Freya accused, "Are you trying to lock me up?"
"If it means I can keep you away from other guys, I'm cool with keeping you locked up forever."
"You're not very pleasant in this mood, Honey. We need some time alone to make our relationship better."
Freya playfully squeezed his cute face, "Come on, be a good boy, go to work, and we'll have a romantic dinner tonight."
Bradley remained unmoved.
Being poisoned had completely changed him.
He still looked good, but there was a vibe of hostility all over him.
Especially when he got all controlling, you could see red streaks in his eyes.
Freya decided, "After the dinner, you can have your way with me."
The man's gaze got hazy in an instant.
He glanced at her neckline, his throat tightening.
"Are you serious?"
"Yes, very serious."
Bradley took a second to think before agreeing.
He got changed and left without fuss.
Once he was out, Freya was so relief and immediately contacted Sean.
"Doc, you have to get that antidote as soon as possible. He's totally focused on me, doesn't even bother going to work."
She was just freaking out because he forgot all about the national revival plan on his own body."
"Don't worry, he's just head over heels for you. And with all your insecurities, it messes with his head, making him all clingy, just wanting to keep you close."
"What should I do now?"
When he went crazy, she could handle him with a silver needle.
But when he was all clingy and paranoid, she couldn't always win him over with her charm.
"He is on two extremes now. One minute he's a wild beast, the next he's a total softie. It's up to you which side you wanna deal with."
"I don't want either, you gotta have a plan. You're a toxicology whiz, even if you can't cure him immediately, you can control it."
"Yeah, there's a way, but like you said, my methods are unconventional. I fight poison with poison. Are you sure you're down for this?
Freya bit her lip, asking, "Can you at least tell me what you're thinking?"
"It's simple. Transfer his feelings to someone else, and you're off the hook."
A sarcastic voice crackled over the line. Freya was stunned.
Transfer his feelings?
So, Bradley would go crazy over someone else and played prince charming for them?
No way, that was not what she wanted.
Even though she didn't want to be under his thumb, she couldn't just pawn him off on someone else.
"Any other options?"
"Yes, turn him into someone like me."
Freya was even more baffled, shaking her head. "That sounds even worse. What if it all goes wrong? What about my happiness?"
"Listen, if nothing else works, you gotta deal with him yourself."
"Please don't. There has to be another way."
She really didn't want to be stuck in that mess.
"There's just no other way. You have to wait for my antidote, but you gave me too little poison. I can't say for sure if that's enough to develop the cure."
Freya squinted. "If I get you more poison, can you do it?"
"Yes."
"Okay, I'll sort something out."
Freya decided to hit up the medical clinic.
She and Ella talked about strategies and stocked up on silver needles, just in case.
If Bradley got too out of line, she would just jab him with a needle and knock him out.
She drove to Culinary Crown Court.
Straight to the lounge, Freya flopped on the couch.
"Ella, give me a massage, I'm so tired."
Ella raised an eyebrow at Freya's drained expression. "Working day and night, wearing yourself out?"
"You, you, you're all talking dirty. Did Sean tell you something?"
Freya was rambling and her ears were burning.
Sean alone was enough to embarrass her, but then Ella showed up and said this one thing. She felt like she couldn't even have a proper chat.
"Well, I've said what should be said and what shouldn't," Ella said, all serious.
Freya's head hurt so bad. How was she going to face people after this?
"Speaking of Bradley's condition, what's your game plan?"
"What else can I do? If he goes crazy again, I gotta be ready with more needles," Freya replied.
"He's your husband, can you really go through with that?"
Freya rubbed her temples. "At this point, I got no other choice. Sean needs time with his antidote, and if Bradley loses it in the meantime, it's too risky."
Ella helped her by massaging her shoulder. She knew her stuff with traditional massage, so Freya just kicked back on the couch, feeling real good.
"I think you should go see Juliet. She's the one who injected him the poison, maybe she has a way."
"Bradley had dumped her on some island. Tracking her down won't be easy," Freya said, considering.
Freya toyed with the idea of finding Juliet.
Yet, she wasn't sure that woman would have the answers.
After all, Juliet claimed the poison came from the Logans.
"Getting to her is simple. Madeline is dating Patrick. Get her to sort it out," Ella suggested.
"Oh, right. I almost forgot."
Freya said while contacting Madeline, asking her to persuade Patrick.
Twenty minutes later, Madeline delivered the good news, saying they could get to the deserted island.
Without hesitation, they hopped on a helicopter.
Freya was taken aback when she saw Juliet. Only a day had passed, but it seemed like a lifetime.
The once fragile and pitiful woman now seemed dark and menacing.
When she saw Freya, malice filled her eyes. "Why are you here? To mock me?"
"Give me the antidote," Freya cut to the chase.
She didn't feel like wasting time.
Juliet burst into laughter. "The antidote? There's no cure for this poison. Enjoy Bradley's madness and suffering. You can't get what I can't get."
Before she could finish, Freya jabbed a needle into her neck.
Juliet started itching all over, scratching like crazy.
Freya raised an eyebrow, "Since there's no cure, enjoy the itchiness."
She knew Juliet wouldn't talk, so she came prepared with the needles.
Juliet was so annoying. Bradley locked her up here, and she was being mentally tormented.
But who's gonna take on Bradley's pain?
Juliet showed no gratitude, so Freya didn't have to play nice.
She would make her feel every ounce of Bradley's torment. Let her taste the brink of death.
"What's this? Why is it so itchy?"
"I coated the needle with something that will make you itch like crazy and sting at the same time. Pretty sweet, huh?" Freya grinned triumphantly.
"You…"
Juliet, fuming, charged at her.
Hiss…
Freya jabbed her again, and made an unbearable itch spread all over her body, making her jump in discomfort
