"Are you sure Sharon's got mental issues?"
"Whether she does or not, that's for the experts to decide."
The message was clear, Bradley had everything set, waiting for the report to go online.
Freya knew Bradley's plan was solid, but in today's world, everyone's all about protecting the underdog.
Plus, Sharon was still holed up in the hospital. Could words on a screen really convince people?
Also, Sharon wasn't playing by the rules. She was ready to go all out, and she would definitely try every trick to get sympathy.
With reporters all over outside the hospital now, if Sharon stayed in the hospital for too long, it would definitely raise suspicions among netizens.
So, it all came down to Sharon.
She had to step out of that hospital looking like a million bucks and set the record straight online.
Once she spoke up, she could shut everyone down.
"Tell Bradley to chill. I got Sharon covered. No need to stress," Freya instructed.
"Got it, Madam."
Shadow replied, heading off to report for duty.
By evening, the hot topic had cooled off.
All the negativity about Bradley going nuts was drowned out by a flood of test reports taking over the internet. Plus, Sharon's mental stability report went up online too, stirring up quite a reaction among netizens.
However, plenty of people weren't buying it, demanding Sharon to explain herself.
Freya decided to have another talk with Sharon.
But the woman wasn't budging, still as stubborn as ever.
Freya figured since the online uproar had died down, there was no need to play nice.
"Go ahead, stick to your guns. But let's see how long you last", she challenged.
She whipped out her phone and tossed it in front of Sharon. "Take a look. If I decided to put these videos of yours online, do you think anyone would trust you anymore? I bet people would be flooding into the hospital, throwing eggs at you, spitting on you, and those women you've hurt wouldn't hold back either."
Sharon glanced at it, her face turning sour.
"Where'd you get these shots?"
"Wherever you've been hiding, I can dig them up," Freya replied.
She grabbed her phone, did a quick edit, and waved it in front of her. "Alright, I just need to hit send, and these photos and videos will spread like wildfire in no time. So get ready for the main chick to come knocking, ready to throw down with you and those other ladies."
She had Ella snoop into Sharon's recent whereabouts.
Turned out, she'd hit the jackpot.
After the Turner family fell apart, Sharon got the boot and ended up working at a nightclub.
The pics and videos were all steamy shots of her with clients. Once they hit the web, it would cause a stir for sure.
"Delete my photos!"
Sharon freaked out, tried to snatch it right away.
Freya dodged easily, taunting, "You want it gone? Here's the deal. You record a video now, saying that everything you said earlier was just a lie, that Bradley didn't lose control and didn't hurt you. If you make me happy, I'll delete the pics."
"Freya, you're so despicable!"
"I might not be as sneaky as you, but I'm losing patience. So, you better hurry up and think. Otherwise, if I slip up, this post might accidentally get sent out..."
She pretended to shake her hand on purpose, scaring Sharon into speaking up quickly.
"Fine, I'll do it. You delete first, then I'll record."
"Nope, record first, then delete. I don't trust you."
Freya tossed her another phone, saying, "Stick to the script. One wrong word, and I won't take it back once it's out."
Reluctantly, Sharon clenched her fist and looked at her.
She couldn't handle another blow. Her current status and health were no match for Freya's.
She grabbed her phone and started recording.
"Hello everyone, I'm Sharon Turner. I need to straighten out something about my previous report on Austin Group's CEO, Bradley Austin, freaking out and hurting people. It was all a misunderstanding. I was just feeling a bit off mentally at the time, and I got mistakenly believe that Mr. Austin harmed me!"
"I suffer from severe depression and I caused all the injuries myself, with no one else to blame. I apologize to everyone for the trouble I've caused to public opinion."
Freya sat back, nodding in approval.
Sharon paused the video reluctantly and handed back the phone. "I've done what you asked, now delete the photos right away."
"You're a good sport. So, I gotta play fair too, right?"
Freya deleted the post and pics.
After all, she could always restore them, not a big deal.
She uploaded the video online, making waves across the web.
I had no idea Sharon was really mentally unstable. So, obviously, what she said earlier is meaningless.
And that's how this incident got buried.
Freya sorted Sharon's discharge from the hospital,
They thought the hospital entrance would be crowded with reporters, but to their surprise, everyone avoided Sharon when they saw her.
"She's mentally unstable, so stay away from her. What if she ends up hurting someone?"
"Yeah, exactly! Psychiatric patients are just crazy people, and they are the scariest."
Hearing the comments, Sharon clenched her fist, seething with rage.
Hating won't change a thing. You're the one with the evil intentions causing harm first, so don't blame others for being ruthless later. If you start living right and stop spreading lies and causing chaos, I won't bother you. But if you keep causing trouble, I'll ensure you're treated like a public menace, everyone will want to get rid of you..."
Freya's phone rang right after she finished speaking.
It was Xavier.
Mitch's blood test had come out, confirming that the toxins in his body have been cleared.
Xavier planned to give Bradley a shot today. They were all gearing up at the Royal Garden Mansion, and he wanted Freya to hurry back.
Freya didn't waste a sec, zooming back home.
Maybe it was the lack of sleep or just nerves, but she rear-ended the car in front.
The driver flipped, refusing to call the cops or settle quietly. So, they ended up arguing in the middle of the road.
Freya was in a hurry to get home and didn't feel like arguing with him.
She was about to dial Ella for backup when she heard a familiar voice behind her.
"Freya?"
She turned and bumped into a familiar, good-looking man.
"Lance, what brings you here?"
"I was going to Cloudstone to handle some business, and I saw your car rear-end another. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just dealing with a stubborn driver who won't let it slide."
Freya was on edge. Everyone was waiting for her back home.
The other driver eyed Lance then turned to look at the luxury car behind him, his eyes sparkling.
