Chapter 246 Gathering of Villains

The two of them headed to the lounge to prepare for the signing ceremony.

Meanwhile, in the main living room…

Lola lounged on the sofa, idly sipping her drink.

A slender figure approached and took a seat beside her.

"Why are you just sitting here instead of going after Lance Fenton?"

"He's currently with Bradley, so there's no opportunity to act," Lola responded.

Diana glanced around and smirked. "My dad said if you can't handle Lance, don't bother coming back to him."

"Don't worry, I'll find a chance."

Lola clenched her fist as she glared at Diana with resentment.

All these people were using her, but for the sake of money, she had to let them manipulate her.

Lance was young, wealthy, and influential, standing at the top of society. Tonight, she would definitely bring him down.

Once she had Lance and became Mrs. Fenton, she would crush all these faces beneath her feet.

"You don't have much time left. My dad is waiting for your good news," Diana remarked.

"Don't forget, Diana, you're only here to help me for money. If things go wrong, your fate won't be any better than mine," Lola warned.

She had recently learned that Diana Smith was Walter Keating's stepdaughter, but Walter didn't value her at all. In the end, she was just being used as a pawn.

They were both in the same boat. If the boat sank, neither of them would benefit.

"Are you mistaken, Lola? Walter Keating is my dad. How dare he do anything to me?" Diana retorted arrogantly.

"Walter said everything you have, you owe to him. He's tired of you and your mother. If you can't secure this contract, he'll kick both of you out of the house."

Lola was just babbling nonsense, but since Walter wasn't here anyway, she felt comfortable indulging in her quick tongue.

"Lola, you're just a mistress my dad keeps. Don't think you can take over my position as his wife," Diana glared angrily. She had gained her status and position all thanks to Walter.

She hadn't enjoyed enough wealth and status yet; she wouldn't let anyone take it away from her.

"I'm more beautiful and younger than your mother. Who do you think Walter will choose in the end?" Lola raised her head proudly, provoking Diana.

Diana clenched her fists.

Having spent time with Lola before, she knew her seductive methods well.

Walter was a lecherous man who had been fooling around with her mother for years. But for the sake of money, she had endured humiliation and hardship.

Now that Walter was involved with Lola, if Lola whispered in his ear, Walter might actually abandon them.

No, she didn't want to go back to those days.

All of this belonged to her, and she wouldn't let anyone take it away.

"What do you want me to do?" Diana asked.

Lola sipped her wine, scanning the room with a flirtatious smile.

"When Lance comes out later, find an opportunity to give him that thing. I'll be waiting in the room upstairs. Once I have a relationship with Lance, won't the contract be easy to obtain?"

"With your limited abilities, trying to take down Lance is like trying to move mountains."

Suddenly, a woman's voice interrupted them.

Both of them were startled.

When they saw the unfamiliar face before them, they breathed a sigh of relief.

"Who are you?" Diana asked irritably.

"Someone in the same boat as you two."

Juliet raised an eyebrow, took a glass of juice from the waiter, and elegantly sat down beside them.

Lola narrowed her eyes, recognizing the woman who seemed to have arrived with Bradley.

"Are you here to assist us?" Lola asked straightforwardly.

"That's correct."

"Why?"

"Because I despise Freya. I want to witness her reputation being destroyed, becoming the biggest joke of tonight's celebration."

Lola and Diana exchanged glances.

So, she was Freya's adversary.

Indeed, they were on the same side.

"We can collaborate with you. What's your strategy?"

"It's simple. Since you intend to drug Lance, I propose making Freya his leading lady. Then, I'll invite Bradley to catch them in the act. It will be quite a spectacle."

The three women sat together scheming, then went their separate ways to execute their plan.

Of course, Juliet was merely offering guidance; she didn't involve herself in the chaos.

Bradley had already begun to distance himself from her. She wouldn't foolishly jeopardize his trust.

With pawns readily available, why not exploit them to the fullest?

In the lounge, Bradley and Lance finalized the contract.

However, for the contract to take effect, the Austin Group seal was necessary. And for this final task, Poppy had to appear in person.

Watching her own man with a calculating expression, Freya felt so enraged that she wanted to kick him to death.

He truly knew how to get himself into trouble.

She stormed out of the lounge angrily, but collided with a solid figure head-on, stumbling backward a few steps.

A sleazy voice came from beside her, "Are you okay, beauty?"

Freya narrowed her eyes.

At that moment, a chubby hand reached out to her, but she forcefully flung it away.

She looked up, only to see a lecherous old face, immediately feeling nauseated.

Who was this? It seemed to be Lola's sugar daddy, Walter Keating.

Freya attempted to sidestep him and leave, but Walter persisted in following her.

"Let me take you to the hospital."

"No need," Freya responded coldly.

Walter had been indulging himself in the upstairs room all along. Seeing such a beautiful woman immediately aroused his desire, almost making him drool on the spot.

How could he let go of such a tempting prey?

Seeing Freya being bothered by Walter, both Lola and Diana suddenly had an idea.

Diana approached with a swaying waist and pretended to ask,

"Dad, who is this?"

"Diana, you've come just in time. I accidentally bumped into her. Help Daddy check if she's injured. If she is, we can't delay; we must take her to the hospital for a check-up,"

Walter kept signaling to Diana. He was interested in this woman, and he wanted her to know it.

Diana understood Walter's nature well; whenever there was an opportunity, he enjoyed pursuing women. Previously, she had turned a blind eye, as long as he gave her money.

But now that the target was Freya, she couldn't ignore it.

"Oh, I recognize her now. Isn't she Miss Freya Lawson from the Lawson family?

Walter was taken aback. Bradley Austin's wife?

No wonder she was so beautiful.

"Oh, since she's Mr. Austin's wife, we can't afford to be careless."

"Exactly, if Mr. Austin blames us, Keating family can't bear the consequences."

The father and daughter harmonized, appearing to have her best interests at heart.

Freya couldn't be bothered and turned to leave.

Just then, Lola approached, blocking her path directly.

"Oh, isn't this my sister Freya? Are you hurt? Oh dear, why so careless?"

Diana quickly interjected, "My dad accidentally bumped into her. Lola, persuade your sister to go to the hospital for a check-up."

Many people rushed over, watching the commotion from afar.

Simultaneously, the door of the lounge opened, and Bradley and Lance walked out one after another.
