Chapter 374 Don't Take Children's Words Too Seriously

"Brian, we're trapped!"

Brody was on the verge of tears.

This game wasn't fun at all. He regretted it.

"What's there to fear? It's just death!"

Compared to Brody's nervousness, Brian appeared calm.

He instantly took off his outer clothing, threatening the guards with the bomb on his chest.

"Let us go, or I'll take you all down with me."

Nobody approached him because of the bomb on his chest, but they didn't make room either.

"Fine. I'll take you all down with me if you don't let us go."

Brian was at his wit's end. He reached out to pull the detonator cord.

At that moment, a piercing scream escaped his lips as his legs weakened and he crumpled to the ground.

Freya rushed towards him, her silver needle poised to strike his arm again.

Now, Brian was too feeble to pull the detonator.

Seeing this, Brody's face turned pale with fear.

It's over. They were going to die.

Brody was so scared as the couple approached relentlessly that he fell to his knees and begged for mercy.

"Miss, please spare us. We won't dare do it again."

At this point, survival was all that mattered.

Freya stared at him coldly and sneered, "Do you still want to marry me?"

"No, I don't ..."

Brian shook his head.

Just moments ago, he had thought this woman was incredibly cool and beautiful. But as he watched her smile, goosebumps erupted all over his skin.

She looked like the Lilith.

"Take them back, then notify Ian Logan to come and redeem them in person!"

Bradley ordered, waving his hand.

Since they belonged to Ian Logan, let's play with them properly!

Shadow instructed his men to take Brian and Brody away.

Bradley left the amusement park with Freya, holding Matthew in one hand because he was scared.

In the car.

Matthew fell asleep, leaning against Bradley.

Bradley squinted at Freya and raised an eyebrow. "I didn't expect my wife to know bomb defusal techniques."

"There's still a lot you don't know about me."

She looked around to avoid his stare while tossing her hair.

After all, she had kept her identity a secret from him.

She worried she wouldn't be able to explain if Bradley inquired further.

Fortunately, he didn't continue that topic after mentioning it casually.

"Oh no, even ten-year-olds are starting to eye you up! What should I do with you?" he said, squinting as he leaned towards her.

Freya pursed her lips, looking helpless. "He's just a kid. Why are you jealous of him?"

"He openly provoked me. Don't you think I have a reason to be jealous? Hmm?"

He directly grabbed her chin, his eyes flashing dangerously.

"Don't take children's words too seriously."

"But I took it seriously."

Freya laughed as she saw his jealousy-tinged face.

"If you're jealous, then deal with those two brats properly! They have no idea what they're doing, causing trouble at the amusement park. They can't get away with this!"

Thank goodness she came in time, or innocent tourists might have been victimized.

Two ten-year-old children act viciously, as if people's lives were nothing.

She couldn't rest assured until she taught them a lesson.

"Don't worry, I'll have Shadow care for them properly!"

Bradley's eyes flashed with a hint of murderous intent.

...

At this moment, in the Duke's Palace.

A guard hurriedly barged in.

"Duke, there's trouble!"

"What's the matter?"

Ian asked sharply.

"The boys went to the amusement park to play with bombs and were ... caught by Leonard Newman."

"What did you say?"

Ian was shocked, slamming the table as he rose from his seat.

"Leonard sent a messenger to inform you that you must personally come to ransom your sons or be prepared to collect their corpses!"

"Those two scoundrels! Who gave them the audacity to provoke Leonard Newman!"

Ian's face was extremely grim.

Knowing Leonard was in the Solterra, he dared not confront him directly.

Unfortunately, these two ignorant brats stirred up such trouble!

Now that the boys were in Leonard's hands, they would be either dead or severely punished!

"Duke, you have to save our sons!"

The third lady, Zoey Wagner, ran in crying. She tugged at his sleeve and pleaded.

"You spoiled them rotten. That's why, they're acting recklessly. Now that they're in Leonard Newman's hand, do you think I can save them at will?" Ian said coldly.

Zoey's face was streaked with tears.

"Since they have brought trouble, let them suffer a bit and learn a lesson."

"Duke, they are our children! Can you bear to see them suffer?" cried Zoey.

"If you don't let them suffer, do you want me to go and ask Leonard for the boys? Do you forget that Kevin is eyeing my every move, waiting to catch me off guard and kill me? Not to mention Leonard's deep hatred towards me. I doubt I'd make it back alive if I show up!"

Ian paced back and forth anxiously.

Leonard in the open and Kevin in the shadows chased him desperately, wanting his death.

Venturing out would undoubtedly be a suicidal move.

"If you won't go, then must our sons be the ones to face death? Duke, what did you promise me back then? You said you would protect my children and me, granting them the highest honors. Yet now they are in danger. How can you turn a blind eye?"

Zoey collapsed onto Ian, pleading with him in tears.

"I can't do anything about it anymore! Haven't they caused enough trouble over the years? Every time, it's been me cleaning up after them. If they get a lesson this time, they may learn to behave. It might not be a bad thing," Ian said, pushing her away before turning and leaving.

"Ian Logan. Brian and Brody are your flesh and blood! How can you sacrifice your son? Are you even human?" Zoey roared from behind

Ian paused but did not turn back.

The tension between him and Kevin had reached a breaking point. Launching a rescue operation at this time would not only put the boys in jeopardy but also the entire Duke's Palace.

With the throne within his grasp, he couldn't afford any missteps.

Zoey cried miserably behind him and finally fainted.

Ian also turned a deaf ear and turned away.

The twilight descended upon the villa.

After returning from the dungeon with bloodstains on his body, Bradley took a quick shower before seeking out Freya.

She sat on the balcony, lost in thought after returning from the amusement park.

So much had happened recently, and she still needed to process it fully. That's why her mind was a bit fuzzy.

"What's on your mind?"

Bradley gently hugged her from behind.

"I'm thinking about what kind of life you used to live."

She leaned all her weight on him, the scent of his body wash lingering on his skin after his recent shower.
