"I'm sure this guy is from the Austin Corporation, Officer Zane. Look at this." The room became tense when the officer scrolling Twitter gave Zane his phone.
When they realized what was happening, everyone's expression turned grim.
"What are you waiting for? Hurry up and release them!" Officer Zane urged.
Junior officers quickly released them while tearing up the arrest warrant.
"Mr. Austin, I'm so sorry for this misunderstanding. We've been investigating a lot of cases of underage girls being trafficked in the area lately, so when we got the call, we rushed over without thinking. We never meant to cause any trouble." Officer Zane wiped away a cold sweat and quickly apologized.
Shadow was also released. He immediately came to Bradley's side. "Are you okay?" he asked respectfully.
Bradley waved his hand. The two electric batons had paralyzed him for a short time, but they had not injured him.
He looked coldly at the officer, raising an eyebrow. "Where is my wife?"
"I'll get her out right away," Officer Zane said, about to go and release her personally.
"No need." Bradley walked ahead and kicked open the door of the inspection room, scooping up the limp Freya into his arms. His eyes filled with distress.
Freya was in the middle of a lonely, empty testing room when she felt a warm embrace. She instinctively kissed Bradley on the lips as her body heated up.
"Hubby, don't ..."
Bradley pursed his lips. He spoke with a hoarse voice, his dark eyes brimming with tenderness. "Good girl, Patrick will be here with the antidote soon. Just hang on a little longer," he gently coaxed her.
"I don't want to wait anymore. I want it," Freya cried in frustration, her body on the verge of exploding after holding back for so long.
Despite his consent, she quickly threw her arms around his neck and kissed him harder.
Looking outside, Bradley tried to halt her with a restrained voice. "Baby, please. It isn't the place."
"I don't care." Freya pouted. She kissed him in a daze, wanting to arouse his desire.
Bradley had no choice but to close the door and hold her tightly in his arms, shielding her from any prying eyes outside.
"Hubby, can't you do it?" Freya teased him for a long time, but the man remained motionless. She bit her lip in frustration and impatience.
Bradley chuckled in exasperation. Couldn't he?
If the police hadn't barged in just now, he would have made her cry and beg for mercy.
Now that he faced such questioning, resentment seethes within him.
Shadow might have spoken to the police officers outside, dispersing all of them.
Bradley couldn't resist her teasing and pecked her on the lips.
Freya lost all control as the man's kiss swept over her. She became even more restless.
Her hands gripped his collar tightly as she muttered his name over and over again. "Brady, Bradley, hubby. Hmph ..."
The woman's cheeks were flushed. Her moist eyes were alluring and innocent, making Bradley's throat bob uncontrollably.
He cupped her face and kissed her gently. He pulled her onto his lap and said in a husky voice, "Don't tease me, or I'll punish you at the police station."
Just as he finished speaking, a carefree voice came from outside. "Bradley, it's been half an hour. How are you doing now? Do you still need the antidote?"
Patrick kicked the testing room door loudly, glancing inside. Even a nightclub playboy like him couldn't help but blush at the view.
Cough, cough, cough!
"Hey, this is a police station. Are you sure you want to do this here?"
Patrick turned around and raised an eyebrow, saying in a playful tone, "Bradley, I don't think you need to take your medicine anymore. There's a hotel across the street. I'll go book you a room."
Then he turned to leave.
"Stop!"
Bradley wrapped Freya's delicate body in his suit jacket and strode toward him. "Give it to me."
Patrick swept his gaze over him.
His clothes were messy, with the buttons of his black shirt ripped off, exposing a muscular chest. His suit pants wrinkled, and the desire in his eyes remained, creating a sense of indulgence and leisure.
The point was the blood on his lips was too provocative and arousing.
Bradley always had a severe expression and seemed uninterested in pursuing romantic relationships. It was strange to see him act that wildly despite his typical decisiveness and avoidance of women.
The man before him was like an insatiable wolf.
"Bradley, don't take this medicine anymore. It's bad for your health."
Patrick craned his neck, trying to see over the man's shoulder.
He still had no idea who the woman inside was. He had only caught a glimpse of her tiny back.
Bradley reached out and forcibly pushed Patrick's face away, warning him fiercely, "Take another look and I'll gouge your eyes out."
Patrick shrank his neck. "Come on, don't be so mean. A glance won't hurt her." He said his piece, then couldn't resist taking another look. The woman huddled in a ball, her face obscured by her suit.
"Tell me quickly. Is that woman Freya or Juliet?" he asked anxiously.
Rushing over urgently upon receiving Bradley's call, Patrick didn't dare to mention even a word when Madeline asked about it.
He needed to find out who Bradley was with. If it were Juliet, Madeline would probably be here to kill him by now.
Forget about the antidote and send rat poison right away instead.
After all, Madeline cared so much about Freya that she would kill anyone who dared to bully her.
Bradley was about to speak when he heard a painful whimper behind him. "Hubby, I'm so hot."
Freya tore off her suit jacket and revealed herself.
Patrick took a chance to glance inside. When he saw the familiar face, his heart sank.
Luckily, it was Freya.
If it were Juliet, everything would be in trouble.
Patrick, Xavier, and Gabriel are Bradley's sworn brothers. They had fought side by side with him through life and death, and he had personally groomed them to be his right-hand men. They were all involved in the plans regarding Solterra.
Patrick was naturally aware of Juliet.
She was the only survivor of the Jordan family.
Bradley had always thought of her as a little sister. But on her 18th birthday, she confessed her love for him and offered herself to him.
That day, Bradley went into an allergic shock and almost died.
She suffered mental illness after losing her innocence to Bradley. Bradley took her back to the capital city out of responsibility and guilt.
He wasn't worried about Bradley making a move on Juliet because Bradley wouldn't be able to touch her anyway. He was just concerned that Juliet wouldn't give up and would keep bugging him.
Bradley snatched the antidote anxiously, wrapped her in his suit again, and fed her the pill.
