Chapter 319 Making Changes for Her

Since leaving the clinic until now, her heart had been pounding incessantly, and his exclusive scent lingered on the tip of her nose.

She pressed her lips together, suddenly overwhelmed not only by a sweet happiness but also by a profound sense of guilt.

Throughout their time together, it had always been him silently giving.

Initially, she had approached him with ulterior motives, but he remained silent, still offering her his arms as a protective haven.

She had always been passive, even resistant and fearful at first.

She worried that the longer she spent time with him, the deeper he would fall. Because she grew up in an unhappy family, she was prone to worrying about gains and losses.

When she tried to escape, he went to great lengths to bring her back, using various methods to coax her home.

Her heart had already surrendered to the point where leaving him was no longer an option.

"Honey, thank you."

Just as Bradley was about to get up, Freya embraced his neck directly and leaned in to kiss his cheek.

Her clear, translucent eyes resembled the brightest crystals.

"Thank you for never giving up on me, for always protecting me, and for loving me like this..."

Bradley hadn't expected her to initiate a kiss and made a sudden confession.

His cold, deep eyes were instantly filled with a rich tenderness.

He reached out to caress her hair and spoke softly.

"Silly girl, you're my wife. How could I not love you?"

He cradled her face and planted a deep kiss on her forehead.

"As long as you obediently stay by my side, my being, my heart, they all belong to you."

Freya's clear eyes blinked, and she slowly raised her head to reciprocate his affection.

Time seemed to stand still as the two held each other tightly.

Half an hour later, the car slowly pulled up at the entrance of Royal Garden Mansion.

As soon as Freya stepped out of the car, she was immediately taken aback by the scene before her.

Was this still her home, Royal Garden Mansion?

Initially, the courtyard was filled with various high-quality potted plants, lawns, and ornamental trees.

But now, it felt like stepping into a heaven on earth.

The first thing she saw was a row of peach trees with blossoms covering the ground gave the impression of walking into a peach blossom forest.

Further ahead, there was now an artificial lake.

Next to it stood a pergola covered with grapevines, casting shadows on the ground.

Freya felt like she was dreaming as she continued forward, only to be surprised by what lay ahead.

The once colorful flower garden had transformed into a vegetable patch.

Various vegetables and fruits were planted in the ground, with a pavilion built nearby.

She rubbed her eyes in disbelief. The once prestigious and opulent Royal Garden Mansion had been turned into a farm.

Since her return from the forest, she had been occupied every day.

She only returned home when it was already dark and hadn't noticed the changes in the manor at all.

But these peach trees in the front yard... She remembered leaving this morning, and they weren't there then.

"Honey, can you tell me what's going on?"

This surprise was just too much; she hadn't even had time to process it.

Bradley gently embraced her from behind. "First, tell me, do you like it?"

"I love it, I love it so much."

She had always enjoyed rural life and often felt that the design of Royal Garden Mansion was too formal.

But, she heard that this mansion was built at great expense by Bradley himself.

She hadn't expected him to change it all just for her, according to all her preferences.

"Take a look and see where adjustments are needed, I'll have it done."

He was very satisfied with her reaction.

From the initial surprise to the delight and finally to the touched expression.

Every expression of hers told him that everything he had done was right.

Even if it meant losing everything, earning his wife's smile was worth it all.

"No need for adjustments, this is perfect as it is."

Freya's eyes were teary, whether from the wind or from being moved, she couldn't tell. There was a bittersweet feeling that made her want to cry.

She had never known that this man could really change for her.

But she didn't want him to live according to her wishes.

The original Bradley was enough to make her heart flutter.

He didn't need to change into someone he wasn't just to please her.

"Keep looking forward; there will be more unexpected surprises."

Bradley held her hand and continued walking forward.

Passing by the artificial lake and through the vegetable garden, when she saw the glittering field not far ahead, she was even more shocked, covering her mouth in surprise.

It was actually a flower field.

It was filled with blue hydrangeas, shimmering with intoxicating radiance under the evening glow.

Freya broke free from the man's hand and ran forward.

The vast expanse of land, spanning over ten acres, was engulfed in a blanket of roses.

Alongside the mesmerizing blue enchantresses, there were a myriad of precious rose varieties sourced from different corners of the globe.

It resembled a sprawling sea of blossoms, offering a truly breathtaking spectacle of floral beauty.

As Freya roamed through this floral paradise, the lingering fragrance of flowers filled her senses, transporting her into a realm akin to a fairy tale.

With arms outstretched and eyes gently closed, she felt as though she were floating on air.

Approaching quietly, Bradley watched her lost in the enchanting scenery, a gentle smile gracing his lips.

"Honey, when did you arrange all of this?"

Freya inquired, her gaze dreamy and filled with wonder.

"It all began after our visit to Sean's farm, where you expressed your fondness for this lifestyle. That's when I instructed Frederick to begin the preparations. Everything was completed a few days ago, and the peach trees in the front yard were planted just this morning before you left."

"I knew it. The yard looked exactly the same when I left."

Freya remarked, lowering her head to savor the sweet fragrance of the flowers, fluttering around like a joyful butterfly collecting nectar.

After reveling in the flower sea for some time, they returned to the hall.

Not only had the yard transformed, but the entire house had undergone a remarkable change.

Previously adorned with famous paintings and displaying expensive artworks in the cabinets, now…

The walls were adorned with photos of the two of them, and the cabinets held an array of delicate trinkets.

Freya carefully admired them, noticing intricately crafted bamboo dragonflies and woven flower baskets...

Feeling overwhelmed, she felt as though she had stepped into a completely new home.

"You should rest; I'll take care of the cooking."

Freya was surprised to hear his voice.

He cooks?

"Frederick and Rosa have the afternoon off, so it's just the two of us at home. You've had a long day, and your husband wants to personally attend to you..."

"Let me handle it; you're not used to cooking."

"I'll start cooking more often now. You just focus on being Mrs. Austin."

With that, he was already tying an apron around his waist and heading into the kitchen to prepare vegetables.

Feeling truly exhausted, Freya obediently sank into the sofa, resting her chin in her hands, captivated by the sight of him in the kitchen.
