Chapter 346 My Wife Has the Final Say

Lance caught only the beginning, disregarding the mention of Fenton Pharmaceutical Group acquisition afterward.

Stepping closer to Freya, his voice deepened, "Freya, may I have a word with you?"

Freya pressed her lips together, her fists clenching silently.

She knew exactly what Lance wanted to discuss, he must be suspicious of her identity.

She was about to respond when Bradley preempted her,

If Mr. Lance wishes to speak with my wife, he can do so here.

His tone was frosty, his dark eyes brimming with animosity.

Freya discreetly grasped his hand, leaning in to whisper softly in his ear, "Darling, let me talk to him outside. I promise to keep my distance, okay?"

"No."

His tone was unwavering.

"I really need to discuss important matters with him and clarify things."

Freya pleaded softly.

Ignoring the surrounding crowd, the two leaned in to whisper to each other.

But he refused to compromise, arrogantly pulling her into his embrace, unwilling to let her go.

Freya took a deep breath and coaxed softly, "As long as you agree, I'll do anything you ask when we get home."

"Anything?"

His gaze immediately shifted.

Freya's hand landed on his waist, giving it a playful poke as she shyly affirmed, "Yes."

"If you want to see him, I'll accompany you."

Freya was momentarily taken aback.

Having him by her side would increase the risk of exposure.

Refusing wasn't an option at this point, nor was agreeing, leaving her in a dilemma.

Ultimately, they compromised, choosing to converse in a fully glass-walled room with no privacy, while Bradley stood guard outside.

Freya turned back to Lance with a smile, making a reassuring gesture.

"Is he very strict with you?" he asked.

Observing this, Lance furrowed his brows deeply.

Freya didn't directly answer his question but instead smiled faintly, "Does Mr. Lance have someone he's fond of?"

At her words, Lance's gaze softened.

He looked at Freya, inadvertently showing a hint of tenderness.

Meanwhile, Bradley stood outside, closely monitoring Lance's every move.

Seeing the affectionate gaze Lance directed at Freya, Bradley suddenly felt uneasy.

Indeed, Lance had his eyes set on his woman.

His gaze immediately turned menacing, as if he intended to bore through the glass and pierce Lance with a thousand daggers.

Lance sensed the hostility emanating from outside. He parted his lips, "Hmm."

"Since you also have someone that you care for, you should be able to understand. After all, anyone would feel uneasy if their beloved were with someone else,"

Freya's words neither directly addressed Bradley's strictness nor hinted at affection.

The smile at the corner of Lance's mouth vanished instantly, and his heart clenched painfully.

He watched Freya's joyful expression, a fleeting trace of sadness crossing his eyes.

But it disappeared in an instant, and he quickly regained his composure.

Changing the subject, he said, "Let's discuss the matter of the pass. Why was it in your possession?"

"Someone gave it to me."

She refused to admit that she was Poppy, as it would complicate matters with Lance later.

"Can you reveal who gave it to you?"

Lance squinted, his gaze fixed on Freya without wavering.

Freya lowered her eyes slightly, carefully choosing her words and taking a deep breath.

"Ella's clinic needed a certain medicine, so they asked Poppy for help. Poppy then gave Ella a permit, but she couldn't come due to an emergency, so she asked me to come in her stead and collect the medicine..."

"You know Poppy?"

"Not me, it's Milo,"

Freya could only begin with an apology to Milo.

After weighing her options, she concluded that this explanation was the most plausible.

"I'm sorry, I didn't anticipate such a commotion over a simple errand to pick up medicine. I didn't mean to cause you so much trouble," she sincerely apologized.

"It's alright, I'll personally sort out this matter," Lance reassured her.

"Okay, I..."

Freya was about to say something when the door was pushed open from outside.

Impatient with their prolonged discussion and annoyed by Lance's presence, Bradley barged in.

He strode toward Freya and possessively wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Are you finished talking?" he demanded.

Freya was about to deny it, but seeing Bradley's hostile glare at Lance, she simply nodded.

Yes, we're done. Let's go home.

"No, let's discuss the acquisition of Fenton Pharmaceutical Group together."

Bradley glanced at Lance coldly.

Lance's expression darkened. "If you wish to acquire Fenton Pharmaceutical Group, you must ascertain whether you have the appetite for it."

The tension between them was palpable as they locked eyes, emotions simmering beneath the surface.

Sensing the impending conflict, Freya swiftly intervened, "Darling, Austin Group doesn't invest in the medical industry. Why do you want to acquire Fenton Pharmaceutical Group?"

"Because it's for you."

Bradley's tone softened with affection.

Freya was taken aback, looking at him incredulously.

Acquiring Fenton Pharmaceutical Group would cost at least a billion.

Yet, Bradley wanted to acquire it and gift it to her?

"You understand medicine. I'll hand over the management of this pharmaceutical company to you. Perhaps you want to transform it into a laboratory, you can do that too," Bradley continued, his voice filled with adoration.

Bradley's tone was earnest, with a sincerity that was hard to miss.

Every decision he made was not mere talk, but backed by action.

After Freya's initial surprise, she leaned in close to his ear and whispered, "You don't have to do that, darling. I already own over a dozen clinics. There's no need to spend a fortune acquiring Fenton Pharmaceutical Group."

"With so many clinics and still lacking the herbs you need, while Fenton Pharmaceutical Group has them, it's worth it for me to buy it,"

Bradley replied, his demeanor unwavering.

Having spoken, he wrapped his arm around Freya's waist and strode confidently outside.

As they reached the doorway, he glanced back at Lance, a hint of provocation playing on his lips.

The trio returned to the conference room.

Jonathan and Lucas wore grim expressions.

"Bradley, is there any room for negotiation in this matter?"

Jonathan asked urgently.

Bradley had presented a lot of evidence of Fenton Group's fraudulent activities earlier. If this evidence were to be leaked, it could lead to the closure of Fenton Pharmaceutical Group and possibly even spell legal trouble for them.

"I can't decide on that. My wife has the final say,"

Bradley declared dominantly as he took his seat.

If he hadn't witnessed Lucas mistreating his wife, he wouldn't have been so furious.

Fenton Pharmaceutical Group either had to shut down or be acquired by Austin Group.

"Mrs. Austin, Lucas didn't know your identity, which led to his offense. I'll have him apologize to you. Please forgive us!"

Jonathan pleaded, sweat dripping down his forehead.

Fenton Pharmaceutical Group was his self-made success story.

Although he had used some unethical means, he had kept it under wraps for years, and no one had dared to dig into it.

Who would have thought that Bradley, in just a few hours, would expose all his dark history?

With just this evidence, he could be imprisoned for a lifetime.

Having said that, he turned to Lucas and sternly ordered, "You scoundrel, apologize to Mrs. Austin!"

"Mrs. Austin, I apologize for my oversight!"

Lucas said, feeling extremely guilty after seeing the evidence.
