Chapter 305 Sean Is in Trouble.

"The one downstairs?"

"Yes, that's her."

Bradley approached the window and looked down on the scene below.

A woman who looked to be around 20 was holding a camera and taking photos of everything.

Her lower leg was wrapped in bandages, but she skillfully avoided the traps in the courtyard.

Indeed, something was not right.

"Shadow."

"I'm here, sir."

A dark figure appeared behind Bradley and Freya.

Freya was startled. Shadow came and went without a trace. He was just frighteningly good.

"Do you know this woman?"

Bradley indicated for him to look downstairs.

Ying shook his head. "No, I don't."

"Has there been any suspicious people in the woods these past few days?"

"Yes, there are three in total. Two women and one man, but they are obviously here for a walk through the forest."

Shadow had been guarding the perimeter since they arrived.

Yesterday, three people suddenly appeared in the woods. He had been following them for a while, but this girl was not among those three.

"After she leaves, follow her."

Yvette sensed the gazes above directed toward her, and she lowered her eyes to hide a glint flashing through her eyes.

However, she quickly resumed her demure act and waved to the people upstairs.

"Miss, thank you for saving me. I'm leaving now."

She glanced at the man standing next to Freya as she smiled with her red lips.

Freya nodded in response.

Yvette did not stay long. She packed up her things and soon left the cabin.

Shadow immediately followed her.

However, Yvette perceptively noticed him and deliberately led Shadow in circles in the woods.

After making sure she had lost him, she hurriedly ran toward the depths of the woods.

As Freya wanted to eat roast chicken, Sean and Xavier decided to have a barbecue feast for dinner. Both carried hunting rifles as they entered the mountain

Although Xavier was a doctor, his marksmanship was top-notch.

After a while, he caught two wild chickens.

"I want to eat rabbit. Stop catching chickens all the time," Sean complained.

"Alright. I'll hunt a rabbit for you."

With a gun in hand, Xavier walked deeper into the woods.

The woods were very large and filled with towering trees. Sean had followed Hayden into the woods a few times but still did not dare to run around on his own.

He only knew how to heal and could not fight at all.

The woods were full of birds and beasts. If he encountered a fierce beast, he would not be able to escape.

He stayed in place and waited.

Suddenly, footsteps could be heard not far ahead.

As he thought it was Xavier coming back, Sean was about to speak up when he saw a man carrying a woman heading in his direction.

He quickly hid behind the bushes.

At that moment, a woman walked out of the woods and met the man near the bushes.

"I just went to the cabin to investigate. Leonard is here. His mental state seems fine, probably because Hayden has kept his illness under control," the woman said.

"Did you run into Hayden?" the man asked.

"Yes, but it seems he has some mental issues. He mistook a young girl for his sister and even claimed he was 38 years old. It's really ridiculous."

"I need to know about his medical skills. Are they still the same as before?"

"Don't worry. His medical skills are as good as ever. He handles injuries with ease. Since Leonard was able to get him to develop the antidote, Leonard must have done his research on Hayden."

"Alright, let's act quickly. We can't let Hayden cure Leonard."

Upon hearing that, Sean was stunned.

Their target is Leonard?

Who is Leonard?

Wasn't the person seeking a cure from Hayden Bradley?

Sean realized the danger of the situation and quietly tried to leave.

However, just as he turned around, he ran into something hard. Soon, a gun muzzle was pointed at his forehead.

Yvette looked at him with cold eyes and a malicious smile on her lips. "Where do you think you're going?"

...

Xavier caught a rabbit and returned, but Sean was nowhere to be found.

Thinking Sean had gone back by himself, Xavier retraced his steps.

"Sean, I caught the rabbit. Come clean it."

However, there was no response for a long time.

He searched the entire place but could not see a trace of Sean anywhere.

With a sense of foreboding, he hurried upstairs.

At that moment, Freya was treating Bradley with acupuncture when Xavier suddenly barged in.

"Dr. Jackson, what's wrong?"

Freya nervously asked upon seeing his flustered appearance.

"Where is Sean? Have you seen him?" Xavier asked.

"Isn't he with you?"

"I couldn't find him in the forest. I thought he came back on his own."

"Sean is a logical person. He would not leave without saying something. Could something have happened?" Freya felt a sense of unease.

Having known Sean for so many years, she understood his character and behavior quite well.

"I'm going to the woods to look around!" Xavier said to Freya. "If we come back late, please help us clean and butcher the chickens and rabbit in the yard. We'll have a barbecue when we come back."

"It's getting dark now. It's not very safe to enter the woods. Let's find him together."

"What about Mr. Bradley?"

"He's asleep and won't wake up for a while. Let's hurry."

"Okay, let's go."

Xavier didn't dare to stay longer, he was worried that every step later in the night would bring more danger to Sean.

The two soon entered the woods.

"The woods are too big. Let's split up and search. We'll meet back here later. If anything unexpected happens, send a signal for help."

Xavier handed a signal flare to Freya.

"Okay."

Xavier quickly left.

Freya stood in place, carefully recalling what Xavier had said.

They were hunting wild rabbits in this area, and Sean was the kind of person who should have stayed put.

However, he disappeared for no reason.

She could not help but remember what Shadow had said. Three people had come to the forest in the past two days. Although they claimed to be exploring, she always felt something was off.

She followed the path and suddenly found a string of rosary beads in the bushes.

It belonged to Sean.

Freya picked up the rosary and saw bloodstains in the nearby bushes.

She was almost certain that Sean was really in trouble.

With fear in her heart, she followed the bloodstains and arrived at a cave where the bloodstains disappeared.

She squinted and took out a gun and a flashlight from her waist before pushing aside the thorny bushes at the cave entrance and carefully walked in.

Inside the cave, there were two people lying on the ground.

One was Sean, and the other was a woman she did not know.

Freya immediately walked toward the two.

She checked their breathing and pulses. They are still alive.

"Sean, wake up!" She tapped Sean's face.

He didn't move though, and his face was frighteningly pale.

Freya quickly left the cave and fired the signal flare.

During the wait, she continuously administered first aid to the two, but the effects were minimal.

She checked Sean's pulse. A surge of energy was surging recklessly in his body, which was somewhat similar to Bradley's condition.

She quickly checked Sean's arms and neck. Sure enough, she found a small needle hole in his neck.

The woman beside him was the same with a needle hole on the back of her neck.

Damn it, they have been injected with something!
