Chapter 285 Leaving Cloudstone

"Nothing specific, just feel like taking a break."

She said casually.

Lance's dark eyes narrowed.

He hadn't expected that during his first encounter with Poppy, she would propose splitting up.

The woman in front of him, with her delicate appearance and clear eyes, was like a beautiful and elegant, was both beautiful and aloof.

He stared deeply at her, feeling oddly familiar.

"If you need a break, I can give you a long vacation, but I won't agree to parting ways. Honestly, Personally, I'm not very familiar with the software industry. If you choose to leave Cloudstone, I'm afraid I won't find such an outstanding partner like you again. As long as you stay, I will meet any of your conditions."

When it comes to treating talents, Lance has always been generous.

Although they had never met, Poppy was his partner for several years. She was the most outstanding in the hacker world.

If Cloudstone lost Poppy, it would only become an empty shell without any meaning.

Freya felt confused after hearing this. "I'm sorry, but I have other, more important things to do. I simply don't have the energy to help you manage Cloudstone. But I will help you negotiate with Austin Group about the cooperation."

Cloudstone was also part of her growth.

She had put some effort into it, so she was somewhat reluctant to leave Cloudstone.

However, Bradley was more important for her.

She would bring Austin Group, the money tree, to Cloudstone. With Austin’s support, Cloudstone Corporation's future would be smoother.

"Is there really no room for negotiation?"

Lance's disappointment was evident.

Freya shook her head. "This is a decision I've thought about for a long time."

After saying that, she picked up the documents and turned to leave.

"Wait." Lance, in desperation, grabbed her wrist.

Freya lowered her gaze, her cold eyes falling on his long, clean hand.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to be abrupt." Realizing his abruptness, Lance let go in time.

"I won't change my mind. As for the signed contract, I will personally deliver it back to Cloudstone. Let's... part amicably!"

She left without turning back.

Outside of the café.

Freya headed straight to Austin Group.

She saw Sharon Turner entering the Austin Group building.

What was this woman doing at Austin Group?

A woman's sixth sense was accurate. She felt that something was not right when Sharon appeared.

Freya followed.

She happened to see Sharon arguing with the receptionist.

She came closer and could clearly hear the conversation between the two.

"Take a closer look. I am the daughter of Turner Family. I want to see your CEO, Mr. Austin."

Oh…

Sharon came to see Bradley?

This man really had an endless stream of admirers. People were coming to him wherever he went.

"Sorry, Miss Turner, our boss is very busy. Without an appointment, you can't see him."

"Then you arrange it for me now. I have something very important to discuss with him face-to-face."

The receptionist was helpless, so she called Harry and explained the situation.

The result was Harry’s direct response of not seeing her.

Sharon was so angry that she almost exploded.

Freya watched all this with a cold eye.

She walked up to the receptionist and said, "Hello, I'm Poppy. Could you please arrange an appointment with Mr. Austin? I'm here to deliver a contract."

Upon hearing the name 'Poppy', the receptionist didn't hesitate and immediately allowed her to go upstairs.

Sharon was unhappy and threw a tantrum, "What's going on? Why did you let her go up without an appointment?"

"Miss Turner, this person is requested by our CEO to meet, it's different from you."

The receptionist's patience was wearing thin, her tone was less friendly.

Sharon watched helplessly as Freya walked towards the elevator, unable to do much about it, she ran over to prepare for a confrontation.

"Miss Turner, you can't go up."

The receptionist was anxious.

Sharon ignored her and, when the elevator opened, she barged right in.

Still holding her head high, she pushed Freya aside and got into the elevator first.

Feeling inexplicably pushed, Freya's mood soured instantly. She lifted her foot and pretended to accidentally step on Sharon's foot.

"Ah, what are you doing?"

A piercing scream reached her ears, making her frown involuntarily.

Looking up, she saw a heavily made-up woman glaring at her with an aggressive demeanor.

"If I'm not mistaken, you're... Miss Turner, the fiancée of Mr. Fenton, right?"

"Humph, you've got good eyes!"

Sharon said sternly, though deep inside she lacked confidence.

At the celebration, she claimed to be Lance's fiancée, which upset him.

The next day, Lance personally visited her family to clarify their relationship.

Because of this incident, she became the subject of ridicule in high society.

Moreover, because of her actions at the celebration, Bradley also suppressed the Turner family.

Her father sent her here today to apologize to Bradley in person, or else he would freeze all her bank cards.

She had no choice but to come here with a brave face.

But she didn't expect to be stopped at the reception of the Austin Group.

"Since Mr. Fenton is nearby, should I inform him?" Freya raised an eyebrow and smiled lightly, standing beside her, almost suffocated by the smell of her perfume.

"Do you know Lance Fenton? Who are you?"

"Miss Turner seems to have a problem with her ears. I just said my name." Crossing her arms, she looked at Sharon as if she were watching a clown, a hint of sarcasm in her smile.

"You..." Sharon was furious, about to scold her.

Freya sneered disdainfully, directly grabbing her wrist and forcefully pulling it away.

"I'm a guest of Mr. Austin. If you injure me, I'm afraid you won't be able to leave the Austin Group today."

Just as she finished speaking, the elevator 'dinged' open.

The receptionist had already notified Harry that Poppy had arrived.

Harry was waiting at the elevator entrance to personally greet her. "Miss Poppy, the CEO has been waiting for you for a while."

With a graceful smile, Freya made her way to the CEO's office.

Despite her desire to follow, Sharon was halted by Harry. "Miss Turner, the CEO did not request to see you."

"Mr. Lewis, could you please help me persuade him? I really need to discuss something with Mr. Austin."

Sharon looked at him pitifully, throwing in a flirtatious glance.

Harry shivered.

This woman was quite flirtatious.

He remained unmoved and issued an order to have her escorted out. "Miss Turner, please leave. The CEO will not see you."

With that, Harry turned and left.

He had important matters to attend to and no time to waste with her.

Sharon stomped her foot in frustration. She had finally managed to get in; how could she leave so easily?

If Bradley wouldn't see her, she would find a way to get close to him.

In the CEO's office.

Freya knocked on the door.

A low, magnetic voice came from inside, "Come in."

Freya checked her appearance one last time to make sure everything was in order before entering.

Bradley was sitting at his desk, his eyes deep and indifferent as he said, "Poppy."
