Chapter 327 To Save You Some Effort, as You Wish.

In this mess, nobody's better suited to be with Sharon than her.

The power of public opinion was scarier than she thought.

She couldn't just sit by and let the rumors spread, especially if it messed with Bradley's revenge scheme.

Seeing her like this was getting to Bradley.

He knew she had a strong will, so if he didn't agree to take her away immediately, it would just make her hold a grudge.

He had got to give in a bit.

"I'll stick around, but I won't show up in front of Sharon!"

Freya felt awkward about it.

However, after thinking it over, staying behind and not showing up could also work.

Finally, she agreed, "Okay, but you have to promise not to pop up without my permission."

"Deal."

Bradley had Shadow set up a room in the hospital, where they could handle all the paperwork.

Soon enough, Sharon woke up.

The minute she opened her eyes, she started crying and making a scene.

"Oh, my poor baby, it's all my fault. I'm such a useless mom. I couldn't keep you safe. Why couldn't they take me instead? If I were gone, I wouldn't have to bear losing my own flesh and blood."

"Mom won't let those jerks off easy. They hurt you, and Mom will make them pay," Sharon sobbed.

Standing by the door, Freya heard that and thought it was pretty funny.

If she actually cared about the kid, would she run a red light like that?

She was just using this kid, not even letting him rest in peace.

Someone like that shouldn't even be called a mom.

Freya swung the door open and strolled in. The second Sharon laid eyes on her, she balled up her fists, seething with hate.

Freya had changed into fresh clothes and looked stunning wherever she stood.

But as she glanced at herself, her skin looked pale, like she'd been through hell and back.

Even though they weren't that far apart in age, she now seemed like she was pushing sixty compared to Freya.

Sharon was very unhappy about it.

This mess was all because of Freya.

If it wasn't for her, she would still be the precious daughter of the Turner family, and she might still have a chance with Lance.

But now, the Turner family had tossed her aside, and she had left town like a stray dog, turning into an easy target for everyone.

She was so angry, she wanted to ruin Freya right this instant.

This woman had wrecked her whole life.

She would make Freya pay for everything she had been through, and felt what it was like to hit rock bottom.

She planned to use the power of public opinion to go after the Austin family, turning Bradley into a feared monster that everyone hated and feared.

Right now, public opinion was on her side. All she had to do was light a fire, and even if Bradley was as capable as could be, he wouldn't be able to escape the fact that he was gone mad and hurt people.

"Are you scared now, huh? Coming here to beg for mercy?"

Sharon glared at her with pure hatred, wanting to rip her apart!

"Do I look like I need to beg you for mercy over these cheap tricks?"

Freya sneered coldly.

"Alright, no need to beg. Just wait till Bradley becomes a total wreck, a monster everyone's after. Let's see how long you will keep that grin."

Sharon cackled.

Freya ignored her and simply sat down across from her, elegantly crossing her legs.

"You want to die, huh? Well, I'm here to lend a hand," she said.

Then she motioned to the bodyguard and grabbed Sharon.

"You need to hit that wall hard if you wanna die. Otherwise, you'll just end up hurting for nothing and suffering even more!"

She turned to the bodyguard and said, "Hit her hard, but keep her breathing. Let her really feel it."

Sharon's face went pale hearing this.

She never imagined Freya would consider getting rough with her.

She tried to bolt, but the bodyguard pinned her down and she couldn't get away.

The things was, with all her injuries, she was as fragile as a ripe tomato, just waiting to be squeezed.

In no time, she was grabbed by the hair and slammed straight into the wall.

It wasn't a life-threatening hit, but it sure made her scream in agony.

"Freya, if you treat me like this, you're gonna get what's coming to you."

Sharon cursed.

Ignoring her, Freya fiddled with her phone while listening to her screams.

In fact, Freya didn't need to be so tough on Sharon, but this woman was just too evil. She had the nerve to expose Bradley's breakdown.

If Sharon had just taken the cash and left quietly, Freya wouldn't have put her through all this.

Sharon's cries and screams filled the room, getting louder by the minute.

Soon enough, her voice went hoarse.

Her freshly healed wound split open, blood gushing out.

Freya lifted her head slowly and told the bodyguard, "Enough, bring her here."

Sharon was hauled up to her knees in front of Freya, bloodied and disheveled.

"You witch, I'll never stop fighting you."

With intense hatred, Sharon threw herself at Freya with all her might.

Yet, before she could reach Freya, she collapsed weakly, gasping for air.

"Don't you love banging into walls? Well, this isn't exactly that, but it'll save you some energy."

Freya smirked down at her.

Her voice was icy, like it came straight from hell.

"Sharon, if you take down that post now and clear things up online, maybe I'll let you go this time. But if you don't want to cooperate, don't expect me to be nice about it!"

"I've got nothing left anyway. I'm not scared of you."

Sharon snapped, her fists clenched with resentment.

"Then you stay right here. Without my permission, you won't take a single step out of this hospital room."

Freya swiped her phone, stationed the bodyguard, and kept everyone away from Sharon.

She even hired a top-notch caregiver to pamper her with tasty meals and drinks three times a day.

She made sure the caregiver snapped pics of the meals and posted them online every day.

The aim? To let the netizens know Sharon was fine, not as pitiful as she claimed.

It was the only way to ease the online chaos a bit.

But the chatter about Bradley losing it and hurting folks just kept blowing up.

Some even called for him to be locked up to prevent any more chaos.

Things got crazier and crazier, spiraling out of control.

Freya was very anxious, unable to come up with a solution right now.

Then, out of the blue, Shadow showed up.

Sent by Bradley, he was worried that Freya was emotionally affected by the online harassment.

"Where's Bradley? Tell him not to show up. I got this," Freya said.

"Mr. Bradley has already handled it. He wants you to know that these rumors will calm down soon," Shadow reported.

"What's his plan?" Freya asked.

"Mr. Bradley wants the hospital to give a report saying he's perfectly fine in every way and post it online. As for Sharon, he's got a top expert to check her mental state, finding some issues. Once these two reports are out, the public will see through the rumors."

Shadow said with a blank expression.
