you the deed, but then there's this contract for the sale of your person..."

The man had someone bring out a piece of paper with a stamped seal before he waved it in front of Freya.

With just one glance, her pupils dilated and her first instinct was to go for the grab.
