He carried her back to bed and Freya felt like the bedroom had changed up again.
Turned out, it was packed with dolls, but now it smelled like flowers.
She took a closer look and saw the bed covered in rose petals.
"Do you actually know magic?"
Tonight had been full of surprises and she was still in a daze, felt surreal.
Bradley just smiled and snaped his fingers.
The lights dimmed out of nowhere.
Right when Freya was about to speak, her eyes widened.
The room lighted up with all these colored lights, like little stars in the sky.
Words were starting to appear on the window, and when she took a closer look, they actually came together to make a sentence.
"Freya, I love you."
Freya's eyes welled up with tears as she looked at him, feeling all touched.
As a child, she imagined herself as a princess, but after her mom's death, she ended up like Cinderella.
However, after meeting Bradley, he treated her like a princess again, making her realize she was not alone.
She leaned in and gave him a soft, gentle kiss, like a feather softly brushing against them.
"Leonard, I love you too."
When he heard that, a big grin lit up his dark eyes. He tilted her chin and kissed her deeper.
"Remember when we first kissed?"
Freya's mind went blank from the kiss and she leaned softly against his shoulder.
"The first day I moved into the Royal Villa, you only gave me some meat to eat after I kissed you."
Freya couldn't forget that day, how this guy shamelessly seduced her.
The guy burst into laughter, "No, that was the second time. The first one was even earlier."
He was being chased, ended up breaking into her room.
She started crying and he kissed her to shut her up, worried about attracting attention.
One kiss and he was head over heels for her taste.
Freya's mind went blank, what could be even earlier than that?
Before she could ask, the guy silenced her with another kiss.
"Honey, can we start learning now?"
He nibbled on her ear gently, his hand cradling her head, letting her rest against him.
Freya snapped out of it and pushed him away. She was panting heavily, her face flushed.
"Honey, can I ask you something?"
She remembered her lost shadowfang jade whistle, so while the guy was still himself, she checked to see where it might be.
"Sure, go ahead," he said.
"Have you noticed anything weird lately?"
"Like what?"
He asked, kissing her.
"Like the other day, I got a musical instrument for Madeline, but I lost it."
Bradley squinted.
He suddenly remembered seeing the whistle in the CEO's office.
He always thought that Poppy's eyes looked like Freya's.
Taking advantage of the situation, he let her go and grabbed the whistle from the study.
"I found this thing a while back. Is it yours?"
Freya looked at it, recognizing it as her whistle.
However, she couldn't admit it now. Saying it was hers would reveal herself as Poppy.
She bit her lip, shaking her head. "Not mine, but it's pretty. Can I have it?"
Bradley frowned.
Poppy left this behind and he still needed to use this item to identify her.
"What's wrong, you don't want to let it go?"
"Not really, it belongs to someone else…"
"So bring her here, I really do like it."
Freya took the whistle and teased, "Alright, Honey, you said you'd give me whatever I want, right? Just a little thing, ask her, she'll definitely agree."
"Freya!" Bradley sounded a bit helpless. "This is the first hacker Poppy thing, I'm worried..."
"So it's Poppy's. That day in the office, you two almost got together."
Freya pouted, crossing her arms, and handed the whistle back. "If it belongs to your little lover, I don't want it anymore."
"Freya, I don't have little lover." Bradley frowned.
"We have kissed and done what couples should have done. That's just how it goes with lovers."
"I didn't do that with her."
"What didn't you do? You're saying you didn't hug her, didn't kiss her, and she didn't even bite your lips?"
Even though she knew she was Poppy, hearing him defend her made Freya feel weirdly jealous.
Yeah, she's just being jealous.
"I already explained. I was drugged and I couldn't control myself that day."
"Just because you couldn't control yourself? Back then, I had nothing with Lance, but you were still mad for ages."
Freya sighed, grabbed a pillow and was about to get off the bed, "You're sleeping by yourself tonight, I'm sleeping in the guest room."
"No way." He held onto her.
"My legs, my rules. I can go wherever I want, you can't boss me around."
"Are you thinking of ditching me again?"
A hint of pain flashed in his eyes.
"I said, if you can't commit to us wholeheartedly, I'll leave."
Freya knew she was being stubborn.
He was keeping Poppy's things and wouldn't give them to me. What's he up to?
"Do you doubt my feelings?" Bradley tightened his grip on her wrist, his eyes turning red.
The thing between him and Poppy is too complicated.
He didn't want her to get the wrong idea about this, so he hadn't come clean with her.
But for that girl from back then, he just owed her for saving his life, nothing more.
"I trust you, but I don't trust other women."
She thought about all the women around him at the clinic today, feeling jealous.
She knew he was a catch and all.
She could drive those women away today, but what about tomorrow?
She couldn't be with him all the time, and keeping an eye on him!
"If you don't want me to be out in public, then I'll just quit my job and stay home."
Bradley was holding back his anger.
The beast inside him was stirring.
He reminded himself that she was his wife, he couldn't hurt her.
Freya noticed him sweating, like he might be about to get sick again.
She softened, "Let's chill tonight, okay?"
"Freya, don't leave."
He pleaded softly.
Freya hesitated, feeling a bit soft, "I won't leave, I just need some time alone."
"Is this about the whistle? If you want it, it's yours."
"I don't want it, it's someone else's."
"No, it's yours now. "
He held her hand and gave her the jade whistle.
This whistle was originally his.
He grabbed it back and gave it to his own wife, like it was no big deal.
