Chapter 310 I Just Need To Know That Your Name Is Freya

"Don't ask too many questions. Just do as I say."

Freya did not say anything. These were just her suspicions, after all. Without solid evidence, she would only alert the enemy without solid evidence.

"Okay then."

Sean understood her tendency to do things in an unconventional manner.

Over the years every time she asked for help, it was always surrounded in mystery. He had gotten used to it.

She did not stay in the room for long before heading to the courtyard. With Shirley's and Jinny's help, she started to organize the medicinal herbs.

Shirley was very talkative. Ever since she appeared, she never stopped chatting.

"Freya, you're really talented. You know so many herbs. You even know acupuncture, and most importantly, your husband is really handsome."

Freya raised her head to meet a pair of deep black eyes.

At that moment, Bradley was standing next to the window on the second floor, looking down at her from his high vantage point.

The sunlight shone down on him, highlighting the contours of his face. His usual black shirt gave off a cold and domineering vibe that made him look like one of those reserved and handsome idols.

He was simply enchanting.

Freya blinked up at him, and the man's lingering gaze on her signaled for her to head up to him.

"I need to head upstairs for a bit. Help me dry these out once you're done."

With that said, she dashed up the stairs.

As soon as she entered the room, she ran into a warm embrace.

"When did you come back?"

Freya hugged him, playfully poking his chest with her finger.

"While you were talking to those two downstairs."

The man rubbed his nose against hers before moving down and kissing her lips.

"They have names, Shirley and Jinny."

She was somewhat exasperated. Even after living under the same roof with the other people for several days, he still could not remember their names.

"I only need to know that you are called Freya. That's enough."

The combination of his deep and sexy voice, and the warm breath brushing across her cheeks caused her heart to start beating erratically.

His sweet words caught her off guard, leaving her mind blank as she looked at him, lost in a daze.

Bradley smiled and deepened the kiss, holding her face in his hands.

It became harder to breathe, causing her breaths to come out in uneven gasps.

Reluctantly, he let her go.

"Honey," she softly murmured with a voice that sounded very watery. "Go lie down. It's time for your acupuncture therapy."

She left the man's embrace and prepared the needle kit.

Hayden said that acupuncture therapy should be done twice a day without missing a single session while his medicine should also be taken to regulate the frequency of outbreak since that meant the outbreak would be suppressed externally and internally.

As for the antidote, they were already in the process of developing it. They just did not know when it would be developed.

Bradley lay down, and Freya began to prick him with her needles.

"By the way, have they found any clues about those people?"

In the past few days, Gabriel had sent people to thoroughly search the forest, but apart from finding Mark's body, there seemed to be no other progress.

"Not yet," he replied.

"As vast as this forest is, there can't be no trace at all. Could those people have already left?"

Bradley shook his head. "It's unlikely. Their target is me, and they won’t stop until they achieve their goal."

"I believe that once we find the woman bitten by a snake, everything will become clear."

Freya squinted her eyes as the silver needle in her hand swiftly pierced the acupoint.

She had a vague sense that the woman would soon appear.

Also, she would be making a move on them in the next few days.

The enemy was lurking in the shadows, ready to catch them off guard at any moment.

"Honey, you need to be careful. Don't easily trust anyone around you."

"Even you?"

The man smiled with his eyes closed.

"It's best to be cautious of me too. I'm giving you medicine and acupuncture every day. If I wanted to kill you, you would have died hundreds of times long ago."

"No, anyone could want to harm me, except you."

Freya contentedly smiled upon hearing that.

After the final acupoint was pricked, he quickly fell into a deep sleep.

"Sleep well. I'll go prepare the medicinal herbs for your bath."

Freya tidied up her needle kit and quietly left.

Just as she left, a slender figure silently crept in, holding a syringe and approaching step by step.

The herbs in the courtyard were dried and ready, and the sound of chopping vegetables came from the kitchen.

Freya grabbed the herbs and was about to go to the kitchen to heat some water.

At that moment, Sean ran out from the research room.

"Freya, here are the results of the soil component extraction."

"Thank you."

Freya looked at the results and quickly scanned through them with a deep furrow in her brow.

She did not say anything and instead frantically scrambled up the stairs.

When she pushed open the door, she saw Bradley still sound asleep.

She hurried over and carefully checked his whole body.

Fortunately, apart from the acupunctured areas, there were no other extra needle marks.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

Little did she know, a dark figure flashed by in the shadows with a hint of unwillingness in its eyes.

In the evening.

Not long after a group of people had finished their meal, they suddenly heard a shrill and mournful cry.

The mournful wail sent a shiver down the spine.

Freya's heart trembled. "It's Yana's voice."

Although Yana was a naughty monkey, it had been well taken care of by Hayden. Sean said that Yana was rarely sick.

However, it was now letting out miserable and heart-wrenching cries. What was going on?

The group of people quickly went to the yard to check the situation.

They found Yana lying on the ground, convulsing hard.

Freya felt that something was wrong, quickly went over to take a look. Unexpectedly, Yana suddenly jumped up from the ground, bared its teeth and pounced towards her.

"Freya, be careful."

Bradley's cold eyes narrowed, and he kicked Yana and sent her flying.

Yana rolled on the ground several times, vomiting blood.

It then stood up, looking fierce at them with eyes filled with bloodshot veins.

"Something's unusual about it."

Freya commented.

Bradley and Xavier approached and subdued Yana, then tied it up with some rope.

Yana was clearly out of control as it let out vicious screams.

"I will go check on it."

The symptoms displayed by Yana were somewhat similar to Bradley's when he lost control, which made her suspect that Yana had also been injected with the poison.

Just as she was about to approach, Bradley grabbed her hand. "Don't go near it. It is very dangerous."

"Yes, Freya, when this monkey goes crazy, it is just as terrifying as a human. Let me do it instead."

After Xavier finished speaking, he quickly walked over.

He directly grabbed the monkey's head and carefully examined its neck.

To his surprise, he found needle marks.

"It was also injected with something."

"All of its symptoms are just like when Bradley go crazy. Extract its blood for further verification."

Freya narrowed her eyes, silently clenching her fist.

Who exactly would even harm a monkey?

Just what is… her goal?

Just as she thought that, Sean and Hayden ran out.

Hayden was furious to see Yana tied up. "What is going on with you? How can you do this to Yana?"
