Chapter 216 Cure Me!

Freya expected the person to be something other than Lance Fenton.

Although they had only met once, this person had helped her out of a difficult situation. They even became trending topics together, which made Bradley jealous for a long time. How could she forget?

Moreover, Lance's name had recently been very loud in the capital. He used unconventional means to build his business empire. Now, his photos were all over newspapers and weekly magazines.

It was hard to forget someone like him.

Lance glanced at her with a mysterious gaze, saying nothing.

This guy felt like an ice cube, making Freya tremble.

"Mr. Fenton, I'm truly sorry for this accident. I will make sure the insurance company compensates you for any damages."

"Compensation?" Lance raised his eyebrows. "Can you compensate for my safety, for my time?"

He was thinking about tomorrow's party when this woman came out of nowhere and derailed his thought.

He wasn't injured, but he still lost a lot of time because of this accident.

Lance was punctual and couldn't stand wasting even a single second. By this point, he'd already wasted a whole ten minutes.

Freya pursed her lips and tilted her head back to look at him. "So, what do you want?"

"Go to the hospital."

The man replied coldly.

Freya scanned him from head to toe. He wasn't injured, so why would they go to the hospital?

Was he trying to trick her?

Surely not.

Lance was the CEO of Cloudstone Corporation. She couldn't believe he would resort to such dirty tricks.

Freya thought for a moment. Maybe he had suffered an internal injury.

But why go to the hospital? However, she was a doctor herself. She could check his condition.

"Are you feeling unwell? If you don't mind, I can examine your health." Freya didn't want to go to the hospital again and get caught up in a scandal with the paparazzi. It would be a nightmare to explain.

Lance's eyes darkened, as unfathomable as ink.

Under the intense gaze, Freya felt uneasy and hurriedly explained, "Please don't misunderstand. I'm a doctor. I can help you."

Lance wasn't planning to go to the hospital because of the accident. He had poor health due to being locked in a dungeon for a long time as a child, which led to cold air invading his body and frequent joint pains.

Yesterday's strong wind worsened his joint pain, so he's going to the hospital.

Unexpectedly, Freya's car crashed into him.

"You don't believe me? Let me take your pulse and see what's wrong with you," Freya said helplessly, seeing his skeptical expression.

Dr. Lexi had always been low-key. No one knew her face since she always wore a mask before treating patients.

It was reasonable for Lance to distrust her.

Not wasting any time, Freya acted when she saw he was still. She quickly grabbed his wrist to check his pulse.

She just wanted to get rid of this man and leave.

Ivan tried to stop her, but Lance waved him off.

Although he was usually wary of ladies, he didn't mind the girl in front of him.

Freya's brows furrowed as she carefully examined his pulse. "Your energy and blood deplete. You also have a frigid constitution. Do you frequently have joint pain when it's windy or rainy?"

Her words stunned not only Ivan but also Lance.

The doctors would order X-rays to examine his health back then, but the girl standing before them could tell his illness only by taking his pulse.

"Are you a traditional doctor?"

"Yes." Freya nodded, then added, "You've had this problem for a few years. This kind of problem is difficult to cure completely. Taking medicine only treats the symptoms, not the root cause, but acupuncture can slowly relieve it."

When Freya finished speaking, she automatically released his hand. "I suggest you pay attention to keeping warm. Because this condition is sensitive to cold, it's crucial to avoid it. Plus, bathing your feet in ginger water might help fight cold."

Lance suddenly felt a little curious about this girl. His eyes fell on her delicate little face.

This girl had a classic oval face that was always glowing, even without makeup. Her eyes sparkled with vitality, enhancing her vibrant and natural beauty.

Of all the women Lance had met, most of those interested in him wore heavy makeup and strong perfume.

Yet, this girl standing close to him emitted only a faint fragrance from her hair and the subtle scent of laundry detergent from her clothes.

It was pretty comforting.

"Since you are a traditional doctor, you should know acupuncture, right?"

Freya's eyes flickered down as she lost herself in thought. When she heard a voice from above, she cautiously lifted her head to gaze at the man's face.

He was tall, with a build similar to Bradley's. She had to tilt her head back to look at either of them.

"Yes, I do."

She didn't deny it.

"Help me cure my illness. You can name your price for it." Lance's indifferent voice rang out.

Freya was shocked.

Ivan was also surprised.

His boss hated being close to women, yet he had been talking to a strange girl face-to-face for ten minutes.

Even more surprising was that they were standing so close together and he didn't seem to mind. He even asked Freya to cure his illness.

It was worth noting that all of Lance's doctors were men.

Several female doctors used to work for him, but Lance fired them all.

"Sorry, I'm not practicing anymore. Mr. Fenton, please find someone else. I have to go now and won't charge you for the consultation. Of course, I'll take responsibility for the traffic accident."

After speaking, she turned to leave.

"Wait." Lance strode after her and grabbed her hand.

Now, Ivan was even more dumbfounded.

It was the first time Mr. Fenton held a girl's hand without showing any disgust or discomfort.

"Mr. Fenton, is there anything else?" Freya looked down at his large hand and uncomfortably pulled her small hand away.

"I can offer you a high consultation fee. Are you sure you want to miss out on such a big deal?"

"I haven't taken consultations for a long time. Even if you offer me a higher fee, I won't take your case."

She didn't want to get too involved with a dangerous man like Lance, especially now that she had retired.

After saying that, Freya handed him a business card. "This is my contact information. I will also have the insurance company contact you. This accident was all my fault. I'm so sorry for the trouble I've caused you!"

It was clear that she was the one at fault here. That's why she should apologize.

Lance glanced down at the business card. His eyes widened in surprise.

Freya Lawson.

The legendary daughter of the Lawson family. She recently made headlines by exposing her stepmother's crimes and forcing her father to step down from the Lawson Corporation with solid tactics.

Most importantly, she was also Bradley's woman!
