Bradley's gaze was gentle. As she looked at herself in his eyes, it felt as if everything around her had turned colorless. In his world, the only existence that mattered was the woman named Freya.
She understood his intentions, but she also could not ignore the fact that he was a responsible man with duties.
"What about Juliet? How do you plan to do with her?"
Bradley pursed his lips. His narrow and cold black eyes flickered with a mysterious glint.
"I will send her away, give her a better life, and not let her become an obstacle between us."
He looked deep into her eyes with an inexplicably serious look on his face.
Little did they know, a petite figure was hiding in the shadows behind them and listening in on their conversation.
Juliet tightly clenched her fists. Hatred filled her eyes as they flashed with a sinister killing intent.
"Brady, I have done so much for you, yet you still want to push me away. Since that's the case, there's no need for me to show mercy to you anymore."
She still held the poison needle in the palm of her hand. She would wait for the next opportunity to plunge it all into his brain.
This way, he would be completely under her control. He would never be able to escape from the palm of her hand for the rest of his life.
Juliet took out her phone and dialed Bradley's number.
The phone rang.
The man just glanced at it and then ruthlessly hung up.
Juliet was furious. Then, she called Harry.
"Miss Jordan, where are you?" Harry asked.
A cold light flashed in Juliet's eyes, and she pretended to be scared as she said, "Someone wants to hurt me. Save me..."
Harry panicked and immediately called Bradley.
The tense atmosphere was once again interrupted by Bradley's phone.
Bradley was seething with an icy rage as he spoke with a deep voice that sounded as though it had been tempered with ice. "What's the matter?"
"Sir, it's Miss Jordan. It seems like something has happened to her."
"I told you to keep an eye on her. You don't even know when she goes missing? Find her. Send someone to look for her immediately!"
Freya looked at the man's anxious eyes with a chill in the depths of her eyes.
This was a man whose sense of responsibility exceeded everything else. Even if Juliet was sent away, he would still be bound by the gratitude he felt for being saved.
She could not selfishly ask him to abandon Juliet, as it would be immoral.
After he hung up, Freya had a faint smile on her lips as she spoke before he could.
"Go. She's waiting for you."
Although it was just a simple sentence, Bradley could sense a slight sense of alienation in her words. A feeling of uncertainty creeped into his heart. He strode forward, once again tightly embracing her.
"Freya, do you still not believe me?"
Freya pursed her lips and said, "I trust that your heart belongs to me, but I do not believe that Juliet would easily leave you."
Bradley might be willing to abandon everything for her.
However, Juliet was different. She could effortlessly use the favor of having saved his life to gain Bradley's affection and protection.
Juliet appeared weak on the surface, but she was an extreme manipulator who would effortlessly lead people into her traps and turn them into her puppets.
Even before the video was restored, Freya could already guess what that deleted scene would show.
At that moment, her phone rang.
She received a text message and a call.
The message was from Michael, asking when she would arrive.
The call was from Ella, probably regarding the video.
She gently pushed Bradley aside, walked to the side to answer her phone. Ella immediately started talking.
"Freya, I've done my best. Half of the video was recovered. The other half has been destroyed by the virus and cannot be recovered. I've sent the video to your phone. Check to make sure you received it."
"Okay. I'll look at it later."
As Bradley was beside her, Freya did not dare to open the video in front of him. Thus, she just hung up.
"Who called?" Bradley's eyes were full of suspicion.
In his mind, scenes of her and Lance together filled his thoughts. His eyes turned a deep red as veins bulged on his forehead.
Freya sensed that something was off with him. Although Bradley had been jealous before, he had never been this furious. What was happening to him now?
He was like a wild beast trapped in a cage, ready to burst out and shred anyone in his path when the cage door opens.
He gripped her wrist tightly with a force so strong that it felt like he could crush her bones.
Freya winced with pain, gasping as she said, "It hurts."
Bradley realized his lack of control and slightly eased his grip. When he saw the bruises on her wrist, his eyes turned red once more with guilt.
"I'm sorry, Freya. I..."
However, the feeling was instantly overwhelmed by a fierce rush of madness, and he crazily grabbed her as he continued in a hoarse voice.
"What is your relationship with Lance? Are you unwilling to forgive me because of Lance?"
His embrace nearly suffocated her, and upon hearing his words, she angrily punched him.
"I think we should both calm down first and meet when things have settled."
Bradley's eyes were bloodshot. "Are you going to find Lance?"
"No." The man's behavior was too weird. She needed to contact Xavier and further understand Bradley's condition.
His entire being exuded an animalistic aura, and his emotions were rapidly changing in a way that was far from normal.
"I'm going to the bathroom. I'll find you in a while."
"Don't try to deceive me. You want to leave again." Bradley held her hand tightly as he narrowed his eyes.
"If you don't believe me, come with me."
In the end, Bradley followed her to the restroom.
Freya seized the chance to call Xavier.
"Doctor Jackson, has Bradley's blood report come out yet?"
"Not yet. It may take another two days."
"He had another episode just now. I'm afraid he might have an accident at the celebration. It's best if you come over."
"Where are you? I'm also at the celebration."
Xavier was worried that Bradley might have another manic episode, so he also attended the celebration.
He had been looking for Bradley since his arrival, but he could not see a single hint of Bradley.
Freya softly sighed in exasperation. "He's here by the restrooms. Please come and take him away."
If she did not shake Bradley off her tail, she could not meet up with Michael.
Soon, Xavier rushed over in a hurry and found Bradley standing at the door of the women's restroom, staring inside. It gave him a whole new perspective on the world.
The dignified Mr. Austin was actually guarding the door of the women's restroom and peeking inside. If the paparazzi caught wind of this, it would be all over the tabloids.
"B-Boss, this is the women's restroom. Did you take a wrong turn?"
The blood red light in Bradley's eyes dissipated, and at that moment he resumed his usual cold composure. His face was calm and blank, making it impossible for people to see what he was thinking.
"Freya is inside. I'm afraid she'll run away, so I'm guarding the door."
He had finally caught her. How could he easily let her go?
He knew her all too well. As soon as he left, she would slip away.
As she carried her marriage certificate and divorce agreement with her, it was easy for him to guess that she was determined to end the relationship with him.
At that thought, a loud bang came from within. Bradley did not even hesitate or think before he strode into the restroom.
Xavier was dumbfounded.
Bradley actually... barged into the women's restroom…
